elijah was born in the suburbs. with a normal family; normal life. the ladies absolutely loved him. he didn't really take much interest in them. until highschool. there was a girl, named kaitlynn, who he quickly fell in love with. she fell in love with him back, and when he asked her out, she said yes almost immediately. they dated for a few years. then prom came around. elijah asked her to the prom, and obviously she said yes. kaitlynn was the girl in his dreams. so; they went to prom. they kissed, danced, all of that normal stuff. until it happened.
men in black busted into his school's gymnasium, with masks and guns. they yelled at everyone to get on the ground. elijah quickly went flat onto his stomach. but to his surprise, kaitlynn stood standing. he whispered for her to get down, but she just simply shook her head. she stood her ground, staring at the men in black. eli was now desperate, begging her to get down. but she just shook her head again. one of the men in black turned towards her, and jarred his gun at her. kaitlynn glared at him. it was then elijah's world came crashing down. the man stepped forward, towards kaitlynn, pointed the gun at her face, and shot.
elijah remembers her falling backwards, onto the floor, blood leaking from her head. he crawled towards her, but in response, the same man who shot kaitlynn, shot elijah, in the arm. he had gasped in pain, but kept crawling towards his dead girlfriend. tears poured from his cheeks; he didnt want to loose his first girlfriend! but she was already gone. as quickly as the men in black came in, they were gone. he had shakily stood up, and everyone quickly surrounded him and his dead girlfriend. they started to ask if he was okay, but elijah just heard gibberish. he had pushed everyone away, curled his arms to his sides, and staggered out of the building. about seven people quickly followed him. they didnt want him to get hurt.
elijah fell to his knees, hands cupping his face. he then wept, for about three hours. the people who followed him stayed with him the whole time. a girl he had only just met, sat down beside him, but eli ignored everyone there. when she had put her hand on his shoulder, he shrugged her off. elijah stood up a little bit too quickly, swaying as he did. he shot glares at everyone around him, and bolted for his car. he was the fastest kid in his highschool. elijah quickly got in his car, slammed the door shut, and locked the doors. people started swarming around his car, banging on the doors and windows. in response, he just drove away quickly, sobbing, and bleeding. elijah doesn't like talking about his girlfriend, and doesnt really want to get a new one. he a senior.
