KITHOOD
Phoenix has no memory of what happened the night he and his brother were brought to the Clan. The only things he knows for sure is that it was snowing, and snowing hard. He vaguely remembers Dovestar carrying him to camp, but nothing past that. Phoenixkit's first real memory is of the nursery. He was past drinking milk at this stage, but every cat was worried he wouldn't make it through due to the chill he had developed. He was watched constantly by the medicine cats and warriors, and Dovestar would help out whenever he could. Slowly but surely, Phoenixkit began to grow stronger and stronger, showing he would get better and that he was fighting death. His closest call was when he developed greencough at five moons.
The medicine cat took him into constant medication of catmint, they really weren't sure if he would be strong enough to make it. Phoenixkit surprised them all by pulling through. He was timid as a kit and didn't escape once, being called an 'angel' by the queens for his efforts. Dovestar named him 'Phoenixkit' due to the fact that he always beat the sickness, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes.
APPRENTICESHIP

His apprenticeship was short lived. He became an apprentice at the late age of 7 moons, one moon after his brother due to sickness. Phoenixpaw was mentored by Bluespark, and was the warriors first apprentice. In his apprenticeship, Phoenixpaw became a brilliant fighter and tends to favour that skill over his hunting skill, being average at hunting. Phoenixpaw didn't mind helping out and doing apprentice duties, balancing that with spending time with his brother, Pumapaw. The two brothers were very close, then the misunderstanding happened. Pumapaw began to make friends with a she cat named Rainpaw, who Phoenixpaw was (secretly) in love with. Thinking his brother was betraying him, Phoenixpaw yelled at him, before leaving the Clan in the dead of night. He was pronounced dead a moon later and the Clan sat vigil for him.
ROGUE LIFE
Phoenixpaw headed in the mountain direction, thinking it the best way to go. He began to scale the stony surface, trying not to stumble as he could fall and die. He slept there for many nights on his travels, hunting mountain hares and even birds of prey. On his way down, he found another cat living on the mountain, Squirrel. He told her about his brother and Rainpaw, and Squirrel sympathised with him, before they shared a rabbit together. Phoenixpaw said his goodbyes and continued back down, deciding to stay in the general BirdClan area. On his way back, he spotted Blazestrike, a warrior he looked up to, crossing the border between BirdClan and PineClan. The apprentice followed, and learned of Blazestrike's treachery. Unfortunately Shadowpaw, an apprentice in PineClan, smelt Phoenixpaw. Phoenixpaw was brought to Thornstar, where he agreed to stay in PineClan for a while to help out as long as they didn't tell BirdClan of his existence. A little while later, Phoenixpaw was in BirdClan when he heard Rainpaw's cry of distress. Without thinking, he jumped down and Pumapaw saw him. The two brothers had a final chat and made up, but Phoenixpaw refused the offer to come back to the Clan and continues to lead life as a rogue. Maybe someday he will come back.
