TideClan

Postby storm coming. » Thu Jul 02, 2015 7:55 pm

You are walking on a beach, feeling the smooth sand underneath your paws. Noticing there's no twolegs here, you get suspicious. Suddenly a cat comes racing towards you and hisses. "Why are you on TideClan territory?" she asks you with her eyes narrowed to slits. You back up. "I didn't know I was on your territory. What is TideClan anyway?" you asked, confused. The she cat sighs softly. "Come back to camp with me and I'll explain. By the way, my name's Ashstar."

────────────────────────

Welcome to TideClan. The strong and noble. TideClan was formed many moons ago by a loner named Tide. We have been living here for countless moons, but we might just perish. A tide is coming...

Prophecy:
When the ash falls from the sky
It's time to say good-bye
When the tide comes, you don't want to stay
You might get washed away

Meaning/Plot:
A volcano is erupting. All the twolegs have vanished. Some cats will die. We don't want a lot so only a few. The territory will be destroyed and TideClan will have to make the great journey to the new territory. Once they reach the new territory we will make a V.2.

ONLY ACCEPTING MALES

ove is hard to find, in fact it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Many of us never find our other half,
our soulmate, the ones who do are considered to be very lucky that fate was on their side. Finding a
soulmate has become so difficult and rare that we have given up on it all together, instead we have
a different system of finding mates here. It doesn't always make us happy, in fact some of us are just
made miserable by the one we are paired with, but it keeps the pack surviving and what more could
we really ask for? Some of us do find love this way though and those of us that do are happy for the
system that we have in place. There will always be those who want the system removed so they can
have a chance at finding love, but the tradition remains strong through this day as it has done for the
past century that it has existed.

hat we do to get a mate is have one assigned to us. The process is pretty simple, every month those
of us who don't have a mate yet go up to the top of the mountain where there is a cave and we head
to the back of the cave moving down a narrow tunnel until we get to the room of crystals. The cave
is lit up with the soft glow from the crystals and each male goes and positions himself next to one of
the crystals. The females then make their way around to each crystal and if it glows brighter the two
are paired together. If there are any that the crystal does not light up for they have to wait another
month and try again to find a pairing. This tradition was developed when an alpha made a trip up the
mountain to investigate claims that his pack members had made about seeing a mysterious glow from
inside the cave. He went in and followed the glow to the back cave which had previously remained
unexplored and there he noticed a lone female curled up besides one of the crystals. He walked over
to her to investigate and as he got closer to her the crystal started to glow brighter.

Ƭhe glow catching the female's attention she looked up and when they locked eyes it was love at
first sight. He brought her back to the pack and announced that he had found his mate in the cave and
told the skeptical pack about what had happened. A new superstition had risen that the crystals could
tell a wolf who their mate was, nobody knew how it worked, but the next day a few of the members
went up to the cave to see if what the alpha said was true. When the got to the cave the crystals were
not glowing as the alpha said. They went back to report this to him, but he told them it must be some
sort of mistake. They insisted that he go and look for himself and in an attempt to prove them wrong
he went up and looked for himself. When he got there he saw that they were right, the crystals were
no longer glowing, he thought that couldn't be right. Everyday he checked again and again, and every
time he checked it was the same result, until the first day of the next month. He went back and when
he got there the crystals had the same dim glow that they had when he first investigated the cave. He
was excited to tell his pack and rushed back to them with the news.

eluctantly the pack followed him thinking him crazy until they got there and saw that he was
right. A few of them wandered around the crystals and when a male and female got close to one it had
started to grow brighter. They looked at each other in shock with what just happened, but neither of
them felt a spark towards each other. The alpha insisted however that it was meant to be, that they of
course were mates because the crystal glowed. On that day he set a tradition that once a month the
unmated members of the pack would journey to the cave to find the wolf they were meant to be with.
Many of them did find a wolf they were paired with according to the crystals, but many of them never
found love. The alpha made it a law that they had to be with who the crystals deemed as their partners
it was forbidden to be with anybody else, and to this day the wolves still follow this tradition. It has
been so long that most are afraid to break it.

And drop me down to the dream below

'Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass
Hardly anything there for you to see
For you to see" -Linkin Park

Plot:
The Castle of Glass has for long been a myth to the many worlds and thus has been long forgotten. Long ago, stories had been passed down from generation to generation about this castle and how the beings of ancient times had discovered it through portals which brought together people from various different worlds and times. It has been 500 years since the portals were seen, which has lead people to stop believing in them. Everyone has carried on with their lives and have no time for such bizarre ideas. However the myths are about to be proven true once more. The portals have appeared, inviting people to the Castle of Glass once again. The castle itself stands alone among the mountains, making it a rather uneasy settling. The only shelter available is the castle itself, but there are many unknown secrets within its doors. Once a group enters, only a few make it out alive and the portals reopen for them to return home. The secrets of The Castle of Glass is waiting to be awakened. Will you be able to figure them out and survive or will you fall yet another victim to it?

Unclaimed ━ Feral Horse RP ━ New+Accepting

Postby Cooluser1615 » Fri Jul 03, 2015 6:21 am

▬▬▬ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ's NO sᴀғᴇᴛʏ ɪɴ NUMBERS▬▬▬▬▬
Image
▬▬▬▬ᴡʜᴇɴ EVERY ᴀʙᴀᴄᴜs ɪs AFLAME▬▬▬

This land was roamed by feral horses since horses, brought from across the faraway ocean, escaped from their European masters and roamed free. It was never an easy life for them. They faced countless skirmishes with the humans who settled in the land, an expanse of grassland bordered by mountains to the north and west, one river to the south and miles of forest to the east. Over time, the humans bridged the river and cut deep wounds into the ancient woodland. However, while the numbers of feral horses fluctuated from year to year, and even month to month, the feral horses were never completely eradicated from Sínbera. Never, that is, until one fateful summer in the year two thousand and ten.

The spring of that year had seen the birth of many foals, for the winter had been surprisingly mild and far fewer horses had perished in the cold than was usual. The residents of the land, mainly farmers, feared for their crops and animals. Not only did the feral horses use resources that, in the eyes of the humans, would be better spent on agricultural stock, they had occasionally trampled crops and spread disease like wildfire. Previous methods of controlling the population were not deemed to be enough. Several people proposed the use of an artificially created fire, designed to flush the feral horses out of hiding, once and for all. It was only seen as a tool to scare the vermin out of hiding, to herd them in and capture them with more efficiency than ever before. In desperation, the plan was approved of by virtually every resident. After all, in the eyes of the humans, it boiled down to the choice between a bunch of feral horses and the region's own livestock or crops. The plan was rapidly enacted, and seemed to be working, at first. But fire accepts no master, and a spark in the wrong direction was all that it took for things to escalate out of control. The main town of the region was evacuated, and almost every human managed to escape. The inhabitants of more remote dwellings, namely the dozens of farmhouses that dotted the land, were far less fortunate. Countless animals, wild and domesticated, perished in the fire. There was not a single survivor among the humans participating in the fiery roundup or the feral horses themselves.

After the fire, the land seemed as barren as the surface of the Moon. A wasteland, with nothing but a few ruins and scorched trees to show that life had ever existed there. Nonetheless, life springs up even in the most unlikely situations. The wind carried seeds of weeds and grasses, which brought many insects and other small creatures to the land. Flocks of birds soon followed, and a few saplings sprung up. Water was scarce, as it had always been, but the ruined land appeared to be healing its wounds. It was little surprise that, when a new generation of humans set eyes on the reborn grassland, they wanted to settle there.

However, the humans aren't the only ones who want to make their home in this land. Feral horses, of many breeds, sizes and colours, have discovered the land, and not a horse wishes to leave. Few of them know of the land's past, but they don't need any further incentives to stay away from humans. The humans are not the only danger; predators have stalked the feral horses, and the elements are as harsh as ever. Yet predators, weather and humans are dangerous for feral horses no matter where they roam. The feral horses which have found this land are determined to stay and survive. They are the unclaimed horses, but will they endure the struggles of this unclaimed land?

Cades Cove is located in The Smokey Mountains in Tennessee in North America and is now owned by the government but back when it was new that we not the same at all. Cades Cove was a place were families moved to escape the Civil War - the war between the north and south to end slavery -. May called the families that moved there deserters or traitors. Now we go back in time to the very beginning of Cades Cove, who lived there and how they made it what it came to be.
