He can always seem to realize he is dead, yelling against living people while they can't hear him or trying to shield Lila even though everything can pass through him. Even so, he is kind and caring and often helps Lila talk to people when she doesn't want to.

Plot: A year has passed since the wretched ball. We had lost one of our assistants; Natsuko. Since then Phantomhive Manor has been a quiet estate, with little to no lively events. The manor had remained quiet, and rarely ever did you hear noise, besides the occasional talking, or noise of something like a plate breaking. Phantomhive Estate had a few maids. Some had left after the incident, being too scared to even go near the estate, but some stayed. Some had said that our own butler, Sebastian killed Natsuko, but surely that couldn't be true. For all we knew, Natsuko could still be alive. There was little to no hope, though.
