so question about the facility, cuz i just wanna make sure we're all imagining the same thing.

I'm basically imagining that the facility itself is kind of like a cross between a prison and a house. it has small living spaces for the twelve meta humans including gathering/entertainment and dining areas, as well as their own room/cell, but it also has high security access floors and halls where security escorts them between experiments and then outdoors to their hour of freedom.

is that an accurate idea...or are we thinking more, they're in a big ole human sized dog kennel like from maximum ride?

The facility is more like the first choice you mentioned. Everyone has their own room, but it's small, empty except for a bed, closet, and mirror. Each room has voice recorders inside; cameras and guards are in the halls. There are shared bathrooms and showers but are on opposite ends of the halls to avoid confusion. Rooms and bathrooms are on the middle floor of the building. The dining area is a floor below them. The dining hall has cameras but no voice recorders. Guards are always outside the doors, but if everyone is quiet enough, their conversations won't be heard.

There's a large room on the dining floor where they are allowed to use their abilities. They are only allowed to use their abilities in that room and in the testing room (if they are asked to.) If any ability use is seen outside of those areas, they will be tranquilized immediately and will be brought back to their rooms. Of course, they have to see you to catch you doing it, so it's much easier for the telepath, wind, invisibility, and others whose abilities are unseen to get away with it.

Everyone is discouraged from contact and they're kept separate as much as possible. Only two people are allowed to be in a bedroom at a time (besides, they're so small no more can fit), and there's always curfew where everyone needs to be in their own rooms. It is rare that they are alone so planning would be very difficult if they didn't have a telepath with them. The bathroom, mealtimes, and the hour outside are their best chances at talking unheard. Their hour of freedom is where they spend an hour in a small garden and clearing about the size of a soccer field. There are guards there too, but they stay on the perimeter of the area.

Personality Angel's persona is as dynamic as the winds. Typically bubbling with theatrics and not
opposed to a little slapstick, he copes with his situation by treating everything like a joke. Be it
constantly flirting with any female guard that comes his way, bursting into random musical re-
frains, or simply laughing at something that should be tragic, it's difficult to break through his wall
to get to the person underneath.

Despite his outgoing and sociable personality, Angel is a hopeless pessimist. He doesn't truly believe
he's ever getting off this island, but he might entertain the idea just for kicks. Hey, if it's fun, why
not?

History Angel's father was a scientist, and a brilliant one at that. Angel's mother had died from
childbirth--died because of Angel, though Mr. d'Arc never told him this and shared a very close
bond with his only son. Or at least, that's the way it seemed. When Angel's powers surfaced at 18,
Mr. d'Arc willingly turned his son over, claiming that it was for 'the greater good' and that these
people who wanted to whisk Angel away to some isolated island were going to 'help' him. Heartbroken,
Angel couldn't understand why his father had made the decision that he did. Had their entire relation-
ship been a lie? Feeling utterly betrayed, it was around this time that Angel began to harden and form
an alternate personality, one that wouldn't let him get hurt again.
