for centuries they were entombed in a lush cave within the rock belonging to the rocky mountain ranges, concealed and hidden away by their creators. nobody, human or otherwise, has ever heard of the victims of experiment immortal. i mean, have you ever heard of the experiment? scientists labored over the details and execution of this experiment, and what they created were equine capable of living well beyond one, two — no, even five hundred years of age. these beasts are slow to mature, and live quite similar lives to their "normal" cousins: they are herbavores with a herd mentality, however they seem to establish strict ranks among their peers. a trait found more commonly among humans and apes, these creatures have impeccable learning capabilities and are noted to learn potential uses among herbs and other plants. while they have been held captive for some time, these horses are only growing stronger by the day, and their creators are seemingly unaware of the immense power they possess. whether the humans think the creatures will remain placid and as tame as their domesticated ancestors, or they think they can just use brute force to pin them all in the corner, they are mistaken. these creatures are about to be awakened.

and thus, the strongest. his peers hold him to the
highest scrutiny, but most respect him. he feels an
urgency to remove his family from the grip of the
"mad" scientists, though he struggles with some
insecurities that may hold him back later.

this is a pair of mated equines, which the leader
frequently turns to for advice or wisdom. these
equines are younger than the leader, however the
male in this pair is not far behind the leader in age.
these two find life among the caves to be quite
tiresome, even if they may not quite see the imminent
danger that the experiment can and will inflict
upon the group.

the medics 0/3
led by a single equine, the medics are a rank vital to
the survival of these beasts. the lead medic will
typically only mentor one or two younger equines,
with the exception of the death of a medic apprentice.
these horses focus solely on curing illnesses and
treating wounds, which can include anything from
injection sites to radiation poisoning (just don't
be too graphic, please). these horses may harbor
ill-feelings toward the scientists, and potentially
even plot a potential escape plan, if only they could
convince someone to take them seriously.
