Wren McVay
the basic snowflake
Full name: "Oh... hi. I'm Wren McVay."
Gender: "Female. I don't know why you'd ask this? I guess it's because you can't tell with people like those Careers."
Sexuality: "Um, no." Heterosexual, but not interested.
District: "District Five. You have no idea what my life was like."
Age: "I'm fourteen, so don't call me a kid."
Voice type: Mezzo-soprano
Appearance: Wren stands at a wispy 5'5" with a thin frame and long legs. She has short, curly blonde hair and wide brown doe-eyes framed by huge eyelashes. Her pale complexion is peppered with freckles. Most of the time she wears an innocent expression, and/or plays up her clumsiness in an attempt to look cute because she read about it in a young adult novel.
Personality: Wren is the typical tribute, a nondescript teenager thrown into the arena against her will. She spent all her free time reading young adult novels, the stereotypical types with a sassy female lead caught in a love triangle between two ridiculously tall alpha males. Now she's in the arena hoping her book smarts will get her through. Her strategy is to distance herself from the other tributes, seeing them as less human so she won't feel as guilty when she kills them. Survival is her top priority but she still likes to feel like a 'kind person', leading to some odd behaviors as she (unsuccessfully) attempts to get on other tributes' good side.
Crush: "No one..."
Alliance: "I don't want an alliance. They'll all betray me in the end so why bother?"
Reaped or volunteered: "I was reaped, I would never sign myself up for something this horrible. Only a Career would."
Parade outfit: "It was nice." Wren wore an electric blue dress with florescent lightning bolt accessories in her hair. In her hand was a huge, Zeus-like bolt with her district number written in bold, jagged font.
Interview angle: "I hated it... everyone stared at me."
Alignment: True neutral, she's out for self-preservation only. She doesn't like killing but she wants to get home.
Weapon of choice: "I don't know." Anything small and easily concealable.
Fatal flaw: "I don't know!" Due to reading too many books with toxic gender norms, she has subscribed to that mentality that she is weak and flimsy just because of her gender. This means she won't even attempt any tasks involving strength. She has a "not like the other girls" complex and sees anyone sharing her gender as vain and prissy. Except for female Careers... Wren doesn't even accept they're female.
โต Wren will die horrifically in the bloodbath.
