Hey guys ill b back at around 4pm pacific time today

The following information is totally irrelevant but
I just wanted to share this with you guys because for
some reason it totally fascinates me.

In my College English class we are currently working
on something called an "Ethnography" project, where
we have to pick a certain subculture (if you don't know
what that is, it's basically a group of people who you
can't just "become" a part of. [ex: tattoo artists, doomsday
preppers, ghost hunters, hockey fans etc]). And our
group (me and two of my friends) decided to pick dancers.

While we've had absolutely no luck getting any sort of
studio or school to contact us back so we can interview
and observe, I've gotten some interesting feedback from
my school.

We sent out these surveys (the replies were anonymous)
but we separated them from our peers versus our teachers.

And some of the teachers responses are so deep (others
not really haha). One of the questions was "what stereotypes
do you think of/know of when you hear dancers". Some
put bulimic or anorexic and one even said "that men have
to be gay in order to be dancers" and just, hearing those
things from my teachers for some reason intrigues me.
I was expecting more of those sorts of comments from my
peers and I didn't really get any from them. At least not
ones in that deep of thought.

we didn't really have a specific
style, so to speak. Our main
"point" (I use the word loosely)
in our essay is to prove how
much dedication and hard
work a dancer puts into their
work(? is that the right word?)

We actually have a list of
interview questions written
out if you want me to possibly
maybe pm them to you and you
can answer any of them? er
if you want <3 I know you haven't
been feeling to well so I completely
understand otherwise ^^

How can you get your body to do that? Like I can play music and stuff but when it comes to dancing. I'm just awful
I mean just dance appreciates my skills but

well, i can't say for sure since i've been dancing since i was just a baby. you
have to succumb yourself to the rhythm and basically be free about it. it's
probably easier said than done, but you know, it's all about enjoying
yourself in the moment when you're dancing :3

woah, it's amazing that you can play music. i admire you for that.

finish his present life.

I agree with zoso ^^ I wish I had other talents XD
I can do artsy stuff (unless it's arts and crafts then I will
die because I personally can't stand doing it) and I play
the clarinet and bass clarinet XD that's about it haha

I used to do ballet and tap. But I wanted to get into
tumbling and gymnastics but my mom said we could
afford it and I'd just secretly think "...you could if
you weren't paying for both classes"

so @tono ;; does this mean you can do the splits o.o

Yeah, I don't know. I can certainly try and dance and feel pretty happy while doing it but jeeze, it does not look good at all. haha.

my friends and I joke that you can either be good with music or dancing. Only Beyonce can have both.

the clarinet is so weirdly cute sounding I love it. XD the only non-string or percussion instrument I play is the alto saxophone and idk the clarinet is so much more adorable imo

haha, but artsy stuff is great. any kind of artistic/musical skills are super cool in my
book. everyone should be proud of themselves and their capabilities c:

aw, avan cx did you ever get to being in tumbling and gymnastics?

ah yeah, i can do the splits either front or middle. it was like "omg can i die now"
painful when i first began practicing the splits, but now it's really easy. once you
get the hang of it, you don't even have to watch what you're doing.
