everyone who's posted a form so far can go ahead and do a starting post on the main thread whenever you're ready c:

it's evening in the city, and people should just be generally out and about doing their thing. due to the sheer population of people, word's gotten out in certain circles about how things might be a little off in NYC, and hunters have decided to take to the city. since it's been mostly rumors and a few words passed around here and there, there's not very many, though they range in skill/experience from fumbling around and pretty misinformed (a la tin foil hats) to "professionals" who may be jumping the gun a bit.

{Well, every story needs a villain, or a 'hero' that turns out to be the bad guy... Hmm... If you would like, I have a couple of characters which seem appropriate to fit the roles. However, one of them is human, but I can think of something devastating to add a little tic.}

Beep. Beep. Beep.
I groaned, a long, drawn-out, whiny sound, trying to use my pillow to block out the sound. "Ugh," I hear a high-pitched female voice utter. My eyes flew open to see a petite blonde with loads of smeared makeup on her eyes sitting up on my bed, a scowl drawn across her features. Umm...Caitlyn, maybe? Brittany? Yeah, try Brittany. Wait, no, play it safe. Don't wanna have an angry she-devil to deal with.
"Uh, good morning, beautiful," I mumbled, scanning the room for a shirt, my head pounding. How late did I stay out? I hope Grant and Jacob aren't mad at me...
The blonde stood up and started collecting her clothes. "You suck," she scowled. When she saw my skeptical look, she elaborated, "You buy me a couple drinks, you call me beautiful, then you don't even remember my name."
"Of course, I remember your name...Brittany?"
"Caitlyn."
"Oh," I said as the door slammed behind her. I chuckled. So close, I cursed myself. Dragging myself out of my soft, tempting bed, I remembered that I did have a job at the cafe I had to get to. But right now, coffee was the only thing on my mind.

Nausicaa's age is twenty four physically, but actually around or over two hundred years old.

Owner of a modest antique shop.

Nausicaa was born in Russia in the late 18th century or early 19th century. She was born to a peasant father, and supposedly a mother of royal Greek origins. Her mother disappeared mysteriously shortly after her birth. Nausicaa had a fairly normal childhood, which came crashing down once her father died due to an illness. Nausicaa decided to go to Greece in a desperate hope to find her mother, or at least claim a birthright. She was captured by thieves and sold as a slave, and eventually went to England with her master. Nausicaa eventually escaped and found work as a paid servant under the Cartwrights. The Cartwrights died in a fire, and Nausicaa was the only survivor, along with a few other servants, and Natasha and Lin, two family members of the deceased. Nausicaa adopted the girls as her own and immigrated to New York with them, where she met and befriended Seth Jescarbi. Seth helped her raise Natasha and Lin along with some of his "trusted friends", until Seth killed the girls. He was a hunter, and he revealed the twins had supernatural blood, blood which he was sworn to stamp out. Seth then tried to kill Nausicaa. He didn't get that far. Nausicaa, in her rage and despair, made him literally disappear into the shadows, before her eyes. Scared of what had happened, and how it happened, she traveled around the city, talking to others in the darkest and dirtiest of places, trying to find out what she was. Nausicaa took Lin and Natasha's names and made it her middle name, to remember them.
Even though Nausicaa searched for years, she never got a direct, honest answer. And then her mother claimed her. Her mother came to her one night in the street, telling her that she had answers to Nausicaa's questions. Nausicaa, desperate, decided to listen to her. The truth was then revealed. Nausicaa was the daughter of a human and a demon.

Personality:
Nausicaa is sarcastic, and uses it as an automatic defense. She was known in the Supernatural Community for trying to find her origins, and did remain contact with the people who had helped her after she found the answer she was looking for. However, they eventually died and Nausicaa sealed herself off from making friends or connections, knowing that she, as part demon, would outlive them her further extended lifespan. It was also, because, though she wouldn't admit it, she was afraid of loving people to see them die (Natasha or Lin) or to see them betray her (Seth). Though quiet, she prides herself on witty remarks and loves to read. She hates the hunters with a burning passion for directly for taking the people she loved away, whether through service or death.
Powers:
Nausicaa doesn't know all that she is capable of, as she never wanted to hurt anyone. She does know that her life is extended, though for how long, she cannot stay. She looks like she is in her early twenties, and does not know if she will ever look older. From her experiments, she had deduced that she has the capabilities of a sorcerer, but can only use the "darker" side of the art.

Who I Am

My Traits: Alex has always been a quiet girl, shy at heart and never much of a talker. She is quite submissive when it comes to being in a group, she follows the lead and tries to blend into crowds. However; with her tiny nature and her pasty skin and white hair its hard not drawing attention when she walks down the road. Alex is quite loyal, when she finds that one person she wants to be around she will stick to them for as long as they will have her. She can and will be assertive when it is needed, speaking her mind if and when it's needed. Though most of the times she sits back without word. Alex has tried her best to fit in, she has her own small one bedroom apartment in a not so good part of town. She works the meat locker down at the local deli only two blocks away, she has gone fairly well at blending in with her surrounding and tries everyday to make a new friend.


History: Alex grew up with only her mother, her father had died in an accident involving fire. Considering he was a snow fairy he could not withstand the heat and died. Her and her mother lived in the United Kingdom for many years, however; Alex had different plans. She wanted to get to know the world, and make new friends. Unlike her mother who was paranoid and afraid to leave the house Alex was adventurous which is quite ironic to her shy nature. As a kid Alex had a happy childhood, but her mothers paranoid nature never let Alex bloom into the social butterfly she was meant to be. Her mother always shunned her away from large crowds and groups of people. Warning her not to get too close to anyone in fear they may be a hunter, fairies were known for their 'magic' dust. Like the fabled "Tinkerbell", Alex thought this was stupid she had never seen and such thing as fairy dust. After years of prying her mother away she moved to New York, where she had been living for about five years. She attended a college in New York for two years but never did anything with her English major. She has been living month to month with her small house and pet cat Tiger. Her life is looking up from the time she had in the United Kingdom.

Tid-Bits About The Snow Fairy: Alex has no last name (Like Most Fairies), however she goes by the last name "Snow" often. Her eyes are grey, though sometimes they can look white when shes unsatisfied or angry. She can be quite the character when you get to know her, yet she will shy away from anyone who seems scary. She can be very skiddish, this comes naturally from being alone for many years. She does not let many people touch her, because she is always cold well her skin is but she never gets cold.

While Idrian can manipulate small aspects of their appearance as part of their powers, they usually have a default "look". Tall and skinny, they tend to have short, wild colored hair, and are usually androgynous in appearance. When out in public, they cast a glamour over their wings, but in supernatural places they rarely bother.

Like most Fae, Idrian is energetic and playful most of the time. After living for a long time, Idrian has developed the habit of throwing them selves fully into every thing they do. After all, when you might live forever, whats to stop you from taking risks? One side affect of that s that they have little follow through, dropping what ever they were last doing in favor of something new. As a result, the only constant they manage to keep is a small coffee shop that they've owned for close to seventy years now. All of the staff is magical, so no one wonders why their boss looks like the picture of the founder on the wall. Idrian also can have a mean streak as well. Those who go against them often find their lives ruined for however long it takes Idrian to grow bored of them.

Since Idrian isn't a specific type of Fae, they end up as a sort of Jack-of-all-trades. They can do almost anything, but really more than the basics. The one art they have mastered is "charm" magic- weaving their own inborn magic into items that can then actively or passively work for the items owner. They can heal small wounds, fly for short amounts of time, and glamour small things otherwise.

that'd be okay, but please keep in mind that this roleplay is leaning more toward slice-of-life (obviously with some supernatural issues, however), so I'd prefer to keep things on the lighter side. though things might get a little darker as we go, there's no real, huge villainous force to be felt as it is right now. (we may eventually progress that way, though!)
