Maybe it won't be Lakesiders who provide that spark. Maybe Paige and Icaron can do it, changing attitudes from the inside instead of out.

I was going to list Rita off-limits for the Adamson-Bries, but all the Adamson-Bries are girls, and I just realized that as I was typing. Blake and Kate's kids are off-limits to Clark and Ryker's.

I guess so... I imagine the shifters took pity on Icaron and Paige just came with that. They eventually become friends with the shifters over time.
