Are we starting this with them not yet competing for Otterpaw, and playing it out as the RP progresses? Or are we jumping straight in with it? Either way I'm going to keep Otterpaw oblivious to their crushes for now ^^

Around the clan Sunpaw is mostly known for his playful nature and positive attitude. Like his mother he can also be described as being a rather care-free and curious cat with a hearth for exploring. He loves to regard himself as the pinnacle of justice. Going to great lengths to makes sure that everyone is treated fairly and justly, regardless of their origin. It is also clear that he carries himself with a confident step and is rarely never seen with anything else but a smile on his face. He's thinking can be rather one-sided however, as he can go to unimaginable lengths to defend his "side" (clan, friends etc.) against even the most heinous of accusations. He can also get a bit bossy and overly confident in his abilities. Doesn't help that he sometimes seems to have trouble with taking everyone's opinions into account before proceeding making him, more often than not, come off as arrogant in his decisions.

But hiding behind his charming smile and sweet words lies a different side of the same coin. Deep down the tom can be surprisingly devious. Not blinking twice if he has to betray someone close to himself in order to further his cause. He can also be ruthless in his ways, rarely showing even a hint of pity for those who he thinks had it coming. He also finds it hard to trust anyone else besides from himself, and his mother, as he thinks that everyone else is also putting on a facade like he himself is. He is also quite prone to paranoia. Always trying to silently observe others even for the smallest signs of betrayal.

Sunpaw was born into Heathclan to a rather young queen, Honeydew. It was not much of a surprise to the clan when Honeydew had fallen pregnant as her care-free nature had been well known around the camp. But what had made many suspicious of her loyalty was when no tom went to claim the kit as their own. It didn't help much that Honeydew flat-out refused to name the tom herself and always switched the conversation whenever anyone even so but hinted about the possible father. Many rumours were shared around the camp for these reasons. Most socially acceptable rumour was that the father was a Heathclan tom who for whatever reason didn't want to name himself. The more "exciting" rumour was that the tom must have been a high ranking who didn't want to be associated with the likes of Honeydew and thus wanted to remain anonymous. And the least honourable was the good possibility that the kit was indeed fathered by an outsider, or worse, a dirty Mapleclaner!

Sunpaw's kithood had been rather regular for a kit of his standing as the adults of the clan had at least had enough tact to keep the more serious of rumours out of the nursery. He didn't really have any friends as he much preferred to spend his time alone or by glued to Honeydew's side when she was around.

It was only when he became an apprentice did the reality really hit him with a force. And as much as he tried his best to pretend that the rumours didn't affect him. It is quite clear that they did, and do, bother the young cat. This has made Sunpaw pledged to himself that he will someday be able to ascend to greatness and make his clanmate's see that he so much more than whatever the puny rumours say he is.

@ everyone
i came home a lot later than i expected so i might be another
hour or two until i post. right now im focusing on setting the
mood in the post and i have most of it done. Im in the clean
up stages for a lot of them
