Named for his soot-black pelt, Darke has a heart of coal and fur to match. He's a large, broud-shouldered brute, with long coarse fur and rather long claws and teeth. He has scars over his muzzle and flank, from past battles with wolves outside the pack, and even some within. Headstrong and hot-tempered, Darke is usually found seething over something, and plotting to take his begenace when backs are turned. He doesn't like to play fair, as he believes he's never met his match. He doesn't even fear the alpha, but begrudgingly follows his orders due to his rank. He one day hopes to attain such a status, even if he has to go about it in a dishonest way.

Ookami knows that the key to being a leader, even a second-in-command, is finding a balance between order and liberty for the members of the pack. She keeps this in mind whenever making an important decision. To much liberty would result in chaos, and too much other would result in an uprising, which are both unfavorable outcomes. She prefers to travel rather than to settle, as they must give time for the resources at each rest point to replenish. This includes water, prey and essential leaves and berries for healing. Ookami, even when under immense pressure, remains calm, rarely slipping into hysteria, but can lose her patience and become curt and snappy. She hates getting into this mood, especially when there are those who enjoy pushing her buttons. But that note that she is not afraid to give a tiresome pack member a good swipe.
