The wolves have discovered mystical gemstones, that give them abilities unlike any other wolf.
It is unusual to have a wolf that has the talent, or ability to use two or more types of gems, though, it is not impossible. Most wolves can only use one type of gem, period.
(There is only a certain number of gems to give out, I have listed them in order of how many gems there are for that color. I will list next to each color how many are left, below each color is what it does, then I will put under that who has one.)
~Orange~ 4
This color can shape shift items. Like, turning a leaf into a blade of grass, or a tree into a stone statue. However, this gem can not be used on other animals, unless the wolf using it is an elder.
~Yellow~ 3
Yellow controls light, it is useful to have a wolf with this gem around at night, or in dark areas. The wolf that controls these gems can actually light up, the whole body glows, they can control how bright they are easily, but they always have a faint glow to them.
~Red~ 3
Red controls fire, obviously, it can make fire grow, or die. It can be used for fireballs, and such.
This gem can not be used within ten feet of a blue gem.
~Green~ 2
This gem controls plants, and is usually controlled by healers. It can make plants grow, or die, and is useful for growing herbs in winter.
~Blue~ 2
Blue controls water, although, it can not change the temperature of water.
This gem can not be used within ten feet of the red gem.
~Purple~ 2
Purple controls shadows, and evil shadowy creatures. Wolves that use this gem are usually solitary, and depressed, with a thick shadowy cloud following them everywhere. This gem also controls crows, the birds usually follow the wolf with this gem around.
~White~ 1
This gem has the power of every gem, except purple. Wolves that can wield this powerful gem are usually alphas, or a high ranking wolf amongst the pack.
~Light Blue~ 1
This color controls air/wind, and the airs temperature. This is a very powerful gem.
~Black~ 1
This is a dangerous gem. It possesses the power of every other gem. But those who use it become corrupted, wanting more, and more power. They will do anything to gain power, even killing someone they love. The only way to turn the wolf back to normal is to destroy the gem.
