Victoria Holmes was born and raised in Westminster, London, England. She lived a pleasant, happy, plentiful life with her mother, father, grandfather, butler, and older sister, Hallie. Victoria's mother, Elizabeth James (Holmes) is a charming, beautiful English-born and raised woman with a degree in marketing and a rather large name in the fashion world. She owns a rather upscale wedding dress shop in the city of London. Her father, is an American zoologist that works for the Zoological Society of London and makes a living as a biochemist and geneticist. Victoria and her sister grew up in a happy, loving home with successful parents and a quiet, peaceful life. Hallie was sporty, popular, and stubborn. She was a quick thinker like her sister, but possessed none of the alacrity towards scientific discovery and investigation that Victoria expressed early on in life. Hallie was humorous, positive, and made friends very easily. Victoria was quiet, analytical, timid in social situations and more pessimistic than her older sibling. Despite their differences, however, Victoria looked up to her sister and Hallie was very protective. They are four years apart, but look very much alike; it would be easy to walk up to Victoria and start talking to her, thinking she was Hallie. It used to happen all the time- until December of 2003. Sixteen-year-old Hallie went out with some friends and never came back- she disappeared without a trace. When her friends were questioned, they all told the police that they had never even gone out with Hallie that night- and they all had solid alibis to prove it. Hal's car was found a few weeks later by a river in Hull, some 200 miles from London. The family was never the same, and neither was Victoria. | Victoria graduated from her academy with honors and an impressive number of college credits from her AP courses. She continued her education at Oxford University and was triple enrolled, completing two doctorates and a master's degree in five years. She has a doctorate in biomedical sciences and genetics, and a master's degree in animal psychology.

She told her family that she was going backpacking through Europe with some friends from school, and made herself disappear. The only record of her existence during that year were two hefty donations to two non-profit organizations. She didn't come back onto the radar fully until late 2014, working in the lab for MI5 (Military Intelligence Section 5). It's said that she's done work for the Regional Special Branch and even the CIA, but if you ask her she'll deny it. Both her work with MI5 and her work in biomedicine drew the FBI's attention to her, and they believed that she would be a good addition to the BAU.

Victoria's love life is not notoriously eventful, and she's only ever publicly mention one boyfriend, brief as it was, that she had back in high school. If asked about him, it's like she'll tell you that he was an arrogant ass and then change the subject. She's never made any statements about her sexual orientation aloud, and really isn't all that interested in love at this point of her life. However, when looking for a partner, she seeks out certain traits. Firstly, she prefers individuals that are intellectually stimulating or inspiring to her- this applies to nonromantic relationships as well as romantic ones. Having lost a fair amount of stability at a young age, she craves security and warmth, and wants someone who makes her feel safe. When in a relationship, she strives for excellent communication, empathy, imagination and creativity. She's naturally cold and reserved, and has a perfectionist attitude with minor sociopathic traits, such as the struggle she has with compassion and empathy.
