Hope everyone's been having a good summer? Can't believe we're almost at the end of July now, it's gone by so fast! What have you guys been up to?

First of all; is N'Obi real? look at that face!! And the bandana?! You've outdone yourself Mirage, truly

I've just now started filling out some characters forms, and its such unexpected work ahahah, I have such clear ideas of them all in my head but its so hard to put it down in words. Hopefully it'll get easier the more I do.

In the meantime though, since I liked Mirage's prompt for 'describe your characters in 5 words or less', as well as her one for Roan, I think I'll try my hand at that. Keep in mind though that I did these with their human personas in mind, which are all a little warped from how we already know them

Sam: A total mother hen

Fen: Needs 12 hugs a day
Devin: She hides her sadness well

Summer has been eventful and hot for me, Arizona summers are always hotter than I remember. I'm also moving at the end of this month, and so excited about it that I'm even starting to dream about it. We also just got a new dog, so she's been somewhat of a hassle trying to get used to, I'm really just counting down the days till I can get a little kitten.
How has everyone else been though? Coping with characters forms better than me I hope

That bandanna has killed my desire to ever draw patterns again lol, glad he meets with your high standards goldie, you know he'll be trying out that charm on one or two of your folks

I know what you mean, trying to get the image in your head to come out in words, it's been a struggle at times. There's no need for big fancy forms though, so don't worry about getting every detail down

Oh man, sugar daddy Bastian has me all kinds of curious! And I don't know if Phaed will be able to keep up with Fen's hug needs Definitely a few folks in there that are challenging my perceptions, can't wait to see them in action ^^

And here I thought my Canadian summer was hot, didn't realize you were dealing with Arizona temperatures :s Hope you're keeping cool through it all. Oh man, and with a new puppy! Must be a pain getting her out for walks in that heat >< Hope the move goes well for you

My summer's been alright; I've had a lot of free time to stress over school, but I'm planning on taking the test for my driver's license (finally) sometime this month or next. So practicing for that should keep me busy. And forms.. oh man, I got most of the physical aspects finished for everyone, it's just likes/dislikes/personality etc. that are being difficult for me. I might go with my short personalities if I still can't get them done when you guys are ready, but for now I've got enough characters to jump from one to the other when I'm feeling inspired (or work on their art when I don't have the urge to write - Tanga is next by the way). It's actually been a lot of fun working on humans these days, it hasn't been too much of a struggle like it used to be

Things are going pretty good- very busy on my end! It's been hard to find some time to relax! Lots of good things though- last night I saw the touring production of Wicked in Boston!! It was incredible.

I have the physical stuff of my forms mostly done too, it's the personalities and likes/dislikes that are stumping me a little too. Especially the personalities- each character is so developed and complex in my head, it's hard to pick and choose what statements and in what order to put down on the form to capture the right feel. The personalities might not end up being as wrote out as I'd like but we'll see!

Oh man, that sounds awesome! Has it just been Wicked you're getting into, or are there other musicals you've been seeing? I haven't seen it, but I'm a bit obsessed with a few of the tracks from Heathers (I don't think it's my kind of show, I can gather enough from the lyrics, but man the tunes are good)

I think we're all good with short personalities in the forms, we'll get a better feel for them when they're being played out anyway ^^ I think separating interests and likes has been tougher for me, they seem to overlap a lot and I kinda feel the separate categories aren't super necessary?

Oh my goodness, I love musicals so so so much. My absolute favorite is Next to Normal, but I also love basically every musical I've seen. Today I was listening to a mix of Wicked, Waitress, Next to Normal, Chicago, Dear Evan Hansen, and Falsettos haha!
I love (most of, lol) the Heathers soundtrack too- I was actually in a production of it a month or two back! I played Veronica's mom and went all out with the scream, hahaha
I'm sorry if I'm rambling a bit, musicals are like birds in that as soon as they are mentioned I am compelled to type an entire essay's worth

I do feel like interests and likes have pretty much 100% overlap with characters so far, maybe only one of them is necessary?

I didn't realize you were taking part in productions too Ahh man that scene, I'm really no good with suicidal imagery so I tend to just stick with the songs, but I made the mistake of watching some animatics too... but the songs are so good ><
I haven't seen very many musicals, it's expensive to get tickets around here, but I'd really like to see Avenue Q and Book of Mormon sometime (it was showing here a few months ago, but I was broke )

Yeah, I think if you guys want to just combine likes and interests that's fine by me - I'll probably do the same for the rest of my forms I was able to finish 4 of them last night, and I'm almost finished another two (just the personalities that aren't filled in) I'm making good progress ^^

Yeah, I've been doing theatre since 6th grade I think? I started with just doing my school shows but in the past few years I've done a couple community theatre productions as well!
The first time we did that scene on stage, I was so deeply into the mindset of "I just thought my daughter died" that after I screamed my mind was just blank and panicky and Veronica had to prompt me because my next line just flew out of my head
Professional tickets are expensive around here too unfortunately I'm incredibly lucky that someone I knew wanted to treat me and a couple friends to it- I still can't wrap my mind around how much the tickets must have cost
There's a lot of student, community, semi-professional theatre in my area though so there are shows with a range of prices that are often more suited to my lacking wallet, haha

Also- congrats on your puppy Goldie!! Though I feel you about getting a kitten- some day when I have my own place I’m gonna adopt a cat (or seven) and that thought gets me through the day sometimes

Sounds like you really got into your role, I don't think I'd be able to say anything in that situation either Sometimes I have friends who win tickets and just post to facebook asking if anyone wants to go with, but it's generally someone I haven't spoken to in years... too awkward to ask to go. That's a lucky break that you can see other productions that are a bit less costly, sounds like a nice and cultured area to be living in

Nellas, sometimes your characters just come right out of left field and hit me right in the feels, I just want to hold Anna so much <3
