it was really no surprise to anyone when ivywing gave birth
to kits in her sixteenth moon. however, the pregnancy didn
't go well, and ivywing passed away, along with most of th
e kits. he was, from that moment on, severely overprotect
ive of his remaining kit- daisyclaw.

ling in fernclan, and for that he was named. his paren
ts lived just long enough to see him become an appren
tice, before they mysteriously disappeared from the c
amp. alone and feeling abandoned, hailpaw shrunk ev
en further into his shell. secretly, he hopes to make a
friend who will be able to draw him out again.
