vicious cats, thirsty for power. they overtook the leader, taking control of
the clan. the cats of the clan, too afraid of the over-takers. it was utter c
haos." as the tom's voice slowly faded out, but the kits were unfulfilled. a
lighter, less youthful voice chimed in. "you can't just stop a story like that,
especially for the young ones," the she-cat scolded. "the clan was tarnish
ed for moons... that was, until a handsome, determined tom decided en
ough was enough," she purred. "he gathered cats and rebelled. the battles
were brutal. with the tom's determination and strength, however, they cl
an cats finally won. things from then until about fifteen months later are
blurred and long forgotten, but he found a new land. he called this moss
clan. from then, we have flourished. all is fine now, and we have many g

avocetstar's head tilted to the side and found herself in a daydream after a while of sitting. she was almost motionless at the time, besides the rise and fall of her chest as she breathed. as almost as quick as it started, it also stopped. the sound of something being set in front of her flooded into her ears, halting her little wonderland. her eyes laid upon wolfnose, a charming black and white tom. anytime she came in contact with the cat she couldn't help but just stare into his pale eyes. there was something about them that was just so enchanting. that is about the only way to put it.
a soft chuckle found it's way out of her mouth which was followed by a purr. "morning, wolfnose," she meowed, her voice soft yet playful, "oh really, now?" her tail swatted from side to side, presenting her happy mood. "even if i did have a choice, i'd be happy to." she continued her quiet purr, politely motioning with her ear to sit down. with all of this done, she hesitantly took a small bite out of the squirrel. she wanted to make sure that wolfnose had all that he wanted before she ate too big of a portion. after all, he was the bulkier one of the two cats.
"speaking of prey," she began after taking another small bite out of the animal. "do you think that you'd want to go on a hunting patrol with me? you could bring duckpaw, and a few other cats if you please." she eyed the fresh-kill pile, seeing that it was a bit low on prey.

In the middle of his basking, lizardtail heard a voice from behind him. he twisted his head around and laid his eyes on rainwhisker, a fellow warrior. he wasn't one to talk much, but he didn't want to be rude to the she-cat. besides, they were acquaintances and he just wanted to know her a little better. "is resting a bad thing?" he replied with his usual quiet yet low voice while a purr happened to find it's way out of his chest. just as he was about to say something more, another familiar face came up and meowed. "morning you two." the orange tabby matched the brown and white cat up with the name acornstripe. he never really interacted with him other than a few words of greeting here and there.
m-mornin', acornstripe," he said hastily, not wanting to strike up a conversation very much. he wasn't one to talk with one than more person at a time, if at all. to make him not want to speak even more, he didn't really know the two cats very well. he sort of knew rainwhisker, but not enough to be best friends so far.
suddenly, a voice rang out above all of the others. "hey! lizardtail!" he yelped, jumping to his feet with his fur standing on end. his head whipped to the other side, his eyes wide open. noticing it was only troutpaw, his apprentice, he let out a heavy sigh. "troutpaw!

there has always been a tale that cats with blue eyes are deaf. t
his is nothing less than true for this little she-cat. mintpaw was bo
rn a clan-cat to the couple icytail and duckpelt. she was an only kit,
having no brother or sister by her side. she was named mintkit fo
r her light coat which resembled pale purple, almost white looking,
mint flower. no one suspected anything was wrong with her. all the
cats just thought she was an ordinary kit that would grown into a
fine warrior. however, all of those thoughts vanished as they found
she would not respond to anything. no matter how loud they yowl
ed, no matter how close they got to her... nothing. her parents we
re heartbroken, contemplating if they should even call the kit their
own. they decided against this, however they refused to help the
kit in any way other than giving it milk to survive. after a few mo
ons of seeing her parents were doing nothing to aid her with her di
sability, a senior warrior decided to take charge and help the wh
ite kit. as soon as she was old enough to understand her surroundin
gs, he devised a way for her to communicate with other cats; body
language. it took extended amounts of times, but she finally caught
on. each day came lesson upon lesson, teaching her what squirrels,
trees, herbs, and everything in between was and giving it a certain
movement. by the time she became an apprentice, mintpaw could c
ommunicate well with other felines. the cats around her learned how
to depict what she wanted to to say. although she could be almost a n
ormal clan cat, her parents finally decided that it was not worth it to
have a kit with disabilities. they moved on altogether, forgetting their
little kitten that they loved so dearly at the first days of her life. mintp
aw had gotten used to her kin neglecting her, so she payed no mind to it.
she kept training in the normal ways of an apprentice. now, as expected,
she is bullied here and there for these facts, but she always manages to
push it off. she hopes to have a mate and kits in her future, but she is fi
ne with being independent as well. she will always try her best to push
through what starclan and other cats throw at her.
