Oh yes, every once in a while I'll kind of browse some of the other rp threads here and I always end up feeling so lucky and grateful that I found DWS. While the slow pace can get a little frustrating from time to time, I'm glad for it when I think about alternatives of going too quickly. I wouldn't sacrifice all these deep, articulated characters for anything.

I'm back from New York! I can't remember, do I owe any replies? I'll try to post something one way or another soon. Also, Goldie I'll be thrilled to read anything you post! I've been itching to write, too.

My teacher keeps reading my essays aloud to my english class and it makes me miss writing here quite a bit. Everything I write in essays feels sticky and too weighted cause it's my only real writing outlet, so a lot gets crammed into them. But on the plus side its interesting to see how the class reacts; my first essay was talking about my life drawing class, and how I draw naked people from live models every Monday, it's always amusing to see how people process that information.

Anyway, back to RP-related things.. Some headway was made for the mountain trio finding Kirsten, but I think I'm going to leave her within her last post rather than making another until they're more directly interacting or until a bit more inspiration for her strikes me. Also, if anyone feels like bothering Devin in the shores, I wouldn't be opposed to exercising her character a bit. I've been missing her a bit more than most for some reason.

I am so sorry guys, I have just been busy and museless and I feel so bad not posting, but that makes me feel less like posting because I feel bad, you know? Dumb excuse, but it's just the reality for me right now. I haven't been able to write, and anything I come up with just feels so forced and I don't feel comfortable with it.

And on the other side I've been trying to read old rp's to regain muse, but it just makes me want to bring back old characters and I know I just don't have the mental capacity to work with my current cast while adding in Ezhno or Ginkgo as well, though I would absolutely love to see how Amara would react to Ezhno... I have to get to class for now, sorry for this being all over the place

Oh Mirage, please don't feel bad at all! I've been very busy and museless for the last week or two as well. All I've managed is that little Amara post. I want to write more for Jesse, but all my creative energy seems to have fallen right out the door for me the last week. There's totally no pressure for a post, muses come and go.

I've also been floating ideas around for new characters, whether they're truly "new" or just dusty half-forms from months ago. But I think we have similar problems. I doubt my ability to handle many characters, even if I only have the three/four right now.

But I am curious, who's this Ezhno character you want to see Amara with? If you can't bring him in, perhaps I could at least speculate how a meeting between them would go.
I have also been rereading, I just finished Amara and Amos' early morning chat and I'm realizing just how difficult I've made it for myself to not ship those two. At the same time, I'm insanely curious about how Amara and Gemini might mesh, and of course how she would react to Castor.

I'm getting way off topic here, so I'll put on the brakes. Anyway, don't worry or stress about replies too much, Mirage. It's totally understandable

Ezhno is a pup I added in to a couple roleplays we've been in together, he was an orphan and was adopted by Tanga and Lilith (and in essence, the whole pack). I just love the innocence and playfulness that pups bring into an rp, and I feel like Amara might identify with him in some way. I want to know how the two would get on, and I do kinda miss Lilith's soft side coming out around more than just Tanga. But if I bring him in, I'd miss his interactions with Aami (a pup Nellas played), those two were just adorable fluffballs together <3

Hmm you know I have actually given a thought or two, just in passing, as to how Amara would deal with pups. I think it would depend on age - if a pup were sophisticated enough, she'd want to treat it with the same respect as a grown wolf. But if a pup were still quite young (the key feature being verbal/oral sophistication) then I'm quite curious as to how she'd feel about it.

She can feel protective (e.g. towards Tanga, Maia, etc. that's another subject that would require lengthy explanation) but I find it difficult to picture her feeling maternal. That's probably because Amara herself is still so young and inexperienced, she still has some "almost adolescent naivete" as Amos observed once. Then again, maybe she'd just need some time.

All in all, I think a relatively newborn pup would draw an entirely different response from Amara than one who is old enough to speak and think at any level near her own.

I'm going to have to give this more thought...I'm quite curious now.

If I were to bring Ezhno in, I'd probably have him pretty young still, maybe just under a month old, so he'd be somewhat curious about the outside world but still very babyish. Kind of a toddler stage? I had him older in the other rp's because I introduced him at the beginning, but to bring him into DWS it would have to start with them finding him, which his history typically depicts happening at a very young age. I dunno, torn between staying accurate with his original history or having them find him older, but being more able to interact with others. Hypothetically speaking of course....

So my lack of muse for writing obviously hasn't affected my drawing Did a sketch of Opal and Ruby, because I miss my twinsies

!!! Ruby and Opal are AMAZING Mirage I absolutely love it. Their expressions, and the fur differences, and the symmetry, ugh. Also Ezhno looks like a cutie lil patootie, I love his eyes.

The more I think about it, the more I'm unsure of how Amara would react to a pup. She would interact with him a good bit, probably, because of her rank's duties. But I'm wondering if she'd empathize with him because they're both orphans or if she'd just be more embittered or feel held back trying to care for him. She's teetering between wanting to make connections where she is or take flight for the Western Forest, so it's hard to say.

Gosh, looking at that sketch just makes me so sad for Ruby. I think you brought up a while ago something about Ruby and Amara potentially forming an attachment should they one day meet, and I also find that relationship intriguing. Let's be honest, I find every interaction with Amara intriguing. She's my number one baby *cradles small puppeh*

Ah yes and speaking of sketches, I have one still unfinished for the thread's anniversary. It's not that good and I've been so busy lately I don't think I'll be able to fix it up much, but hey, I tried ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have an 8 AM exam tomorrow, I should be getting to bed...
