a simple, stripped back roleplay that focuses on character development, plots and stories over huge posts and complicated backstories.

the rules are simple! I. stick to all Tess' rules II. pretty forms are fab but as a simple rp, we focus more on the characters themselves! III. character development is our priority so make sure not to make Mary Sues; characters, like people, should have flaws! IV. plotting and drama is encouraged V. two characters maximum because we want you to really develop them fully. VI. activity is essential in this roleplay! please try and post twice a week. VII. though we are considered a 'simple' roleplay, we do still expect a chunky sized paragraph per post; we're really trying to focus on our characters and their stories! VIII. different sexualities are more than welcome, but for realism, only hetero couples will be able to breed. tensions are at an all time high in stormclan, the only remaining clan fifty years after firestar.

the sudden death of the previous leader, foxstar, has left the clan reeling. his final life was taken by tainted water from the creek that supplies the clan, and he is not the only one to have fallen sick. the new leader is young and inexperienced -- though supposedly foxstar's protege -- and many of the older members of the clan are worried that he does not have what it takes to lead the clan in these dire times. as the pressure to pick a new deputy unfolds, factions in camp divide the cats.

will your cat support the new leader? or will they choose to rebel? and will your cat survive the tainted water?

the main clan is found in a clearing in a thickly wooded area. they sleep in hollowed out trees and in between the roots. they live close to a fast flowing stream that they usually use as their water source. further upstream there is a human camping settlement; the humans have trails through the forest, but hardly ever come down as far as the clan camp. finally, in camp there is a large fallen tree that the leader uses to address their clan.

congrats to wolfheart, the new deputy!
antstar has organised for three groups - one to stay in the clan and
watch over things, another to go on a hunting party further afield
as all the prey is sick, and the last to see if they can seek evidence
of where the sickness is coming from!
