the things that i lost here, the people i knew - they've got me surrounded for a mile or two

PERSONALITY. at his core, ravensight is a kind-hearted soul who just wants to protect everyone and make sure they're safe. when he falls in love, he falls hard and becomes so attached that the thought of anything happening to the cat he loves terrifies him. he feels immense guilt for finding himself falling in love again after willowheart's death and worries that she would think he is replacing her.

ravensight keeps a closer eye on the apprentices, even if he knows they wouldn't exactly appreciate it - especially as he knows birchpaw and cinderpaw would have become warriors by now if they hadn't lost their home. he has an exceptionally soft spot for kits, but can't be around them for too long without thinking of his own that he'd lost so tragically.

he also has a lot of mixed feelings about [the kind] - on one hand, he respects their ability to turn their back on everything they once knew, as that takes a lot of courage. on the other, their group was the reason he lost his family. which unfortunately means most conversations he has with them are pretty stilted - even over the two moons that he's slowly gotten to know them.

HISTORY. ravensight was the middle child of duskheart and swanstreak's first and only litter. he, like his brother sunstrike, were named for their fur colors. his warrior name, sight, comes from his above average eyesight. ravensight had a normal life growing up and fell in love with his mate when they were apprentices. he and willowheart were inseparable, so it came as no surprise when they became mates and willowheart had their three kits - hollykit, ashkit, and ivykit. unfortunately, ravensight's life started to spiral afterwards. willowheart didn't last much longer after their kits had been born - the medicine cat had explained that she was just too weak and couldn't hold on for much longer. a moon after he'd lost willowheart, he'd lost his father and sunstrike. but he did his best to hold his head high - he had to stay strong, not just for himself but for his kits who had become his entire world.

and then the cats from the twolegplace attacked. and then ravensight lost fallingstep. then his mother. he had done his absolute best to shelter his kits - wanted to keep them alive and safe. but two sunrises after the rushed ceremony where they'd been announced as apprentices, the hostile cats killed his children. and then robinstar died, and then he forced himself to flee, the remains of the clan being four others and a cat who betrayed their old friends, leaving behind his entire life.

[there will be a bit here about the cat he does fall in love with - i'm just not sure if it's gonna be a moonlitclan cat or someone from emberclan]

snaketongue is a tall, long-haired
brown tabby with cloudy, pale
green eyes. while appearing bulky,
she has significant muscle atrophy
beneath her coat; and thus does
experience rather bad ataxia/lack
of proper balance while walking.
her coat is usually well groomed,
but sometimes may appear pelted
down as she doesn't pay much
mind to grooming it. she also has
chronic, but benign, anisocoria;
her left pupil is just slightly larger
than her right, but this doesn't
cause any problems with her sight
(which is going due to age). her
ears have deformed cartilage and
a number of cuts due to a bit of
past injuries; though her hearing
is still intact considering her age.

snaketongue was, at one point, a brilliant warrior -
she and her family knew that she had plenty light
for her written path, but when her body started to
give way the older that she got, she opted to retire
to the elder's den. she's accepted the fact she's no
longer of proper use to moonlitclan, although she
longs to give some sort of proper contribution.

in her time in the elder's den, she has become a bit
of a watcher, given she can't do much else. she is
quite fond of watching the younger members of the
clan growing to their full potential; and often also
enjoys sharing tongues and offering her own words
of advice. she has also, in turn, become a little bit
sarcastic and sharp-tongued, though this is never
out of malice. she's typically gentle, and nurturing,
and hardly would wish harm on others. she knows
where her heart lies, as well, and it's not very likely
that she turns herself away from what she strongly
cares about. in this same sense, snaketongue has
no issue with voicing her opinions on things, and
does so quite often whole holding a hard stance on
it. she doesn't sway on her opinions very easily at
all, either; as she's rather set in her ways. however,
this isn't to say that she has a traditional mindset;
she is rather open and flexible to new situations,
but when she feels that something is wrong, it's not
likely that she'll sway any without deep convincing

hi everyone!
i've finished birchpaw (apprentice, emberclan) &
sandstorm (warrior, moonlitclan) on page one c:

i'd love to discuss relos! particularly emberclan cats for birchpaw.
i've also left sandstorm's history/family/etc section open in case any of you had any ideas! i'm also happy to adjust age etc for it to fit if anyone's up for it. if not i'll probably just kill her family off or npc them hehe.
