It all starts off with the peaceful little Rushclan, a group of cats living out in a marshy like environment. They lived there for generations upon generations, resembling almost a mix of Shadowclan and Riverclan if you want a point of reference. They use the mud to keep themselves cool and hidden from predators/prey, love to swim, and tend to keep to the shadows yadayada what not. None of that's really important [more just saying it to give you a background on the cats, and for future reference so if they ever come across a mud puddle, you could have your cats bounce right in and no one could judge you on it], considering it may not even be a set in the duration of our story. See, not a few weeks ago, Rushclan's territory was overrun by something or other: pesky twolegs, an influx of some type of predator, a natural disaster, that can be left up to suggestion but the basic is that they were pushed out of their home because of it. Not all is lost, with the cats hearing of some land a fair bit away from a few friendly loners/scouts that went ahead/whatever, point is that's their current destination, to get to this new territory that by the sound of it, almost resembles a promise land for cats. While tragic that they have to leave, the move wasn't exactly cataclysmic since the clan managed to plan and execute their move with quite a bit of success, no cat being left behind or killed during it. Well, not right away at least. The trip is long and harrowing at times, and they end up loosing their leader along the way- an older cat at the time of the move, who was on his last life. They mourn but know they must continue. So after a few days/weeks of traveling, they come across this small city. The problems here is that they can't go around, considering it'll take much too long, so they just decide to tough it out and go through it. The city is a few days journey across, so the clan soon decides to camp out in an abandoned twoleg nest for the night, the place clearly not being inhabited by anything else for quite a while. This is about when tragedy strikes. It comes in the middle of the night, when most the cats are asleep. What causes it could be left up to interpretation but the end result is simple: the twoleg nest is set ablaze. It's chaos to say the least. Living in the marsh for all their lives, these cats have never heard of such a danger as fire, let alone seen it first hand [or, um, paw]. The building is burning, things are falling, and the clancats are running in every direction trying to seek out not only a means of escape, but each other. Most make it out, some don't, but the problem is nearly none of them manage to stick together, running off into the night in their panic. This is basically what the roleplay itself would be about, our cats somehow managing to find each other during the fire [maybe like one gets trapped, and one/two/all three go to help or what have you]. I'm thinking I'll snag the leader, then I believe Folly wanted the med cat, Autumn wanted an apprentice, and then Rose [and Keriae as well] you can choose any rank you'd prefer as well. The bulk of the roleplay would be the idea that now they have to not only navigate their way out of the Twoleg's city, they also have to find their clanmates/get to this promised land the clan had dreamed of for so long, all while trying not to let their newfound fear of fire paralyze their every step.
