xxxhome of moor and thin trees. rainclan, which lies south of the river,
xxxmakes their home of dense, marsh-like forestry and many streams
xxxthat criss-cross through their stretch of land. both clans are fairly
xxxnew, only having gone through a couple generations since banding
xxxtogether from previously clan-less cats. they have since found
xxxthemselves with countless battles, both unknowing of the future.

xxxsunclan, founded by a tom named sun, has made their home among the moors and thin trees north of
xxxthe river. he was a proud cat who loved the open spaces the hills provided, as well as the trees in
xxxtheir easy-to-climb branches. these cats are nimbly built for running above and below ground, and
xxxhave strong fore-paws for digging and climbing the trees and stone in their territory. they are known
xxxto be very prideful and confident by some, impulsive and vain by others. they feel a stronger
xxxconnection with starclan, being out in the open most of the time and closer to the moon-lit cave.

xxxsunclan's camp is built alongside a cliff wall, dens built along it in caves. The higher the rank the
xxxhigher a cat is along the wall. A small stream runs in the center of camp as a water source, beside a
xxxboulder where the leader calls meetings. to the north of their territory is rather rocky as it leads to
xxxmountains and the moon-lit cave, the center made up of moors, and the sounth & west along the river
xxxmade up of a thin treeline. the east leads to a farm and twolegplace.

xxxrainclan, founded by a tom named rain, sun's brother, has made their home among the watery forestry
xxxsouth of the river. rain was a quieter cat, who preferred the cover of trees and the masking of water.
xxxthese cats are usually stronger all-around with webbed paws to fare in both rivers and clustered
xxxterrain. they are known to be cunning and secretive by some, hostile and manipulative by others.

xxxrainclan's camp is built along the banks between two connecting streams, surrounded by a thick wall
xxxof reeds. almost every den is woven out of those reeds, the nursery protected by an additional layer
xxxof thorns. the leader and medicine cat make their dens out of the roots of a willow tree at the far
xxxend of camp, its branches also used for calling clan meetings. the territory itself is mostly made up
xxxof dense forestry and streams, though the tree coverage gets sparser closer north to the river.
xxxthe west descends into marshlands, the east made up of more and more oaks as the territory makes
xxxits way into a twolegplace.

Basking Rocks
these large sun-warmed stones are found on the border
between sunclan and rainclan at a shallower area of the river,
and are constantly fought over. for sunclan, they provide good
training grounds for apprentices and an actual use for space
alongside the water. for rainclan, the stones provide good
hunting grounds and prevent easy access into their territory.
although, they may also just be fought over as a way to expand
territory and show off. currently, sunclan has control.

Gathering Place
downstream of the river border, the water expands and becomes
deeper. it is of relatively easy access to both clans, rainclan being
able to swim and sunclan able to use stepping stones to reach it.
normally only apprentices and older are chosen for gatherings, and
they happen once a moon.




Moon-lit cave
a cafe found a quarter day's walk from sunclan's northern border,
which allows medicine cats and their apprentices to communicate
and receive prophecies from starclan. medicine cats meet up every
half-moon (first & last quarter) to touch noses with the water inside
the cave, unless disallowed by something in their clan. medicine
cat apprentices receive their full names here as well, and new
leaders are taken to be granted their nine lives.
