Rarity system updated to add 4 new categories!

I think this very true for most of the lower rarities now, but I think with the broadening of the OMGSR tier there will still be plenty of guess work. Pets that were OMGSR before the update are clearly still more rare than the ones that just turned. They weren't rare enough to be considered OMGSR before the update, so there's obviously more of the new random OMGSR horses running around than there are copies of the sunback or other similar pets. I am extremely curious what will happen to those pets considered 'low' lists that turned OMGSR that were maybe VR before. VR was so vast that we couldn't tell anything really, so I'm glad for that.

that’s a fair point about the OMGSRs, i understand that’ll be one of the areas that receive a good deal of research and thought before we have it all sorted out.

As someone that's never cared too much about rarity anyways when it comes to trading, I'm all about this new system. I think spreading out the rarities into more categories was a great idea as a means of keeping things fresh for the website. Sometimes change is nice.

Would we be able to get the numbers on this? Like Common meaning 1 pet in x users, as so on.

This was last answered back in 2009 (as far as I could find), and I wouldn't be surprised if that information was outdated even before this update.

I think it would help give an even better understanding of what the rarities mean... and I'm a lil nerd who likes the numbers.

Thank you so much for the options for the rarity display! I honestly thought I would like the notches best, but apparently my ol' eyes couldn't handle it (or the multi-stars) lol, so I set mine on the bar with single star. As for pets I'm keeping, I'm not worried about them losing a higher rarity since I'm not trading them anyway. My trade-able pets though, I only had a few uncommons and rares go to a lower rarity. Most of my trade-ables gained value. I had zero very rare trade-ables before and now I have eleven, so that's good. None of my rares changed to extremely rare or omg so rares though (in the trading groups I mean). In my common trade group, I had 58 pages of pets and after all the ones moved to the uncommon trade group, I got it down to 45 pages of pets. That was before I went through the uncommon trade group, so the common one gained two extra pages, so it's now at 47 pages. All in all, not too bad.

although this will definitely take a LOT of getting used to for me...I for one am glad to see the UR bee back in the OMGSR category where it BELONGS!!!!

Anyone know if there's a way to not have the text at the bottom? It's a bit hard on my eyes.

oh, WOW! i am surprised to see how many of my pets became rare, even omgsr! needless to say im very pleased lol, and also feeling a bit of dread thinking about trades ive made in the past.... >_> oh well, cant be helped.

and seeing some of the high demand pets not budge at all really goes to show how insane demand can be! hopefully that will be less of an issue now. hopefully. lol

I'm so glad and thankful for all the rarity bar options! The stars were my favourite that were suggested so I'm very happy to be able to use them while everyone who preferred the bars can use those! The rainbow stars really make my OMGSR pets feel more special now. I love it
