ronan is not an extrovert, but he is very much a people person in the
sensethat he cares deeply about people. rich or poor, powerful or
powerless, ronan abides by a humanistic school of thought in his
approach to all people, and in this way he is simultaneously well
and ill suited to his role as king of fordaemdur. he doesn't have a
cunning bone in his body, which makes him something of a liability
to the kingdom, despite his best intentions. he has a tendency to
ruminate on on things to an extent that borders on detrimental and
he has been known to exhibit signs of severe instability, especially
behind closed doors. at his core though, ronan is a good natured man
with a good heart and a troubled head who is probably better suited
to an inconspicuous life among the masses than the conspicuous life
leading them that he currently has.

bennet fenn [✪] "i am as afraid for you as i am of you."

ronan may not know exactly how much havoc his younger
brother is capable of wreaking, but he has an idea. as much of
a threat as bennet is though, ronan still cares deeply for his
brother and wishes that he could find some way to communicate
that to him in a way that he would understand.

charlotte fenn [✪] "please stay soft. do not let the cruelty of this world

ronan finds charlotte, or atlas as he has almost always
referred to her, much easier to connect with than bennet. he
empathizes with the way that she seems to wear her heart on
her sleeve and sympathizes with the mediator role with which
he perceives her as having been ordained since birth. overall,
ronan loves his sister dearly and would go to great lengths to
protect her too.

nikolias bentham [✔] "if we are the men our fathers were, we should

as another of the kingdom's new initiates in a leadership role,
ronan feels a kind of kinship with nikolias, despite that fact
that he does not know him particularly well yet. he does recall
hearing of and occasionally seeing nikolias around when they
were boys, because their fathers had worked closely together
for many yearsprior to their deaths, but he kept his distance
from the other boy, as he tended to keep his distance from
most people in his youth.he is looking forward to getting to
know him better now.

avalon smith [✔] "shock value superseded by true talent."

ronan didn't imagine that his master of horse would be a
woman, but he cannot and would not deny avalon's natural and
earned skill performing the role. he is confident in her ability to
maintain order and functionality in fordaemdur's stables and he
could see himself trusting her with matters beyond his destrier's
care, if the situation presented itself.

caine mallory [✔] "thank you for your service."

ronan knows that caine has face hardships in his life; he can
see it in the way the kennel master carries himself, but he knows
no man with greater skill in the art of training hounds to hunt or
to protect. he respects caine's devotion and admires his abilities,
and he appreciates the other' man's service to the crown and to
him.

ramses prescott [●] "i don't know you, but i think i would like to."

ronan doesn't know ramses well, but he has seen the
falconer around and he has an interest in his work. ronan
believes in the value of a message quickly relayed during
trying times, so he could see himself befriending the man
that could make that happen for him and his people, if such
trying times ever arose.

moriah o'malley [✔] "i am sorry for the trials life has put you through."

given the circumstances that landed moriah in the
service of his family, ronan knows that moriah has not lead
the most fair or the most desirable of lives. he feels great
sympathy for the servant and has come to quite like her for
her quiet compassion. he finds her presence calming and
quite amicable despite not really knowing her on a personal
level.

seraphina wilde [●] "are you a sentinel, spy, or something in between?"

ronan does not know what to make of sera. he does not
believe that she is the witch that some of the townsfolk have
made her out to be, but he can see a very eerie ring of truth
to the various tales that have been told her. in any case, it is
clear to him that, although she may not be a witch, she is a
woman like no other, so ronan isn't quite sure about how to
approach her, or if doing so is even a good idea to begin with.

eskil thorson [●] "i believe you."

ronan has not crossed paths with eskil often, which
means that he knows very little about the inner workings
of his mind. that said, on the few occasions they have
happened upon each other, ronan has taken note of the
fire in his eyes. in some respects, that fire reminds him
of the fire that burns in his own brother's eyes, but in
other respects, ronan recognizes it as very different. he
is interested to see what more there is to the guardsman.

tarner eathe [●] "i will not cross you, but you must not cross me"

perhaps its his own subconscious or his father's unrestful ghost
trying to warn him of what lays beneath the surface, but tarner
makes ronan uneasy. he doesn't dislike the other man, but he does
avoid him wherever possible, because as far as he knows, the two
have very little in common.

arlo eathe [●] "i know your name but not what to make of you."

ronan views arlo in a similar light to that in which he views
the young man's older brother, which is to say that he does not
dislike him, but he does not fully trust him either. he seems
harmless enough, and the game that he sells in the market
helps to feed the people over which ronan rules, but there is
something about him of which ronan is uncertain.

cordovia eathe [●] "is your gentleness genuine, or are you just well
`````````````````versed in hiding your teeth?"

ronan is less familiar with cordovia than he is with her more
conspicuous siblings, but he has caught glimpses of her here and
there, veiled in shadows watching or, more infrequently, out in
the open handing out provisions and support to the less fortunate.
as a result of these latter glimpses, ronan is a little less wary of
her than he is of the rest of the eathes, but that's not to say that
he trusts her implicitly, either. she's still an eathe, after all.

sersha eathe [●] "not quite your brothers, but not quite harmless either."

ronan knows that, as a soldier and a scout, sersha is not to be
messed with or underestimated, but her apparent extraversion
sets her apart from her brothers in a way that makes ronan
somehow less cautious about her. however, he knows that her
blood is still the same as that which flows through the veins
of the other eathes, so ronan's lessened caution is decidedly
not a complete lack thereof.

ivor archibald [●] "i want to depend on you, i just don't know if i should."

ronan admires ivor's well earned confidence in the art of
battle and he finds that confidence to be very trust-magnetic.
he doesn't trust the soldier implicitly, he can't allow himself to,
because he really doesn't know him well and to be so naïve would
be irresponsible, but doesn't distrust him implicitly either, which
is saying something, considering his generally distrustful feelings
for the eathes and the apparent associations between the two.

svala holt [✔] "the kingdom is lucky to have you."

truth be told, ronan is a little bit afraid of svala, although
he tries not to put that fear out on display for her or others to
see. he can see her skill in the products of her work though,
and he admires it, quietly and from a distance. he would not
be likely to approach the blacksmith to tell her this to her
face, but he truly does think the kingdom and its people are
fortunate to have her among them.

damien drake [✔] "looking at you is almost like looking in a mirror."

ronan identifies closely with damien and the seemingly
incompatible proclivities towards confidence and insecurity
that they appear to share. ronan holds damien in high regard,
and he views damien's management of their common personality
traits as a success story and a model of relative stability that
he hopes to embody one day himself. he is grateful to have him
as the captain of fordaemdur's guard and, dare he say it, as a
friend and potential confidant.

freyja payne [✔] "i'm forever in your debt."

as he had inherited his father's crown, so too did he inherit
his trust in freyja. he holds the physician in high regard, not
only for the invaluable expertise and services with which she
provides his family and the kingdom, but also for her honesty
and composure in good times and bad. he sees her as a pillar
of stability and beacon of light in a world that he often privately
allows to get the better of him, and he hopes to one day be
more like the man she knew his father to be so that the provision
of support in their relationship can be a little less one sided.

born into power, tarner has cultivated an attitude to match his bloodline
over the years. although he is known for his tact, charm, and wit among the
upper and lower classes alike, he is decidedly not known among either for his
authenticity. he is a snake in the grass, laying in wait for someone useful to
misplace their trust in him. he always has his sights set on the next step
forward, the next step up, the next, the next, the next. however, he is still
capable, and actually very much enjoys, being idle, whatever that may mean
to him in any given moment. be it sparking up an innocuous conversation with
a bar maid or challenging a stable hand to a race on his trusted and beloved
mount, elos, tarner is much more than his desire for more, and he has it in him
to better develop those aspects of himself too, under the right circumstances.

ronan fenn [✘] "i would wear that crown much better than you, mate."

tarner does not reciprocate the neutrality that ronan feels for
him, despite how minimally personal that lack of reciprocation is.
always looking towards the next big thing, tarner has his eyes on
ronan's crown, and in his mind, one of two things standing in the
way of him getting it is ronan himself. the man probably has some
very wonderful ways about him, but tarner can't be bothered to
care about that with what's on the line.

bennet fenn [✘/✔] "how do you feel about dogs?"

in tarner's mind, the second of the three things standing between
him and the crown is bennet, but tarner has heard rumors about
the tension between the heir apparent and the rest of his family,
so he can't help but feel as simultaneously positive about him as
he does negative about him. sure, he will ultimately have to die
for the sake of tarner's ambition, but that's not say that the two
can't be friends in the interim, right?

charlotte fenn [✘] "keep those eyes of yours fixed on some other
`````````````````target, princess."

it follows that the third of the three things tarner sees standing
between himself and the crown is charlotte, but unlike her
brothers, tarner also sees charlotte as a legitimate, corporeal
threat to himself and his packmates. with her bow so often in
hand or nearby and her apparent preference for spending time
in the forest, the chances of her firing an arrow into the hide of
a wolf are far too high for tarner's liking, which makes charlotte
far too dangerous for his liking too.

nikolias bentham [✘] "you backed the wrong horse in this race."

tarner isn't personally familiar with nikolias, so he doesn't
know what to expect from the man. he does however, have an
idea of what to expect from the master at arms, and that is
loyalty to the reigning monarch. if he was to start a war for
the crown, tarner imagines nikolias would fight against him,
which makes him easy to dislike, even without knowing him
well. he is quite confident that nikolias will need to be
disposed of when he seizes the throne, because even if he
was to bend the knee after the fact, tarner doesn't imagine
he'll ever be able to trust him.

avalon smith [●] "you're not an easy one to read, are you, love?"

as master of horse, tarner assumes that avalon is loyal to the
fenns, but he's not sure how far that loyalty might extend. would
she bend the knee for him, if it came to it? tarner doesn't know,
but for the time being, he isn't too concerned about her
allegiances. she does seem to be good with horses, he'll give her
that, but he still doesn't leave elos in her care; he doesn't know
her well enough for that yet.

caine mallory [✘] "you know nothing, caine mallory."

... except tarner senses that mr. mallory knows far too much,
and he wishes that the kennel master would just keep his
untrusting eyes to himself and far away from him and his pack.
caine seems to be friendly enough on the outside, but tarner is
wary of the other man's understandable distaste for wolves and
that wariness agitates him, leading to his much less
understandable distaste for caine.

ramses prescott [●] "most of the birds i see are scavengers, so what
`````````````````does that make you?"

beyond seeing ramses in the market and various other places
in the kingdom, tarner doesn't know much about the falconer,
other than the fact that he associates him with the birds that
scavenge their meals from those of the pack. he doesn't fault
ramses for the association, just as he doesn't fault the birds
for their scavenging, but he is not sure what to make of him
beyond that.

moriah o'malley [●] "your hair suits you."

tarner doesn't know very much about moriah, as he has only
passed her by on occasion, but it seems to him that she has an
air of ambition about her and a survival instinct to match, and
he feels as though, on some level, they could be kindred spirits.
he very nonchalantly respects her apparent work ethic, and
wonders if she'll ever try to turn it to her advantage.

seraphina wilde [●] "best stay close to that wall, witch."

tarner is intrigued by the unnerving woods witch, seraphina,
but he is equally wary of her. in the few glimpses he has
caught of her, within the kingdom's walls and without, she has
shown him very little of her true intentions and allegiances,
and her home in the forest is a little too close for his comfort
with so many unknowns about her involved. that said, he
doesn't dislike her, and he wouldn't be opposed to learning a
little more about her and her eccentricities. keep your friends
close and your enemies closer, right?

tarner has not met eskil yet, but has seen him in passing
and knows that he is a guardsman to the kingdom.

arlo eathe [✪] "this empire could be yours one day. do me a favor and

the stability of the power dynamic between he and his
younger brother keeps tarner's patience for arlo's dissent from
his views relatively high. being older and the alpha of the pack,
tarner feels secure enough in his position of authority that his
deep and often unexpressed love for arlo is actually what guides
the majority of his thoughts and actions towards him. tarner's
ambitions are not just for himself, but his successors as well.

cordovia eathe [✪] "take control over your compassion, don't let your
`````````````````compassion take control."

tarner knows trouble when he sees it, and cordovia's heart
leaves little to the imagination when it comes to its potential
to cause trouble, not only for him, but for the rest of the pack
as well. tarner loves his sister, and he knows that she is as
smart and tough as she is kindhearted, but he worries that
she may be taken advantage of one day if she does not take
take measures to guard herself more against that possibility.

sersha eathe [✪] "i guess i assumed too much when i thought having
```````````````another sister would be easy, hey?"

tarner knows that sersha is strong, but he still tends to
be protective of his younger sister, although he does tend to
be quite casual in his expression of that protectiveness, as he
is in his expression of most sentiments. as with the rest of his
family, tarner is highly motivated by love when it comes to
sersha, and he wants to see her be successful and happy; he
just has specific ideas of what success and happiness look
like, which he feels may be slightly different than hers.

ivor archibald [✔] "we've got a good thing going here, you and i;
````````````````here's hoping we can keep it that way."

tarner is not the most trusting of individuals, but he has
gotten to a point of being dangerously close to trusting ivor.
tarner shares similar views to those that ivor has on family
and ambitious leadership, but he also shares ivor's tendency
towards ambition and ego, which means that there is as much
potential for them to agree on things as there is for them to
butt heads over them. overall though, tarner is happy with
his second in command and has hopes that he will continue
to feel that way as time goes on.

svala holt [✔] "consider yourself well respected, ms. holt."

tarner's feelings for svala are very similar to his feelings
for ivor. he is just on the cusp of seeing her undying loyalty
for what it is and allowing that to persuade him to trust her,
but he is not quite there yet. he recognizes that she will not
bow to just anyone and he is honored by her willingness to
bow to him, despite the occasional cheeky fuss that she
makes about it. as with ivor, the combined size of tarner and
svala's ego can make their compatibility a challenge from
time to time, but tarner's hopes that the good will continue
to outweigh the bad go for svala too.

damien drake [●] "spending more time with your own kind would do

tarner is acquainted with damien, as he should be having
grown up in the pack alongside him, but as far as tarner is
concerned, their connection does not run much deeper than
that. he gets the sense that damien is put off by him for some
reason, which has lead him to be put off by damien, but not
yet to an extent that would warrant any corrective action on
tarner's part. that said, tarner is growing concerned by the
minimal amount of time that damien has been spending with
the pack as of late. it seems to tarner like its only a matter
of time before the other shoe drops with damien.

freyja payne [✘] "this is my territory, not yours. don't make me tell
```````````````you twice."

tarner has only been able to identify freyja by her
scent, similar enough in both of her forms to out her to him
as a wolf, even when he's run across her in her human skin,
but also clearly different from the scents of the wolves he
knows to have submitted to him as their alpha male. tarner
mislikes freyja for her refusal to concede her independence
and her prominence in the court of ronan fenn; he sees her
as a loose end in need of some tying up, he just doesn't know
how to best go about either running her off or disposing of
her yet.

jax mcintosh [✘] "if you know what's good for you, you'll clear

as with freyja, tarner has only been able to identify the
wolf in jax by his scent, and he has not taken kindly to the
rogue's sovereign presence in his territory. tarner sees jax as
another loose end that, like freyja, could be his undoing if
not dealt with before its too late.

Ramses was born to Matthew and Deloris Prescott, but was raised only by his father after Deloris abandoned her husband and child when Ramses was but a babe. Being raised without a mother was difficult enough, but at least the boy had his father... but, alas, it was not meant to remain this way. Ramses' father, Matthew, was ultimately stricken by some sort of disease that, to this day, Ramses does not know the name of, and his father died from such a disease when the boy was still just that; a boy. Knowing that he could not possibly survive by himself, his father told his son before he died to go and see his uncle Jacob and aunt Elizabeth, for they would take care of him. The boy did not leave his father's side until after his death. Ramses was only six when his father passed away.
He did as he was told and went to visit his uncle and aunt to live in a small village within the providence of (insert kingdom name here) with them. Unfortunately, his uncle and aunt had never had children, but had always wanted a child, and they treated and raised Ramses like he was their very own, with much love, affection and discipline when necessary. Ramses helped along the family farm, though things were tough when kingdoms were feuding. Fewer people bought produce, and even fewer people could afford it. Seed became expensive and soon all the family could really do was plant potatoes. Poverty within the region got so bad that even the birds were having a hard time finding food and, often, came to the farm to pilfer what they could. Quite unsatisfied with the birds and their shenanigans, Ramses opted to take action and protect what little food supply his family had left... and that was when he learned that he had a special thing for birds.
In trying to get the ravens from eating his potatoes he had, through various means, befriended them. Finding it was quite easy, he opted to go out and befriend more birds. Some were a bit more difficult than others but he ultimately found that he loved birds, and that birds loved him, too.
His uncle saw that he did well with such winged creatures and thought it a right idea to go and hire out his services. While Ramses refuses to sell his birds, unless he finds that they want to stay with somebody, he offers his services as a falconer. He has varying large birds that can be used to carry messages or just to survey the areas and alert him when there is danger. With such winged friends, he can be quite handy.
Nowadays he can be found wandering around other various kingdoms, looking for work, mostly, although he isn't often away from his uncle and aunt for very long... or, at the very least, tries not to be.

Ramses, unfortunately, hasn't really gotten to know the
royal family at all, but he had heard the news of the
late king's death. He knows what it's like to lose a
family member, thus he feels for the family.

His Highness, Sir Bennet Fenn
"Seems like the rowdy kind. Aunt Elizabeth warned me about that breed."
Ramses has heard, and even seen, a bit of

quite sure how he feels about the man. He
definitely isn't what Ramses would imagine
a prince would be.

"It appears we have much in common."
Ramses has only met Miss Smith a few times
during his rounds in town but she seems quite
nice. He was also quite surprised to hear about
her connection with horses, it sounding much
like his own connection with his birds.

Sir Caine Mallory
"You seem like a good man."
As unfortunate as it is, Ramses has not seen
much of Mister Mallory, but he has heard a lot
of chatter through the grape vine. While he is
rather sorry for the man, he sounds like one
that someone could depend on.

Miss Moriah O'Malley
"A hard-working girl. Her speak is quite interesting."
While he has only seen Moriah on a rare
occasion, he can tell she's from somewhere
else, for he has never heard an accent like
that before. He is curious about where she
has come from, but hasn't really had
the time to get to know her much, yet.

Sir Tarner Eathe
"I'm not sure what to decipher of you."
Ramses isn't too sure he enjoys the company
of Mister Eathe. There's just something about
the man that puts him off, so Ramses keeps
his beak out of the man's business.

Sir Arlo Eathe
"You remind me of a fire."
Somewhat unpredictable. While Arlo
seems resourceful and gentle, Ramses
can see the young man tends to be a
little on the moody side.

Miss Svala Holt
"Your work is excellent, but what is the cost?"
Miss Svala is quite renown for her
blacksmithing skills, but Ramses can see
that this may have planted an ego about
her. He's unsure if he wants to cross her.

Miss Sersha Eathe
"You have a raven, too!"
Ramses has seen Miss Sersha around
and is quite surprised to see she has a bird
much like him. Although he is a bit curious
as to why she chose to be a soldier.

~ 𝕳𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖞 ~
Moriah was born in between two worlds, although because of such an occurrence, her life was riddled with misery. Her father was a royal among her home country, and her mother was a lowly servant. Her father did not want her, and her mother could not take her... so, Moriah, when she was a wee babe, was put within an orphanage.
Within the orphanage, Moriah was forced to grow up quickly, thanks to the orphanages work system. Once children were of proper age, they were hired to do small jobs about various places to pay for their accommodations. Moriah, by the time she was twelve, had done all sorts of odd and end jobs. She had picked rock in farmer's fields, cleaned various small businesses, tended to farm animals, helped harvest crops, and so on an so forth. As she grew older and continued to work, she became a jack of all trades. She could do just about anything as long as she was given the tools to do so.
When she had turned sixteen she was still within the orphanage, and ultimately booted out since she was, in the current standards, able to fend for herself. She went out into the world and continued to find odd and end jobs, despite the rather low amount she had often got for her work. She lived in various barns when she wasn't working, living with the animals within them... Although she was always booted out after some time.
Eventually, some years later, she had run out of money and could no longer find any jobs that would take her. She was living off of whatever she could find on the streets at that point and it was getting harder and harder to cope with. When on her last legs, she opted to go overseas via a smuggler's ship, to try and find a better life for herself across the open ocean. It brought her to the kingdom of Fordaemdur, and she felt the weight of her previous kingdom lift off her shoulders... although a new weight was placed upon them as she was soon found to have traveled illegally and was placed in the local prison.
She did a little time before she opted to do community service for her time, and was ultimately placed within the castle to do the work of a domestic servant. She did her work happily, and proceeded to work through her time. Once her time was done, she begged to remain working within the castle, only asking for food and shelter as payment, for she didn't want to go back out and possibly fall to poverty and cold nights once more. Miraculously she was accepted into the occupation, and has since remained a domestic servant within the Fordaemdur castle.
She keeps to herself these days, focusing on her job than much else... although if spoken to, she will easily speak her mind, not really bothering when it comes to just who she's talking to. Nevertheless, she's pretty quiet otherwise, invisible in larger crowds and more content to just enjoy what she's got for now. Who knows how long this will last.
