Personality:
Fleur more or less is oblivious to how the world works. She has been sheltered for so long there is so much she still has yet to experience. She is so very innocent and delicate. Though she doesn't want to be. She hates being babied, she hates being looked down on or pitied so she tries to do everything herself. Even if she doesn't know how to do it, she refuses to ask for help. She will set fire to a home with trying to cook rather than ask someone to do it for her. She is stubborn and ambitious like that. But at the same time, she still doesn't have a voice of her own. Still living behind the shadow of her parents and feeling like she is still relying on everyone to do everything for her. When she has an opinion she usually keeps her to herself unless someone urges her to talk. Because most of her life decisions and words were spoken for her, she didn't have a choice. You will find her opening her mouth just to close it quickly after. If you cut her off or speak over her she will not try to speak up over you or finish what she was saying. She is very submissive.
But Fleur wants to speak her mind, she wants to tell people how she feels, she just hasn't yet figured out how. Her eyes speak for her most of the time, or she just listens. She is very perceptive and observant of people and also empathetic. She finds it easy to understand people and to read them.
She is a very hard worker, she will push herself to her limits and then keep pushing, to the point of exhaustion or till she collapses. She hates being reminded of being that little helpless doe in headlights and she will do almost anything even embarrass herself to get that image out of other people's minds.
Fleur is sensitive, she takes things to heart, but she will never give you the satisfaction of making her cry in front of you. She has felt weak and helpless her whole life, she will not let herself be seen like that.
Even if you wrong her she is extremely respectful, even to the nastiest of people. She will kill them with kindness and will not stoop to their level. The only time she loses herself is if you talk badly about her family or friends, especially her brothers and sister. She tries her best to be genuine but she really doesn't know who she is or who she wants to be so she isn't quite sure how exactly to be just that. Fleur can be Naive sometimes as well, thinking the world is the most beautiful place. She doesn't take anything for granted and loves to travel, she loves nature and exploring even though she is clumsy and tends to trip over her own feet or even thing air. It's like she has this unique outlook on life, but that's only natural considering she wasn't even supposed to live past 11, to begin with. Everything looks beautiful to her. And sometimes you can find her just staring up at the sky, laying in the grass, or just closing her eyes and taking in the wind with a deep breath.
Though in most aspects of life Fleur is withdrawn she can be brave, like running into a fire to save someone brave, even if it kills her. But if it comes to giving a speech in front of people, you'll find her hiding away.
If you actually get to know Fleur she is so warm, caring, and radiant, she really tries her best to keep a positive outlook on things and of life. Her smile and laugh is contagious and the rumors of her family are just that, rumors. She is kind and loves animals of all shapes and sizes.
Never being taught really what lying is, but just knowing it was wrong she is undeniably honest. Because most of her life revolved around herself and her health, nowadays she is selfless, she couldn't care less how she is and tends to be focused on others.
Fleur lives her life day to day, she has no plans for her future that she didn't even know she would have. Which leaves her usually not dreading too much on the past or mistakes. There's no time for her to dwell. And even though she looks like she is enjoying life to its fullest, deep down she is so terrified that the sickness will come back, not because she is scared of death but she is scared of how she looked, how it made her feel, how it rendered her helpless, its a fear that is deep-rooted and occasionally gifts her with nightmares.
Love is one of the things Fleur would love to experience, she wants to fall for someone like she read in books. She wants to have a fairytale of her own, and a romance with a happy ending, maybe that makes her a bit childish but, she doesn't know it any other way. She wants to have a family like her own but is fearful that her children could fall ill with what she had. She may not like it but she needs support and help to be able to grow past this fear of an illness that no longer holds onto her.
Appearance:
Fleur stands at 5'4", she has wild and untamable curly/wavy hair that falls midway to her back. Her family is known for their beautiful auburn/ginger hair, as well as she. She is very dainty, her body is thin and fragile looking. Her skin is almost porcelain. Her eyes are ocean blue, depending on the light they look lighter.
History:
Fleur was born among a large family and as the youngest of the Disraeli's. With 4 brothers and 1 sister, she was well protected and looked over as the baby of the family. The Disraeli's are very well known among Arkley. They own their own coal mines, and provide the product healthily throughout the kingdom. The Disraeli's are often looked at as full of themselves, rude, and looking out for no one but themselves. But that's only true about Fleur's parents, the kids actually grew up more kind and gentle, probably because they weren't really around their parents growing up, just the nanny. Her father was usually off traveling for buisness and her mother following behind him.
When Fleur was born she was sick, it was nothing too serious but of course, her mother and father made a big deal out of it, getting the best medication that money could buy. Within a few months, she was better. But it seemed the sickness was not done with Fleur. When she was around 6 she fell ill again, doctors from all over came to help her but it seemed her health was just rapidly declining, and after 4 years of being deathly ill, she was predicted to not make it any more than a year longer. At this point, fleur was 10 years old, and in a year's time when she was 11 she was still fighting, though you could see the sickness was taking a toll on her body. During all this time she was never left alone, never allowed to go out on her own, she wasn't allowed to walk without support, she couldn't play with her siblings, or with other kids. She was kept inside and told what to do. This is where she took up a love for writing. Fleur just wanted to live whatever time she had left to the fullest, she had accepted death, but she had yet to live. Living by rules and restrictions made it feel like she was a prisoner. But she listened to her parents and her nanny. During the time she was sick, Fleur's parents had more of a presence, and her siblings were kind of envious of that but was still very supportive of her and would come to see her when they could.
Still fighting when Fleur was 14 it seemed that her sickness had a turn for the better, and she was starting to win, and within the next few months, she was clean of any sickness. Her body took a few months to completely recuperate, and because of how long she had been sick it seemed it made her rather thin and smaller than what she was supposed to be. But she was healthy and strong. Even though she beat whatever it was she had, her parents still kept her on a leash, she wasn't allowed to go anywhere without someone with her still. She didn't have a voice or an opinion, she just had to obey.
Fleur just wanted to be able to be apart of the world on her own two legs and eventually, she started to sneak out at night and travel around the kingdom until the sun rose, often leaving her with little to no sleep. Sooner or later her parents found out and it turned into this big argument, mostly just her being scolded, and finally, she told them she just wants to go out on her own. Within the next few months they finally let her go out on her own without an escort or nanny.
She still gets a little out of breath when she gets too worked up or active [like dancing or running] but that doesn't stop her from doing it. She is curious and envious of the way of life of Nearon, she believes she was born into the wrong kingdom.
