our dear nathan is often regarded as the next captain america for a reason.
like steve rogers himself, nathan has a strict set of morals that shines
through every action of his. he is trustworthy yet cunning, but never
fights dirty to get his way. he's not particularly book smart, but has
an emotional intelligence that allows him to empathize with
everyone, even the villains. his dedication and bravery in the
face of danger is perhaps one of his greatest attributes; nathan
not only has quick-thinking skills but is also the person everyone
turns to when faced with a crisis. despite this, his life in the public
eye has turned him into an extremely insecure teenage boy who is
often painted as the bad guy even when he's the one who saved the
day - the press blames him for any destruction associated with him.
he feels as if he'll never be seen as nathan milton and instead
always as nothing more than captain manhattan.

𝘽𝘼𝘾𝙆𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔

to make a long story short cuz i don't wanna write:
nathan was a bully throughout middle school, but changed his ways
after some kid he made fun of almost killed him with his powers. he
dedicated his life to doing good so something like that would never
happen again. during a bank robbery, he threw himself in front of a
bullet that would have otherwise landed in a woman who just happened
to be a s.h.i.e.l.d. agent. that woman kept tabs on him, and when
s.h.i.e.l.d. wanted to test a new serum, they knew who they were
going to test it on.

𝙋𝙊𝙒𝙀𝙍𝙎

like steve rogers, when nathan was injected by the super
soldier serum, he gained similar abilities that basically made him an
enhanced human being. his senses, agility, and endurance, among
many other attributes, were enhanced by the serum. nathan may not
be as strong or as fast as captain america himself is yet, but he has
the potential to be if he trains hard enough. his greatest skill, in his
opinion, is his combat and his stamina in combat. [ tbc ]

alicia was once such a kind girl filled with optimism and hope. however, the
events in her life forced her into a shell of self-isolation and obsession with
the mob she had been kidnapped by. the only constants were her curiosity
about the world and her determination. in the past, she never hesitated to
ask questions about things she wanted to know, but after the incident she
began keeping her questions to herself and finding answers herself instead
of relying on other people. alicia is also a very focused individual and rarely
gets distracted; if she puts aside her work to do something for someone, they
must be pretty important to her. in spite of this, if she appreciates someone,
she probably won't tell them; she fears vulnerability and can't see herself
connecting with someone else after the death of her parents. she tries to be
nice to people she doesn't know; she believes kindness is the most important
trait for someone to have. however, she also puts a lot of emphasis on first
impressions, and if someone leaves a bad first impression, it takes a while
for her to gain respect back for them. despite her kindness, she never lets
anyone close enough to her to be more than just acquaintances; she truly
is a good person at heart but doesn't want anybody to know.

𝘽𝘼𝘾𝙆𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔

growing up, alicia was a completely normal child. a gifted student and
musician, her parents knew she was destined to do great things.
unfortunately, however, they wouldn't be around to see her succeed.
they had been caught up in some shady business with a mob, and the
mob boss wanted to torture her parents by kidnapping her and her
brother. so, as they were walking home from school one day when
alicia was only a freshman, that's what they did. she and her brother
woke up surrounded by ivs and surgical instruments, but they didn't
have time to realize that they had been experimented on because a
large explosion surged through the room. it was their parents, there
to rescue them, but sadly they hadn't accounted for how great the
blast would be and they were both mortally wounded. the explosion
gave her and her brother time to escape - but alicia was the only one
of them strong enough to rip through the straps holding her down on
the operating table. her brother told her to leave her behind, and
though she didn't want to, she knew it was what she had to do. so she
left the compound - to this day, she's still not exactly sure where she
was - and she would never see her parents again. she found herself
in the neighborhood of hell's kitchen and ran directly into the arms
of the first person she saw - a woman named jessica jones. in normal
circumstances, jessica really wouldn't have cared about the girl, but
she was instead shocked since alicia had nearly managed to topple
her over - she was still standing upright only because of her own
superhuman strength. alicia lived with jessica for the next few years,
investigating the mob and the fate of her brother. she still attended
school, but she lost most of her friends as she spent more time
obsessing over the mob. like jessica, the experiments on alicia
resulted in her gaining super strength, but alicia vowed to never
use her new abilities for any reason. in their investigations, she and
jessica discovered that her brother was now a high-ranking official
in the mob, and after bribing a few former members they learned
that he, too, had the same ability of super strength. unfortunately,
she never got to meet him again, because jessica enrolled alicia in
the stark school as soon as s.h.i.e.l.d. approached her about it.

𝙋𝙊𝙒𝙀𝙍𝙎

the experiments alicia endured resulted in her gaining superhuman strength.
while her strength is constantly developing, she can already lift and push
more than a normal human. she can stop cars from moving, punch through
walls, and bend steel rods with ease, among other things. she also has a
higher pain tolerance than normal humans and has a slightly faster healing
ability than normal humans.

marjorie's steely personality reflects her upbringing: she was taught to be
disciplined, calculating, and alert at all times. bred into this obedient mentality,
marjorie simply follows her instincts and says the first thing that comes to her
head half the time - which is usually something slightly rude and judgmental.
while one can always count on her to be honest, she can also be hurtful. combined
with her bold nature, she tends to make a lot of bad first impressions, but she
doesn't really care that much about what other people think of her. and yet,
people are attracted to her spontaneous nature - she is a party girl, after all.
so, while in combat situations she's quick-minded, perceptive, and clever, in
social settings she's just like any other teenager: pretty careless, blunt, and
sarcastic. those stubborn enough to get past her sarcasm and snark will find
that marjorie is insanely loyal and is always making sure everyone feels included.

marjorie was born into a dynasty. the barons, though known by different
names all over the world, are some of the most well-known monster hunters
in the world, taking down the things that go bump in the night since before
years had numbers. of course, "well-known" in this case means that normal
humans don't know about them - only s.h.i.e.l.d. and those whom the barons
would hunt know who they are because someone has to keep tabs on them.
marjorie was the youngest in her family by a long shot. so, her older brothers
and sisters always received the most training while she was pushed to the side,
regarded as no more than a liability. she used the fact that her family overlooked
her to motivate her training - she taught herself how to fight. [ tbc ]
