❛HISTORY --
a small flicker of a past life - a simpler life with golden light pouring through pink curtains, a playmate sister, and polished barbie dolls, is all tisha remembers from before her time within the government training schools. she wished she remembered more. whisked away the day she turned five, tisha was placed in one of the schools designed to break her and mold her into something new. a tool or an enforcer for the government. her powers were nothing but intangible weapons they couldn't have and how badly they wanted them...
her "powers" were simple - in case of severe shock or danger, her body had the ability to slow its rate, to calm her heart and induce a death-like sleep, without a heartbeat. no blood loss, no shiver of fear. she was just a shell of the girl she used to be.
but once this ability was recognized within the program, they wouldn't stop trying to perfect it, as they said. a bullet wound to her abdomen. slits within her veins. a fractured jaw-line. every time she fell, and every time her heart preserved her life. the only weakness they could find was that her heart would only revive itself once it deemed the body was safe again - any injury healed or imperative wound closed up. if left without aid, the body would starve itself in the pursuit of saving itself. a small price to pay if one could essentially live forever. but one day, as she was curled within her cell-like dorm, she overheard several hall-guards whispering about an operation. "they're doing the transplant today..." something about the president or ceo of some company... "hopefully her heart can save him." the color slid from her face faster than the lump in her throat rose, and that was when she knew she had to do what no other known surviving test subject had done. she had to escape.
news of a rebellion - a safe haven for people like her had been slowly making its way through the halls, no matter how hard the compound tried to silence it. she would go there. but to who? to where? her mind was floating, but her blood was still pulsing with its passion through her small body and she knew to save it, she would have to fly.
tisha has been on the streets for just a few days now, afraid but free, and is still desperately searching for her place of rest. where were these powerful, brave, and confident rebels she had heard so many good things about...
❛PERSONALITY --
tisha is extremely guarded because of her past, as she escaped government testing and has been on the run for only a few days now. her tolerance for pushy personalities and cocky men has near hit its limit, and she will often resort to flight over fight unless someone she dearly cares about is in danger. these people are few and far between. when tisha snaps or is betrayed, she often has a hard time coming back from it because she bares her true heart to only a few and trusts they will guard it with their lives, as she has many times. she is in no way perfect though and has the tendency to judge people quickly and mercilessly. she dearly wants to have a normal life and will let no person with mixed motives or poor character get the best of her. but her quick judgments of people often mean she expects too much and is usually left with no one to confide in, even in many cases those with good intentions. she simply doesn't believe they could love her for her, and not her abilities. tisha does have a soft spot for children - increased by the loss of her younger sister to the system and, when she does accept someone into her life, she gives them her absolute all and can become one of their biggest supporters and companions. honestly, the thing that holds her back the most is herself - she has the potential to become a strong, determined rebel but needs a sturdy hand to guide her in the beginning and a cause to fight for. she was named after happiness and one day, within her calling, she will find it┌────────────────────────────────────┐
