We are the wild ones.
Were you a show horse destined for greatness when someone simply left the gate open? Or were you born wild and will you forever be free? Whatever your history, you are now a wild horse, living in the plains of what is left of wild America. The fresh air fills your lungs and there is room to stretch your legs, will you find a herd and survive or are you destined to fall prey to the many predators or hard conditions? However you choose your path you are wild and you will be for the rest of your life...or will you?

It was once said that light could only be found within the soul, and that the outward, visible light was only a reflection of the inner being.
Darkness is the same. Only pouring into existence from the depths of man's heart.
Of course, I don't know if these sayings are true. All I have know, all any of us have known, is Black. The sort of Black that wraps around the eyes in deep folds and worms its way into the mind, changing any human sanity to the drear misery of pain and hopelessness, causing the soul to weep and bend and disfigure in ways once thought only nightmares.
Our people, the Seekers, have fought this oppressiveness for centuries, seeking any form of Light and Hope as we are trapped in the Abdula Caves. The Sun is a mystery, just as much as Moon and Star light. None of our people have actually seen these Orbs of Hope, but we have the tales, the legends, the prophesies.
We live in the earth, the realm our ancestors fled to during a dreadful war that wiped out more than half their tribes. They found the Caves of Abdula, taking refuge in the many tunnels, caverns, and hollows, waiting for the battles to subside and determine the victor. Only, the enemy found the sanctuary on the cliffs overhanging the great sea. They forced our people into the unexplored regions and blocked all entrances with the horrific feat of a land slide.
Though our people tried every means of escape, we found none. Many went insane with months of darkness and no outside air. The tribes reassembled and formed three Alliances, though not everyone was in agreement with the arrangements of leadership and survival. Among the dissenters was the Kay Da, a ruthless man bent on going his own way, seeking the Dark Lights, and converting others to his form of thinking. Some said he had gone mad from spending a time in a toxic cavern, but whether mad or not, he was a schemer and traitor, murdering his own family tribe in sleep.
There have been many Kay Da over the centuries, practicing the Dark Light, and raiding the Seeker's villages and tribes, bringing the criminals and outcasts to his side, preparing for a great battle to overthrow the Main Alliance.
We are in fear. Not just from the eternal Black, but also the blackness found in our own hearts.
I am Kedric, elected teacher of the Sentinels, a group of Seekers trained to fight, learn the old ways, and seek the Light. War is soon to come.
Will you join us?* A Role Pay Loosely Based off the Book Children of the Night *

The location is a large city known as Zenoa, with a dense forest on one side surrounding one side of the outskirts, and a vast mountain range surrounding the other. Things appear normal in this city, and for the most part, it is. Actually, to the rest of the world, nothing is wrong with this city. No, no, in fact, having people who can change into animals walking about is something the world is used to, and has been for a while. That’s not to say everyone is okay with it yet. There are small groups formed out of hate and fear that meet to complain about these monsters. Not all places have laws to protect lycans, some even have laws forcing them out or making it difficult for them to live there. The smartest of the lycans have fled such states, moving to more friendly areas. Some have to hide what they are to keep their jobs or positions in society, others outright flaunt what they are, while more don’t bother either way. More than just blending with human society, these people have to find their place within their species. Joining the local clan is the best way to ensure survival, but just prefer to be alone.
I have one character in each of the 7 groups {wolf, fox, jaguar, leopard, lion, bear, swan} and a friend of mine has one character altogether. Many spots are open. We're really hoping to get some people to join us, we're quite friendly and I'll be happy to explain anything that seems confusing or daunting.

It's no secret that cats and dogs roam the streets, pets looking for excitement and strays making a living alike. What is a secret, to the humans at least, is that there are many small groups of these animals that interact with each other. There are groups of just dogs, cats, a mix of the two, and even groups that are exclusively strays.
This is a roleplay about the daily lives of these groups: their struggles for survival, the drama and romance that comes from inter-group socialization, even when a pet is stuck in their home with nothing on tv! Okay, that last one may not show up, but who knows...
Only two people in this aside from me. Once again, many spots open. Click the image to go to the roleplay.
