Well, it seems the discussion is kicking off, so I'll introduce myself as well. :3
Hello, everyone! I'm Greenleaf, but feel free to call me anything you'd like. I'm the creator and owner of this RP and I'm looking forwards to roleplaying with you all! ^-^
My only character is Legolas, and while I'd prefer not to open him romantically to anyone, bromances are perfectly fine. XP

Having an interaction between Nerevar and Legolas would definitely be inherently fascinating, due to Legolas being an elf and Nerevar being of an elven-like race. As you mentioned, their two worlds have similar aspects so that'd quicken the friendship between them, as well. :3

Just seeing how all the characters interact with each other at first will certainly be intriguing, what with their current predicament and all. :P

As for what NY currently looks like, as a matter of fact it's true that I had always envisioned it as looking like a kind of apocalyptic Halo-esque city (I have a few friends who are obsessed with it). XD I would imagine that before the apocalypse, New York had undoubtedly expanded over the course of the years, and eventually it was its immense size that led to its downfall, as it couldn't support itself amongst the chaos of the spreading virus and the natural disasters. Essentially, New York now is obviously very broken-down; buildings are cracked and crumbling, and some parts of it are even partially flooded due to burst pipes. The few human survivors are desperate, terrified and dangerous, and domesticated animals-turned-wild roam the streets. To say the place is wrecked would be an understatement. XP

As far as introductions go, I am hisoka and you can call me whatever strikes your fancy, I will most likely answer to it.

@~DragonairInfinity~ - I'm in the same boat as you, basically. Kaneki has the "I'll befriend you if you're useful to me" type of mentality, so I doubt he would make any solid relationships right off of the bat. Not to mention the fact that he needs to eat humans in order to survive... that might make him seem a little unfriendly :'D He's a nice guy underneath that ruffian exterior, I swear.

I am really excited to see the characters try to adapt to their new surroundings, though, considering some are coming from the more medieval-styled backgrounds while others were already in a similar, modern-esque setting.

Tracer dual-wields two pulse pistols. They don't use ammo but do need to recharge every now and again. These are 'sheathed' and 'unsheathed' from the 'gauntlets' on her arms.

She also carries something called a pulse bomb on her person. She tosses/places it down on someone or something and after a certain amount of time, an explosion of energy happens which is like any other explosion and can be lethal. They are small and lightweight, only about the size of her palm.

Abilities
"Haha! Now this is where things get fun 'n interestin'!"
Tracer has the ability to control her own time. It is an ability that is limitless until she gets the normal fighting fatigue.

She is able to 'blink' forward in small bursts, basically zipping around like a rabbit on steroids. She can do this while in mid-air as well and zip side-to-side and this ability usually helps prevent her from suffering any fall damage.

She is also able to 'recall' herself, blinking backwards in her own time to a previous position and state of being. This doesn't work on wounds however.

Her chronal accelerator which gives her these abilities (her chest piece) can be hit and sent offline for some moments but it will self repair itself after about half a minute or so. When it 'breaks', her pulse pistols and bombs also are no longer usable and she is left basically defenseless as she can also no longer control her own time without it. It must be kept on at all times.

History
"I got nothin' to hide!"
Lena Oxton (call sign: "Tracer") was the youngest person ever inducted into Overwatch's experimental flight program. Known for her fearless piloting skills, she was handpicked to test the prototype of a teleporting fighter, the Slipstream. But during its first flight, the aircraft's teleportation matrix malfunctioned, and it disappeared. Lena was presumed dead.

She reappeared months later, but her ordeal had greatly changed her: her molecules had been desynchronized from the flow of time. Suffering from "chronal disassociation," she was a living ghost, disappearing for hours and days at a time. Even for the brief moments she was present, she was unable to maintain physical form.

Overwatch's doctors and scientists were stumped, and Tracer's case seemed hopeless until a scientist named Winston designed the chronal accelerator, a device capable of keeping Tracer anchored in the present. In addition, it gave Tracer the ability to control her own time, allowing her to speed it up and slow it down at will. With her newfound skills, she became one of Overwatch's most effective agents.

Since Overwatch's dissolution, Tracer has continued to right wrongs and fight the good fight wherever the opportunity presents itself.

Personality
"I'd like ta say I got a cheery disposition!"
Tracer, despite the troubles she's gone through, has quite a very optimistic and cheery outlook on things. Even during the war that she partook in with Overwatch she was always there, helping where she was needed and always providing a cheering up. Her famous phrase came into play during this time: "Cheers, love! The cavalry's here.". It was always a saying she'd tell the more disparate people in order to cheer them up and make them feel better.

During a fight, Tracer loves to play games with her enemy and she can be a quite bit unpredictable. She doesn't like going for the kill but don't assume that means she won't. She is like a little kid sometimes when fighting someone, always giggling and always with that smirk or smile on her face like she knows something you don't. She enjoys a good fight, which is why she 'plays games' while doing so. Nothing ever seems to get this upbeat former Overwatch agent and current-time adventurer down in the dumps or get her angry.

She can never sit or stand still for too long though. She always likes to be on the move. She's a go, go, go kind of gal that can be impatient at times. She loves to socialize and isn't afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone, even if the person doesn't look friendly.

Normally the actual weapons Max wields are provided by a cybernetic soldier known as C.Y.T.R.O but seeing as the one who controls said cybernetic soldier is not with them, he has no weapons in the actual wielding department.
As for Steel, his weapons are Turbo energy lasers that shoot from the tips of his appendages. However, he can be used as a weapon by Max Steel. He can be fully charged with Turbo energy and used as a sort of boomerang (given the name turbo-rang) although this attack makes Steel quite dizzy. He can also fire a Turbo laser from his center when charged with Turbo energy by Max.
Abilities
Being linked to Steel has granted Max a multitude of abilities. However, he must switch between 'modes' in order to be granted them and also needs Steel in order to switch between them, otherwise he stays stuck in the Turbo Mode he's left in. He also cannot go more than six hours without being linked to Steel otherwise his Turbo energy becomes extremely unstable and can cause an explosion that would not only kill himself but destroy everything else around him due to his human side being unable to contain it like a Tachyon could.
Turbo Modes
Those are Max's modes. From left to right: Strength, Speed, Flight, Rocket, Cannon, Heat, Clone, Spike, Scuba, and Stealth.

Strength- Max gains super human strength in that mode, able to lift tons without breaking a sweat. This is his only advantage in this mode.
Speed- Max gains super speed, like Flash from the DC Comics universe. This is his only advantage in this mode.
Flight- Max gains flight and can move faster than on land but not as fast as Speed. This is his only advantage in this mode.
Rocket- Max gains flight as well as four Turbo energy blasters. He also gains super strength, possibly more than Strength Mode. This mode takes a lot of energy out of him however.
Cannon- Max can charge himself up with Turbo energy and launch himself like a, as his mode name shows, cannonball. Gains a bit strength as well in this mode. This mode also uses up a lot of energy.
Heat- Max has flamethrowers for arms and his flames burn hotter than any known fire, even lava, being charged with Turbo energy. This mode also takes a lot of energy out of him however.
Clone- Max has the ability to basically clone himself, no matter what mode he's in. He creates clones of himself of that mode though cannot do it for Fire or Rocket mode due to how much energy they already take.
Spike- Max basically is able to be like Spiderman but with spikes. This mode gives him more agility and movement like that of a ninja. He is able to fire his spikes as projectiles and this mode has turbo-charged energy blades as well.
Scuba- Max gains the ability to breathe underwater and swim with the speed of a fish. This is his only advantage in this mode.
Stealth- Max gains the ability to go invisible and attack while invisible but he cannot gain any other advantages in this mode, being at normal strength. If he isn't careful about where he's walking, his footprints can be seen and if something is dumped on him, he can be revealed even if he's staying invisible (like mud dumped on him, the usual invisibility disadvantages).

Max can only go into these modes one at a time. He can NEVER combine them (except in the case of clone mode which is clones of his current mode). He can also be vulnerable while switching between them, if the timing is right on the opponent's part.
Turbo Mode Switch
This above is what he looks like switching except his identity can't be seen and he's covered in turbo energy. His Turbo energy bursts outward and Steel creates the mode using the burst out Turbo energy.

He also has another mode he is really embarrassed about that Steel likes to make come out sometimes when he's in the mood called Super mode. He basically gains super powers (like flight, laser eyes, super strength) but they are only activated through voice commands like how comic super heroes do it sometimes. He has not learned all of them yet.

Steel's abilities include being able to practically hack anything though the more complex the encryption, the longer it takes. He is also able to mimic some of Max's Turbo Modes such as Super, Strength, and Cannon.

Steel cannot be unlinked from Max for more than six hours, otherwise his Turbo energy reserves fall low and he powers down completely, if not for good. He is also able to speak in Max's mind so no one can hear him due to their link but Max cannot speak back to him in his mind, so far as he knows. He's also able to be used as a portable cell phone and such.

Beneath the Surface
History (Warning: Spoilers)
Max grew up a normal child though he and his mother were always moving, never staying in one place for long. So far as he knew, his father was killed during an experiment and he was completely human. However, at age 16 or so, his life began to take a turn. His turbo energy began to show up, getting more and more unstable as he grew up. He fought off some bullies at his new school who were picking on another kid named Kirby (later to be his best friend) and his Turbo energy began to go out of whack. He nearly destroyed an entire building that was in the middle of construction because of it and his Uncle Ferrus and fellow N-Tek agents grabbed him and took him to a chamber in their secret Headquarters where they began to try and 'discharge' his turbo energy to prevent him from 'overloading'. However, it proved to be too much but in the process, awakened Steel from his long 16 year slumber. The two linked up and 'escaped' (Steel thought they were being held 'prisoner') before they were told all about N-Tek and what it did, though many secrets were kept, like who he and his father really were.

Max's first nemesis became those of a company called THI (Trans-Human Industries). Jason Naught was thought to be the enemy though it was later revealed that Miles Dredd was the actual villain behind everything. He was the scientist who 'betrayed' N-Tek, thought to be dead alongside Max's father, who created a device to absorb Turbo Energy. Dredd was thought defeated and Molly, Max's mother, took over THI and revamped the entire place to work for N-Tek. During this time, Max, known as Max Steel in his hero guise, has made friends with Kirby Kowalski and Sydney Gardner, fellow high school students at Copper Canyon High.

Molly later on fired a brilliant, but quite crazy, Bio-Geneticist by the name of Tytus Octavius Xander due to his inhumane experiments in creating a cure for diseases, instead making a toxic pollutant, who later became Toxzon, another nemesis able to use toxic wastes and oil and such to his advantage. He talks to a plastic gold fish he named Fishy that he thinks talks back to him.

As Max Steel continues to fight against villains like Dredd, Mega Metal Elementor (a Megalink made up of four Ultralinks and a Megalink, the Megalink being of metal, and the Ultralinks of earth, fire, wind, and water), Toxzon, and one named Extroyer who used to be a bounty hunter named Troy Winters but accidentally fused with a damaged Ultralink (therefore gaining the ability to transform into animals after 'extroying' their DNA), he begins to unravel his and Steel's past, of which Steel has no memory of due to a damaged memory core.

Soon, Max finds out he is actually half alien, which upsets him that his mother kept such a secret from him. He also learns that Steel actually used to help a villain named Makino destroy and absorb entire planets and their people, his father's homeworld, Tachyon, having been one of them. Ultralinks and Megalinks were meant to help Makino 'absorb and expand' though Steel somehow ended up with some sort of faulty programming error of some sort that Makino can't figure out yet. He turned traitor to Makino on Tachyon when Max's father, Jim, helped him make the choice to break away but by then it was too late. It was Earth's turn to be absorbed by Makino's Alphalink.

Thankfully Max and Steel, with their father's help (who they learned was actually alive, simply blasted into space by the overload of the Turbo Star weapon they created in defense against Makino and was then caught by Makino and used as the Alphalink's new power source), managed to defeat Makino and his Alphalink. N-Tek were all pleasantly surprised to see Jim return and now there's peace... minus the fact that Extroyer, Dredd, and Toxzon are still out there of course.
Personality
Max's personality is typical that of a teenage boy. He prefers fun and games over being serious most of the time. He loves to joke and he loves skateboarding and music. He seems to be quite the optimist as well, always making jokes about something or another. Likely his way of dealing with stress. He enjoys beating up bad guys and, of course, gets annoyed by people telling him what to do. He's sometimes forgetful about some things and when paired with Steel out in the open, can get a bit silly. The two are much like brothers, either arguing or having the time of their lives. They tend to often go against the orders if they feel the situation calls for it (like them finding out what N-Tek was hiding from them).
Steel matches much of Max's personality. They tend to argue sometimes about certain things like the Super mode that Steel programmed into their modes. Steel is very much in love with the whole comic book superhero deal. Oftentimes the two can start arguing in the middle of a fight. Their teamwork isn't perfect but it gets the job done usually. They're still learning, together, how to fight and such.

hair: mikasa has short black hair that is chin length long, though she doesn't mind to let it grow out. it cups the side of her face nicely and is kept rather neat. there is one strand that always drops down into her face, but she tends to ignore it and leave it be.
eyes: mikasa has calm black eyes that show her asian heritage more than any of her other features do.
skin hue: mikasa has pale white skin which came from her father's side of the family and is the one thing that takes away from her heritage.
body type: mikasa has a well toned body and barely has any body fat, if any at all. the girl is built for battle and even though she appears as average, she is quite muscular. her body is beyond the standards of the other soldiers she works with and if she needed to she could carry her comrades to safety.

weapons: her weapon of choice would be the blades she was trained to kill titans with, though she also is quite handy with a knife and wouldn't feel completely useless with one. give this girl anything sharp and easy to wield and she won't disappoint.
skills: this girl is certainly no stranger to killing others or fighting for her own life. once she graduated from her training one of the commanders even stated that she was worth 100 soldiers. mikasa is highly skilled in combat and isn't afraid to jump into action to protect the ones she loves. even though she is strong with her blades or any other sharp objects, she also is capable of hand-to-hand combat. she is rather agile and strong, but does lack a sense of teamwork. she possesses no powers and simply relies on her fighting ability to keep herself alive. another weak point in her skills is the lack of range. even though she is very strong up close, she lack anything that helps her in long range fighting and must get up close to be effective.

personality and background

personality: mikasa is a very withdrawn girl after the death of her parents, though she deeply cares for her close friends. she doesn't like to get close with others, afraid that she might lose them like she did her parents. despite all of this, she is a very strong willed person with a strong sense of what is right and what is wrong. her loyalty to her friends and comrades is something that can't be matched once her trust is gained, she will protect that person with her life no matter what. sometimes she can be overprotective, especially of her two best friends, armin and eren, and that leads her to making a rash decision, but she always manages to keep a cool head and find her way out. the girl rarely ever loses her composure, though when she does it is when her friends are in great danger or if she loses her will to fight. her friends have always been the reason why she kept fighting and if something ever happened to them, the girl would completely shut down and in a way, forget how to fight. in times such as that, the girl will weep which is the most emotion she will ever show. she very rarely had much emotion over anything and rather seem neutral on it all.
history: mikasa was born to a caucasian father and asian mother. before her parents' death, she lived peacefully with them in the farmlands of wall maria. mikasa underwent a painful scarring ritual from her mother, whom cut into her skin the mark of their asian clan, and was taught an asian style embroidery. being the last of their race made them high value targets to human traffickers, who killed mikasa's parents and attempted to kidnap her for the purpose of selling her as a slave to the people in the Capitol, when she was only nine years old. she was rescued by eren, who tricked and killed two of the slavers. he was then overwhelmed by the third trafficker and was on the verge of being strangled. desperately, eren urged mikasa to fight to win. although she was initially frightened, she came to realize that, "this world is a callous and merciless place," dispatching the kidnapper who was trying to kill eren. when eren's father arrived with members of the military police brigade, she was given the scarf by eren and accepted into his family. this event awakened the fighting instincts and perfect self-control that would later turn her into a formidable soldier. she lived with eren's family in wall maria's shiganshina district until it was destroyed by the colossal titan.

once the wall was breached, she escaped to wall rose along with eren and armin. when the all came of age, they joined the trainee corps together to become soldiers and get revenge on the titans that had taken their home. she didn't want to join, but only followed since eren wished to and she vowed to protect him. once their training finished, she graduated top of the class and was highly praised by everyone she had come into contact with. only a day later, wall rose was attacked by the colossal titan after disappearing for 5 years. during the battle, she thought eren had died after being eaten by a titan and completely lost control of herself. she was willing to die then and there, until she was saved by a titan that was attacking the other titans. eventually this ended up being eren and she stood by him and protected him from being killed by the government. the two of them then joined the survey corps.

Anyways, I might as well introduce myself to everyone. So, hello everyone. I'm Ploegy, but feel free to call me Plo or anything else you desire. In this roleplay I will be portraying Mikasa from Attack on Titan and I'm very excited for it. Just so you know, I am in the Eastern Time Zone of the US/Canada, but I am on a lot in the middle of the night due to having a few sleep problems lately.

I really have no plans of opening up Mikasa for a relationship at this time since she would be rather focused on surviving rather than romance, but if Eren were around that'd be a different story then. If you convince me otherwise, I'd be open to it. I am open to her becoming really good friends with the others if any of you so desire to have your character become close to her at all. She might need some friends who have more of an idea what the current time is like since she wouldn't have any clue

On the thought of how the city would look like, I kind of envisioned it like this or even this.
