there was a time when daniel could have be
en considered the life of the party. there wa
s hardly ever a time you'd see him in a crabb
y mood. he loved making everyone else arou
nd him as happy as he was by cracking jokes
and acting like a child. in a good way of cou
rse. a lot has changed since then though. he
's not a complete debby downer. he still smi
les and tells little jokes here and there, but
he has grown up and become a lot more seri
ous. mainly, he has his daughter to thank for
that. it's only them now, so of course he nee
ds to protect her and has to keep himself ali
ve. otherwise she wouldn't have any family l
eft. he is extremely protective of the peopl
e he cares about, and that in and of itself ca
n get him in trouble. having a big mouth and
an even bigger attitude in this day and age i
sn't something you want to show off, but dan
iel has no problem with it when it comes to
the safety his people and his family.

daniel was a golden boy from the time he c
ould walk all the way up until the world fell
to pieces. his parents were happy and in lov
e, and that played a big part in shaping who
he once was. he played soccer and baseball
for years, little did he know that it prepared
him for running from the dead. he fell in lov
e with and married his high school sweethea
rt, like he was living in a hallmark movie. th
ey had a daughter together, who they name
d amelia, but after that everything went do
wnhill. it all happened so fast it was like wh
iplash to daniel. they fought constantly and
it felt like, even though he was holding on a
s tight as he could, it wasn't enough. he was
in the middle of a nasty divorce and an even
worse custody battle when everything happ
ened. when he looks back on it he's glad tha
t it was his weekend with amelia, because i
n these five years he's never come across hi
s ex. so all he can expect at this point is the

worst. in the beginning it was rough. really r
ough. amelia was still a baby so she cried a
lot. food disappeared fast, but daniel did wh
at he could to make it work. daniel struggle
d on his own for a long time before he starte

years before they had the rug pulled out fro
m under them. they were alone again after

good to be true after experiencing so much
hate for so long. to this day he still sleeps w

took him and his daughter in. it's the closes
t they've come to the real world in a long ti
me, accompanied by a few bumps and bruis
es along the way. though, he's only doing it
for her. he likes to think that if they could s

the only problem is they've made a life here
with these people. they've gotten comoforta

Personality: For the most part Alexander is an easygoing and friendly guy. With the world the way it is now Alexander has found it difficult to trust anyone who hasn't earned it. Though the instinct to jump into action when anyone is in trouble never really went away, even strangers, he wouldn't let it. Helping those in their group the best way he knows how these days, even if it's mostly just checking on cuts and bruises. If Alex thinks he's in the right he will stubbornly argue, but if he has doubt then he backs down easily. For the most part he's an emotionally driven individual, but in most circumstances Alex's training helps him to keep calm in most intense situations. He does however have a temper and if provoked to a point it shows.

History: Alex was raised by his mother, and never met his father. Though eventually his mother would find someone when he was about ten years old, and their family would expand with Alex getting younger siblings in the form of twins. Alex fell in with his stepfather's occupation and became a firefighter alongside the man. It was a job he could be proud of and something he was passionate about. They had their work cut out for him when WWIII started, the amount of fires and emergencies skyrocketed. The day the missile's hit Alex's firehouse had been out on a call, he'd been inside a burning building when the nearest one hit. The blast caused the already unstable building to collapse and he'd found himself pinned and injured inside, panic setting in. Then the bodies started rising and when Alex saw the burning corpses wandering his way he didn't know what to think or do, the worst part was seeing his stepfather among them with no reaction to Alex's callouts. If it weren't for pieces of the building still falling he might have met his end then and there but instead he found himself saved, and over the next twenty four hours worked to free himself from the rubble. This incident would be the reason he no longer handles enclosed spaces well anymore. Afterwards he went home but never found traces of his mother and siblings, instead wandering in search for them until he joined a group of survivors.
