I have a new plan that will allow a temporary absence. After rewatching Fairy Tail(for the umpteenth time), I got some more inspiration from the Oracion Seis Arc. What if their plan was to create a new 'Nirvana', only this one is designed to 'return the world to its natural state of chaos' and is thusly called Niflheim? This could set it up so that each of the Sins has their own vital part to protect, each linked to a final piece that at first seems unguarded. Then, when the Sins are defeated and time is running out, Sin is revealed as the final and toughest enemy. At that point, people would need to work together to take him out and destroy the final section in time.
