Belladonna is an interesting sort of person, even for a witch who has attended Hogwarts since her first year of school. She carries a very mysterious air, her movements always deliberate and graceful, her voice always a soft, dreamy murmur, her gaze always slightly focused on the distance. Aloof and regal most of the time, Belladonna can have a cold look about her, mainly because she's always so serious. A very solemn and dignified girl, Belladonna prefers to spend most of her time alone. Not one for social events, she prefers the quiet company of herself, a lone wolf, if you will. Belladonna isn't the friendliest person around, probably because of her distant and reserved personality. She doesn't really like to talk about herself, instead choosing to keep her business her business and her history private. Born to a single mother, Belladonna's Muggle father left when he discovered that his wife was a witch. Consequently, Belladonna grew up with serious trust problems, never confiding in anyone and keeping her entire life a shadowy secret. Most people assume she is a pureblood from the way she carries herself, but no one ever bothered to really ask otherwise. Belladonna isn't ashamed to be a half-blood, but she is ashamed to have a father who abandoned her and her mother. As a result, she's fiercely independent and doesn't like admitting it when she's upset or feeling sad. She had to take care of herself as a child, and still does, with a calculating capability that's rather intimidating at times. Intelligent and intellectual, Belladonna is quite observant with a keen memory and quick grasp of understanding things. Most are surprised that she wasn't Sorted a Ravenclaw, but that's only because they don't realize how emotional she actually is on the inside. Choosing to keep all of her feelings pent up inside, Belladonna is actually extremely brave, compassionate, and understanding. With a huge amount of loyalty and a good spot of wisdom for advice, Belladonna is a very good friend to her few companions. It just takes a certain sort of person to peel back her layers and find the charmingly sweet and lonely girl that's deep inside.
