personality wrote:ingrid is very stubborn- bullheaded, as some would say. she likes to be in charge, or at least be consulted on important decisions. she has very strong morals and sticks to them closely, defending them to her last breath. she does not tolerate bigots, and won't hesitate to call people out on rude and hurtful things they say. she is also loyal to a fault, and will never leave the side of those she cares about. that being said, she also has a wonderful sense of humour, and loves to laugh and make jokes, on top of being a little bit of a flirt. she's also known for being a little arrogant, and an overachiever. despite this, she's pretty well-liked, and quite outgoing, willing to talk to anyone about anything. she's quite intelligent and down-to-earth, aiming for practicality and despite her determined nature, hesitant to overestimate herself. she fears failure, but that doesn't stop her from trying her hardest at everything she does. ingrid is also an impeccable actress, and it's not too difficult for her to pretend she's stronger, braver, smarter, or in any other way better than she truly is. of course, when it comes down to it, once you get past her wit and determination, she's very sweet and kind. she has a lot of love to share, and while she's not naive, she tries to see the good in people, no matter what they've done wrong, which might just be her fatal flaw.
abilities wrote:ingrid, being a demigod, holds a lot more power than her appearances suggest. the hammer mjolnir, the weapon known to be carried by her birth father, has deemed her worthy enough to wield it, and through it she can channel storms [rain, wind, thunder and lightning], along with simulating flight and deflecting attacks. of course, none of this comes spectacularly easy to her yet, as she's not trained with the hammer. another aspect of mjolnir's, which is much easier to comprehend, is the ability to sense magical [esp. asgardian] enchantments. mjolnir has also been used as a power source, and can break enchantments. it also has the potential to open up interdimensional portals, but that's far out of ingrid's abilities. due to her asgardian heritage she also possesses many of thor's physical abilities, although not to the same extent. she has increased endurance, metabolism, strength, and the ability to fall into "warrior's madness," which is also referred to as a beserker rage, multiplying her strength in battle [though, it is very difficult to coax out of her]. her skin and bones also happen to be slightly more reinforced than a standard human's, so it takes more to inflict wounds than it would on most others, and diseases and sicknesses rarely get to her. the one trait that she did not acquire from her father would be the longer life span and slower ageing, which is, unfortunately for her, not much different than a standard human.
