Laurens let himself fall quiet as Dany responded to his lamenting of the pack situation. He was never one to intercede when the other was talking and would rather she make sure she was complete in her response before replying. She spoke with the wisdom of a matured wolf and the insight of one who had not experienced the complexity of a pack. These were elements he was grateful for and the wolf cocked his head as he listened to her intently. For a moment he forgot what she was saying and just watched in awe at the wolf he had managed to romance. She continued talking, unaware to his thoughts, her eyes glittering with intelligence and consideration. It was as though from the mere sentences he'd said she had deduced the issue with Folkvar's turmoil and reinforced his pack member's dutiful and loyal attributes. She tugged at some tufts and Laurens gave an offended scoff, "I'm not that bad, surely." He knew he was lying blatantly and to be perfectly honest, he too wasn't enjoying this grime. Laurens was a neat and orderly wolf but the stress of the past few days had made him neglect his own hygiene. Thoughts of cleanliness were cut short when she produced a rabbit. How he hadn't smelled it before was all due to his lack of attention. Or perhaps it was that she was such a good distraction to him. The smell and sight of her could overpower even a meal.

When she ordered them off to the den he sat upright, paws neatly in the centre, waiting for her to turn back and look at him. When she did he gave a tooth-riddled grin, "Have I ever told you you're perfect?" So pleased with the wolf that was his company, Laurens picked up off his spot on the ground and loped after her towards their den. Once again, being small was an advantage. It was spacious to wolves their size and he gave her a grateful nuzzle to her ear as he passed her to enter. He knew she took pride in the place and his paws felt like heaven under the soft cushioning of the moss and feather. It smelled distinctly of Daenerys, making the den all the more feminine - not that Laurens minded. He would consider himself feminine in some places like his mannerisms and speech though this was only active when he was relaxed. When working as an alpha he respected the traditional role of dominant masculinity. "I like what you've done with the place," he joked lightly, wrinkling his snout as she regarded his appearance. "I have too much class to be unclean," he stated with a raise of his chin. Laurens humorous nature was thanks to the fact that he didn't have to maintain power over Dany as she was not part of the pack - instead his equal. He dragged his tongue across one of his paws to lift some dirt but now that it was in sight, he wanted the hare she had captured. "They're fast, you must've done well," he complimented gently and moved to lay on his side to offer her room.

Thinking back to their earlier conversation, he let his tone drop a little further and began with, "With loners like Anubis, the pack like to keep an eye on those outside our authority. So perhaps not a wolf-hunt but they'd definitely want to size you up." Laurens didn't want to frighten Daenerys but he knew she was reasonable and would understand the motives behind what the pack did. "Regarding you joining the pack, I know you don't want to know but I think you should," he added, "what is there not to love about you? You hold experience above every other wolf except me, you're older than even Folkvar. You can stand your own ground should any try to test their boundaries with you- not that they will unless they want to invoke my distaste. You're dutiful, cunning, nurturing and more than ideal for a place among us. Plus they have to love you if you hold my children." The latter part Laurens added in with another grin, batting his tail against the den floor. They hadn't spoken of puppies before due to the fact that Laurens did not want them raised in a loner environment compared to the safety of a pack. But now that it seemed Dany was weighing her future, he wanted to bring them into topic to entice her. "Once we can gather more information from this Omen, a feast would do us good - including a sacrifice which I'm sure Folkvar will insist upon. Afterwards I should like to introduce you."

He was toeing the line of what Daenerys would be okay with. She had lived her whole life following the paw-steps of her parents and now he was asking her to change. As if he could sense her insecurity, Laurens moved closer to her and lay his head to her feet, looking up at her with honest eyes. "I want nothing more than for you to be in my life all the time, Dany, but I understand in order to begin anew you must leave your old ways behind. You'd be making a sacrifice so great in my name and I would cherish your trust in me, never to damage or disrespect it," Laurens let his tongue drag slowly across her leg, lifting his head to nuzzle her lip and fuss over her features. "Daenerys, you are both my strength and my weakness."

He had barley gotten the words out when there was a spark in the air and Laurens immediately jerked his head towards the entrance. His hackles rose up, giving him a full mane that increased his size. He was still laying down but he raised his upper half a little protectively before Daenerys. In his ears he heard the whispering of the air around them, like a god was trying to talk to him. Laurens always followed their guidance when they appeared to him but they had been silent for so long that it seemed unlikely to be them. Believing that it was the forest itself and his connection to his pack, the wolf let his mane flatten but he glanced nervously to Daenerys, "I think there may be something happening." He said nothing more, soothing his nerves. By duty he should go and find the source that the land was warning him of but he was with Daenerys and to run off would mean having her accompany; not a good idea. Not to mention he was confident in the unity of his pack and both Folkvar and Onyx's leadership. These thoughts settled him right down and he gave an exasperated laugh, "Perhaps I do need a break." Snapping his jaws in the direction of the food she had produced, never one to eat before the hunter did, Laurens shuffled closer to her and flirtatiously nipped at her neck. "What do you say we eat then find a water source?"

DAENERYS ──xi do believe it is time for another adventure.❞
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
❰ loner ❱ ❰ female ❱ ❰ 6½ ❱ ❰ status: almost in season ❱ ❰ crush: Laurens ❱ ❰ tags: Laurens. ❱ ❰ mentions: Anubis ❱
Lauren's toothy grin caught her eye and she raised a brow, casting a glance over her shoulder and looking over her pelt as if something were on it to cause such a grin. As soon as his sweet words filled her ears she could feel her cheeks grow hot and her nose wrinkled along the blackened bridge of her muzzle ever so slightly. Such a wrinkle was the only way to tell if she was lying, angered, or flattered. Daenerys wasn't a vain wolf in any sense of the matter, most of the time she brushed compliments off with a flattered expression, much akin to the one that fell upon her face now. Dany had never really thought much of herself, she came from a long line of small wolves, she'd bear small pups. Her coloring was quite abnormal. No where on her pelt did it convey the usual markings of a wolf. Her face being mostly white, barring the sooty black blaze along the bridge of her muzzle and rims of her ears. Dense speckling in the center of her face between her eyes of the golden-brown color that striped right behind her shoulders and faded down her rump into the same creamy-white color that made up most of her pelt. On a rare occasion of somewhat accepting the compliment she smiled at him, her head dipped slightly as she set the rabbit down to reply. "You think too highly of me Laurens, but if you insist who am I to say you're wrong?" She said softly before lifting her head once more to watch him slip into the small den.

She wavered outside for a few moments, she was besotted by him and he seemed the same with her. When she was younger she was sure she'd likely live her life alone, most males didn't want a small female to look after who'd either bear them small pups or die trying to birth average sized ones. Yet here she had managed to get a male who told her she was perfect and behaved gently with her. Yet she still refrained from him, pulling away and yet tiptoeing into a future with him in his pack? It would seem that catapulting into an Alpha position in a pack would be be everything a loner could want. Yet she didn't lust after a ranking or power, she wanted him. With a sigh she shook the thoughts away, leaning down to grasp the rabbit in her jaws. Even then she displayed a profound level of gentleness with the hare, her bite now didn't so much as pierce the skin of the clean kill. The only resident wounds on the rabbit is one set of bite marks, Vor always seemed to watch over her hunts and she routinely made clean, quick, and painless kills. Perhaps that is because she gave sacrifices to Vor as well as Hati. Various buried pieces of prey were littered around the area she regularly roamed, larger prey for Hati and smaller prey for Vor, they were her own gifts to the gods. She didn't have an official place to put her offerings so she made due and the Gods seemed to take that into consideration. Slipping into the den behind Laurens she was grateful she was a petite wolf, the entrance barely left room for Laurens to enter and that meant larger wolves would be unable to enter, as it would be far too tight for them to squeeze into.

The den smelled of her, as is to be expected. After each visit with Laurens if they ventured into the den she spent a good 5 minutes or so afterwards rubbing her scent into every nook and cranny to hide his. Her ears perked at his praise and her tail wagged behind her gently, setting the rabbit nearer to him she sat down, her tail coming to her side as her gaze settled on him and his wrinkled up nose. A thrum of laughter came from her and she sighed, "Well then it seems your class has betrayed you, and badly too I'm afraid." Her voice carried a light tease to it and she nodded to his own licking of his paws. It seemed that when she was around him her soft smile never left her muzzle. Upon his own shifting she got up, pausing suddenly to nip at her flank, removing a small downy feather from her fur whom's sharp quill threatened to scratch her skin. Satisfied at removing the unwelcome intruder out of her pelt she padded towards him, circling for a few moments before she laid down beside him. She kept her head raised, moving her muzzle about his pelt and gently plucking out dead tufts of fur, revealing his silvery coat that laid beneath it. She gave a hum to his praise, "Vor herself seems to watch over my hunts quite frequently. I think it might have to do with my gifts to her. I've found she's fond of rodents." She replied, a bit embarrassed to admit that she gave offerings to a God besides Hati. Soon after she spoke she busied herself with the preening of his pelt, moments like these were the most intimate she had allowed for and she let herself slip into a thoughtless expanse for a soft while. Her very being and the den around them seemed to glow with the love and gentle affection between the two, it brought a sense of security and comfort over her.

So soon after she had slipped into the quietness of the moment it had been broken, initially she was going to continue her work but the name Anubis caused her head to snap up and her ears slammed forward atop her skull. Even if she'd never discussed it with Laurens Dany held a great fear for that loner in her heart. Even if Daenerys feared little and could hold her own she knew she'd be unable to come out of an altercation with that heartless monster even if she tried her hardest. She may be small but when she needed to be she could hold her own for awhile in a fight, but Anubis seemed driven by hatred and stunk of decay that Fenrir himself couldn't possibly match. With a wolf like him wandering around this territory no wonder his pack would like to keep close tabs on her. She had a habit of interrupting others during talking but now it seemed as if all she could do was listen further to him attentively, "...Plus they have to love you if you hold my children." The very mention of puppies threw Dany's body and mind into over-drive. Since the span of their relationship she had come into her heat twice, both times she promptly left the territory. Far enough away that he couldn't search her out even if he had tried. The first because she simply wasn't sure of him, it was a time before they had grown so close and the second..she was unsure of herself. She wasn't aware if he knew of her previous heats but she wouldn't bring them up.

The grin on his face that followed along with the wag of his made her smile and her heart swell. It wasn't until she heard two thumps that she noticed her own tail smacking against the floor of their den. She has wanted puppies since a young age, not even from a sense of having her lineage carried on, but because she adored them. Specifically the early stages of their lives, when they are so innocent to the world and vulnerable. "Puppies?" she cooed softly, a smile encased her muzzle. The idea of her carrying Lauren's children made her want to squeal with giddiness. How marvelous would that be? Certainly she'd either look very strange or very cute when pregnant. She watched her own mother carry a litter of pups before she left and her mother told her that Stormborn females carry pups very heavily and swollen. Like a walking boulder with legs. She laid her head on Laurens, her ears laid back and her muzzle in a wide smile. "You'd want me to carry your pups?" She cooed softly, following it up with elated licks that oozed with affection to his cheeks and chin. She was so far into her own mind and happiness about him even bringing up puppies the words of his next phrase took quite some time to pass through her ears and to her brain. He wanted to introduce her to his pack. She withdrew, fear finally broke through her gaze,

As she stepped back it was no sooner that he neared her with that gaze of his. His eyes peering into her with an outpouring of honesty. She listened to his words with great consideration, they melted her heart and she was weak to him. Yet she'd be betraying her humble heritage. Her family was one of few pure loner bloodlines left, they worked closely with packs in harmony and she'd be here breaking it. She drew a line between herself and her Gods but where would she draw the line between herself and her ancestors? "Laurens..I'd be betraying my ancestors.. Everything they worked for to create a good name of my bloodline. I-I don't know." She responded, she could feel her gaze sting slightly with unshed tears of conflict within herself and confusion. Before this moment she hadn't had to truly face her decisions, to decide what her fate would be, what their fate with their relationship would be. As he fussed over her she returned the affection, the clarity in her heart and deep in her subconscious had finally spoken past her own pride in her heritage and upbringing. "You're my weakness and strength too Laurens, I'll join but I can't soon. My heat is to be upon me any day now and with the Omen circulating your pack I doubt such a distraction is needed." She confided in him, unaware of how he'd take such news.

Preparing to delve back into her thoughts a slight tingle at the base of her skull brought her attention and a ridge of hair from the top of her neck, down her entire back, and along her tail bristled. Her hackles never raised unless something was awry and a full crest of fur stood rigid atop her petite frame. As Laurens rose slightly in front of her it only reassured her decision to join him and his pack. He'd make sure she stayed safe he had a pure heart, with good intentions. The God's never exactly spoke to her, not even so much as a whisper in her ear but she always felt that slight tingle when something was wrong, and by the Gods something was going on. She ducked her head to peer under Laurens' frame, her gaze that usually resembled warm pools of honey were now hardened and filled with a mix of fear and tangible aggression. It was a very rare occurrence that she grew aggressive but something pulled it out of her, something bad. Even as Laurens calmed she didn't, her fur remained bristled but she laid back down, her gaze still trained warily on the entrance to their burrow like den. It wasn't until he gave a soft laugh that she eased and she curled tighter towards him now. He finally agreed to take a break, a small vacation of sorts. She knew it would only be for a a while but anything was better than nothing. To her own surprise he had began to nip at her neck in a flirty manner and she smiled, getting up and circling infront of him to lay down once more. She reached out and rubbed her own cheek against his, effectively letting his scent coat her own, it was an almost primal desire that had been satiated in her to smell of him, even if she'd wash it off later she wanted the world to know what she was his and vice versa. Her trance was soon broken by his mention of eating and then seeking out a nice drink. Nodding she sat up, twisting around to grasp the rabbit and nudge it closer to him, "I'm sure Vor will oversee my hunts once more, you eat your fill. I know where the prey likes to linger and I can fill my own belly later." She cooed softly, licking at her paws to clean them of any dirt that muddied them.

𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙨 ✧❱ position: alpha !! statistics: 7 ♂ !! tags&mentions: daenerys, folkvar, salem, ophelia, isorro
The alpha was a generally transparent character. He never did anything was hidden intent or a double meaning. When he had mentioned puppies he had been pretty forthcoming on the fact that he wanted her to see them as a possibility if she joined the pack. He wanted them no matter what position the two of them were in but he'd prefer her to be within his realm of protection if she did fall pregnant. Laurens hadn't voiced it but Dany's sway over him was powerful enough to have the male defect. Should she have honestly asked of him to leave the pack, he was so sure in his commitment to her that he would. But like his counterpart, it would tear Laurens' sense of identity to leave behind his pack. With this in mind he was all the more sensitive of what he was asking her to do. It just seemed more logical that she come with him. Laurens was the territory's most powerful wolf, proven by his rank, but he also kept strength from the support of his pack. Leaving that would make him vulnerable to many dangers including the vengeance of Anubis. Flicking his mind back onto the matter of puppies, Laurens too thought of their past time together and how it would've been likely Daenerys would have come into heat in that time. He recalled having searched for her for around nine days and had found no trace of her. Howling had been out of the option for fear of being discovered and so he had been forced to await her return. He didn't remember a second time but assumed it early in their relationship when he hadn't been so adamant on seeing her as frequently as he did now. Glancing over at her he wondered if she was still uncomfortable with the idea of him mating with her but he spotted her smiling features and knew it had been a good time to mention them.

He nodded as she questioned his statement. It was natural instinct that brought both male and female to long for them and now that Laurens was in his prime, he was in a place to raise them strong. Usually only the alpha pair mated and their litter was cared for by the entire pack in order to maximise their chances of surviving. Laurens had worked hard for his rank and rested comfortably knowing his pack would help Daenerys in every way should she fall pregnant. Laurens himself was nosy and it being his first litter, he would want to be involved. However he knew many she-wolves took it as a solo mission and Laurens was simply required to bring the necessities like a messenger. Still, he hoped Daenerys would allow him an active role should they end up going through with it. Thinking of the short wolf with a litter inside her brought amusement to Laurens' features. Their children would likely be the same as them; small, if not more than their parents. Laurens knew the issue of being a small male, he was often underestimated and the usual of his size were easily beaten in battle. It took a strong will and drive to make it as a less-than-average-height wolf. Still, he held confidence in his blood and Dany's. Neither seemed to carry disease nor frames short of any features. They were both well proportioned and their lighter coats would produce pups of fine appearance. Thinking too far into it, Laurens blinked at her with a breathy chuckle, "Of course I do. It would bring me a lot of happiness to start a family with you."

Their day dreaming happiness didn't last long as Laurens, always in the present and reasonable, mentioned her straying from her inherited path. He felt his gut twist at even bringing it up and the wolf whined quietly out his mouth as she spoke. Her turmoil made Laurens restless and he rose before laying back down if just to release some tense energy in his legs. She reciprocated his affection which managed to smooth his anxiety out a little and the wolf tilted his head to look thoughtfully at the bedding beneath his paws. "You don't know but my mother Kozen died at the hands(paws?) of her own pack," he grasped for something to relate to her struggle and found that this story closely coincided with the task of forging your own path. Yet as soon as he uttered the sentence he wanted to retract them, the story touching on his nerves and his usually well-guarded heart. "She was devoutly religious to the gods and highly favoured among them. So much so that she apparently," Laurens gave a slight roll of his eyes and accentuated the word 'apparently', "copulated with Skoll. The product being me, I was a single litter pup which just promoted this wild tale. I was raised with this story and with her spiritual guidance. I had a legacy to uphold in terms of being a follower of the gods. Her own relatives before her were equally in tune and she had heavy expectations of me." Laurens cast Daenerys a long look, doing his best to restrain the emotion from his eyes, "If I had followed her path then I would have not met you. If I had chosen my hereditary duties I would just be another bastard puppy with no independence, looking to the gods for permission to piss and eat. In fact we would probably not get along. You, a lone wolf with a nomadic habit and me, a pack wolf with no identity other than the one I was given. It taught me that sometimes you have to take your name for yourself rather than rely on your ancestors to approve it for you."

Out of breath from all his rambling, Laurens flicked his ears back sheepishly. "Long story short I lost Kozen because she believed she was to be a meal for Hati whom was sending visions of war to our shaman. I hold a deep respect for the gods and their doings, they have spoken to me personally. But their influence is so powerful it sends my pack scurrying and my mother to her death. My bloodline does the same to me, it would have me tied to the careless gossip of a god than to the reasoning of that before me," the wolf shifted nervously, so unaccustomed to this much talking, "I believe your ancestors appreciated the independent thought of being a loner. Being in a pack doesn't strip you of what they taught you."

Skip past the antics of the threat of danger in the air and Laurens had lost his restlessness in replacement of comfort. He had seen the way she had reacted as he had and smiled quietly to himself. The forest and the gods told him when his pack was in danger, for Dany to sense it too was a good sign. He observed her stature and how it took more effort for her to settle like he had. Laurens was a generally confident wolf. Though not outwardly cocky, he granted himself safety through assurance of his position, health and dominance. For a loner or omega, to be so arrogant would to be challenging danger and death. He had seen that same expression on her when he had mentioned Anubis. Thinking of the wolf near her sparked a masculine sense of aggression that he hadn't felt before. Possessiveness. Laurens didn't like the feeling and wished Naja to take it away. Shortly after she was nudging against him and the scent glands by his cheeks reacted, the wolf engaging in the head rubbing with growing interest in her. His precaudal gland released pheromones that indicated Laurens' arousal around her and soon the den was a thick dungeon of the two's flirtations. He was in a playful mood from it and shook his fur out, "Any day now, hm?" he said slyly, reviving her comment about her heat. It was not like a male wolf to let those things slip over his head unnoticed. The heat generated from the two of them allowed him to pant lightly in the den, feeling pretty pleased with himself in having her attention. "I actually welcome a distraction. I know I'll need to deal to Folkvar at some point to sort out a plan of action but other than that, all I do is send the others on patrols to tire them and wear down their fear and unrest."

Laurens felt that he often acted not only as an alpha but a peacekeeper, especially for wolves like Ophelia and Salem who were more open to being riled up. Toning down his courting of the she-wolf, Laurens gnawed her chin lightly in gratitude - like a pup might - when she offered the food. The crunch of the rabbit's weak bones made Laurens shift closer to the food in order to hold it down with a paw. He intended to send the lot out on a large hunting trip to get them something more sustainable than rodents but to do that he needed to gather the pack, have Folkvar ask Vor for their blessing and actually track - which could take days. Daenerys' meal to him now was deeply appreciated because of these factors. "She must truly favour you, you have such accurate aim," he commented as he dug his muzzle under ribs to tear out more flesh. It became apparent that he was more in need of a bath now than before as his grey muzzle was splashed with a dark, umber red and Laurens gnashed his fangs to keep flesh from getting stuck.

The wolf offered some to Dany knowing she'd politely refused in the beginning but he still felt she needed to eat. Always caring for him. As he did he said lightly, "I think I will have to kick Salem from our pack. He doesn't do his share of work and undermines me whenever he can," it was almost like dining table conversation, just light statements to weigh in on, "I don't want any trouble if you decide to meet them, from both malicious loners and vengeful omegas. Though I fear Ophelia has feelings for him." Thinking of the she-wolf, Laurens felt himself go warm. He and Ophelia were not similar in nature but again, his mediating personality had allowed them to bond and for him to act as ice to cool her off when she was frustrated. He felt he had to monitor her health as she worked without regards to her body. This supervising had let Laurens get past her defenses and become someone she trusted - though not to the extent he was with Isorro; a wolf who was like a best friend and brother to the alpha. Laurens didn't want to see Ophelia go to Salem before he had proven himself, nor did he like the idea of him swaying her loyalty when she had worked so hard to fit into the pack's routine. Just thinking about it made the alpha grumble to himself and he sat up, sweeping his tail around him. "When you're ready we can head to the stream, perhaps? Or the river as the wolves don't often go there. Then I believe I will have to depart to make sure no one is slacking off," Laurens said gently, thinking vaguely to a future when she could accompany him back.

      ANUBIS !!
      ▸ male ▸ 6½ ▸ loner ▸ tag: zuri, albatross, thanatos, folkvar words: 614
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Anubis would cackle upon hearing Zuri's response, "And how would you know that?" the brute would leer, raising his head above his shoulders once more. "You've never been led by me," Anubis' ears lowered against his crown, another wolf from the pack barged his way in, Anubis hadn’t known who he was, but he had seen him before. They were roughly the same in size, but this one wasn’t as beaten and scar ridden as Anubis was. He looked young, as well. "Well you aren't a pack wolf, so what are you doing here?" Anubis chuckled quietly, all of these wolves, questioning his motives, his authority that he would soon have. He mentally took note of each and every little move these pack wolves did, every little subtle behavior that wasn’t so subtle to Anubis. He decided to ignore Thanatos’ almost completely, and focus on Zuri. “Besides, don’t you think someone who could properly run a pack to be better? After all, I would be questioning the loyalty of an alpha who has a secret tryst with a loner,” Anubis’ satin lips curled up into a wry sort of grin, his ears lowered back against his skull.

Had Laurens’ pack members even been aware of his secret relationship with a loner? Oh, this could be quite fun. Anubis had known about it, known how he would sneak off to meet the little fae. Anubis didn’t know much about the other loner, however, not even her name, but he did notice the glances, the way they brushed up against each other, he knew all too well what that meant. Anubis allowed a soft chuckle to escape his maw, “Oh, do none of you know about that? Do none of you know the reason Laurens’ sneaks away so often? Or do you all just not care enough to question it?” rolling his shoulders, he cracked a few of his joints, he decided he would leave for now, and come back a few days later after these group of wolves settled down. "Anubis, I thought we'd decided long ago you would remain outside of this pack's territory," Folkvar began, "You're battle stained coat tells me that your ways haven't changed and if they haven't then there is no place for you here." Anubis turned sharply on his heels, his lips curled up to bare his fangs. “We?” He chuckled, poking his tongue out to lap around his drying lips - they’d be better soaked in blood, but, who’s blood today? “I don’t remember you, what’s your name?” Not that Anubis cared at all what his name was. Playful banter, you could call it.

“You know nothing of my ways, or my reasons, strange that you question my motives when you don’t even know the motives of your own alpha. But, I guess that doesn’t matter, does it?” His ears twisted above his head, the cawing of ravens exploding out from a tree ringing in his ears. “I’ll leave just this once, don’t expect me to comply next time, I was minding my own business before Zuri and her friend came along.” And with that, he gave the pack wolves no chance to talk back, quickly, he turned on his heels and leaped over the brush. And he was gone. He would give them the satisfaction of feeling like they chased him off, just for now. As he left the pack’s main camp, he trotted towards the Overlook, stepping gracefully over jagged rocks and pebbles, this was where the pack often made their offerings to the gods. He craned his head to look over his shoulder towards the direction he just came.

“May Fenrir rein destruction upon you,”

With a forced nod to his Shaman Thanatos turned, only to see Zuri with a goofy look on her face with the flowers hanging out of her mouth. He was very displeased that the fae was so eager to get the flowers that she just stormed in and got them, rather than waiting for the situation to die down. He made no reaction to her nudging him, though in his mind he was slightly confused at the gesture, was it just friendly? What was friendly? He turned back around as Anubis started talking to the Shaman, “I’ll leave just this once, don’t expect me to comply next time, I was minding my own business before Zuri and her friend came along.” Thanatos scoffed to himself once the brute had left, anger boiling inside him. Was what he said of their alpha true? Surely it couldn't be, this wolf was just using it to cause chaos between the pack members and their alpha, make them disloyal, so he would have it easier. No, Thanatos decided the old, scarred wolf was full of lies, he was deceptive, doing the only thing he knew how to survive.

Forcing all thoughts from his mind Thanatos turned to Zuri and Albatross,
"I will bring you two back to camp, before continuing my patrol." His voice was deep, calm yet commanding, for only being 3 he acted more mature than his age in most situations. The brute motioned with his large head for the two faes to walk in front of him, he would follow them all the way back to camp before going back out on his own patrol. Thanatos looked at the two females, they were so different, Zuri was much smaller, she always seemed to be worrying about something and he wondered what his presence in their previous situation made her feel. Calm? At ease? Stressed? More nervous than ever? For some reason he did quite like the worrying little fae, but he wouldn't ever admit it aloud. Then he looked at Albatross, her size and coat with dark eyes were intriguing to him. Though she was a tad creepy and just silently followed everyone, he didn't really mind though. He actually preferred silent company some times.

Salem laughed at her silly face at his comment. Both exhausted wolves, feeling her body go limp and her weight on his while he carried her back to where they planned to rest. Salem tilted his head and pinned his ears back and snorted. "Grandpa?! I'm no grandpa!" he shouted out in a laughing manner. Watching her legs stretch out, after he plopped her down. "Rabbits are pretty good.. That's why i'm pretty overweight.." he joked and looked at her. Salem was far from overweight in fat, but much in muscle mass. It often slowed him down.

Ophelia being one of the few that valued having him around and treating him like an equal. It always warmed his heart a little. The friendship and bond they had could never be replaced. Salem had much gratitude, and appreciation for her. Ophelia would do almost anything for him, and it was the same way around. Salem wouldn't bond so easily, or help anyone else in the pack as quickly as her. Favoring her the most out of everyone surrounding them.

Salem watched her trot over to him, and curl up on him. Ophelia laying on his long front legs and burying herself in his neck. Caught off guard with the affection he didn't know exactly how to react. Somewhat tense for a couple minutes, but then his whole body relaxed. He rested his head on her back, it was so much softer and comfier than the rocks he usually slept on. Salem kicked his back legs out. Relaxed, and comforted with how he was laying. And who he was laying with. Odd, and not questioning Ophelia's sudden affectionate and soft side. His eyes slowly fluttering close and falling asleep all snugged up to her. Never sleeping so close to another wolf, it was oddly calming and making it much easier to fall asleep. Less tense than he normally is. Curling his body around her in a way that he was protecting her. Not letting anything touch her while they dozed off.

Zuri took back from what Anubis said about Laurens and another rouge. Hearing that she lowered her head in thought, was it true? Was the alpha with a rouge? Why did he run off in a rush so often? How did Anubis know all of this? How could they trust what he had to say. That was just it, they couldn't. Mumbling, flowers in her mouth but stil being able to understand. "You're just some rouge, one with a bad past that tried to take Laurens down before. This is probably one of your schemes i'm sure." Not trusting this lone male one bit. What he had to say had to be a lie, the alpha wouldn't act that way to the pack or hide anything from them. Especially right now. Not during the hard times that are falling all around their paws.

Zuri watched the rouge run off and rolled her eyes annoyed. The flowers hanging from her mouth, she was quite eager to get these flowers before that rouge stomped over them, and they became virtually useless. The blood flower being hard to come by, once destroyed loses all its purpose. Holding it by its roots, and eager to have it. she flicked her tail, seeing Thantos give her a displeasing look. Pinning her ears to her head and snorted. Thantos was more of a warrior than her, and not understanding the importance of some herbs. Listening to his words, saying he'd take them back to camp before he patrolled. Zuri couldn't stand being around rouges. All this over some rare flower, something they needed. Zuri looked at Thantos, her eyes shimmering and ready to go. Once that rouge left she felt much more relaxed and had way too much excitement. He was another issue in there pack, everything else going on they didn't need to worry about this.

Onyx laid on the warm rock, soaking up whatever little sun leaked through the trees. Which wasn't much anymore. Her eyes closed and lost in thought, as usual. A slight daydreamer. It seemed like everything started changing more and more. The sun came out little now, and food was scarce. Onyx stretched her legs out and watched the water once again. When she heard a voice from behind her. Soft, and not hostile or aggressive. The beta quickly stood to her feet and turned around to view the face behind the voice. Onyx stood shorter than the rouge, but much more built. Onyx couldn't do much, this was barely consider there territory. Other than complying, can't chase a rouge off lands they didn't own. Onyx knew that she'd meet rouges on her trips here, but it was a risk she was wiling to take. Loving this place more than anything on there lands. Looking at the fae, they were polar opposites. Onyx being ebony, so dark that she could hide among anything other than her golden honey eyes. So bright and almost seemed like they were glowing. While the rouge, silver and grey. So much more brighter and glowing, but darker eyes.

Standing above the lake she titled her head at the fae. "Hello," her icy tone could cut bones. But that was just her voice itself. No bad intentions one bit. Onyx looked at the female up and down, and squinted her eyes. Curious why she was out here all alone. The tight, and scarce forest had nothing to offer living on your own. "What are you doing out here all by yourself? Do you have anyone else? Anything else?" she asked in a loud voice, almost echoing. Her point to be made. The omen upon the pack, and land itself. This fae served no harm, and was curious why'd she be out on her own? What if the evil comes for the lands and she can't stand up for herself? Being all alone in a vulnerable time wouldn't be the smartest thing to do. Onyx always valued a pack around her, rather than the loner life. Not wanting anything to do with that, she only wanted stability.

Onyx could see nothing but dark trees looming over them, and the lake. She could see part of the overlook but only a few points and jagged rocks. Seeing something in the corner of her eyes, she turned her head swiftly. A large, ebony coated male was there. Same color as her, but that's all she could see. Wondering what they were doing on the overlook. Too big to be Thantos, and pinned her ears back. Trying to shake off a dark feeling she turned back to the lone female. Awaiting the answers to the few questions she asked. She couldn't decide to keep her eyes on her, or the weird wolf on her packs overlook. She wondered if they could see the two from so high up. Were they at an unsee angle? Was the evil a reincarnated wolf? A shadow among them? One that looked similar too her? She pinned her ears back in thought. Glancing back and forth to the female, and overlook.

Thanatos, hardly acknowledged Zuri’s snort of annoyance towards him. Instead he curled back his lips ever so slightly, baring the very ends of his teeth at both females in hopes his aggravation would get them moving. He didn’t want to lead them there because if he did any branches that he hit would most likely swing back and hit them both as they couldn’t walk three wide until they were nearly to camp, “come on, lets go.” He nudged Zuri’s hip before nipping at her heels, “this is no time to throw attitude at a rouge.” Thanatos turned to look at the Shaman once more, before following the two faes at a distance.

Effortlessly jumping over a log on their way back, Thanatos was looking for more entertaining paths. The walk was quiet, Albatross never said really anything and Zuri’s mouth was full. He jumped up onto a boulder and looked around at their surroundings. They were nearly to camp now and he debated just turning around and heading off on his patrol once more,
“do either of you know where Issoro and Kesera might be? I’d like to meet up with them to discuss what happened over here.” Thanatos decided that it was best to find the other two wolves instead of just turning around here so he jumped down from his perch. His muscular body landing quietly on the ground. For such a large wolf, it was a miracle he could be so quiet. He padded up to the females slightly and was off to their right, rather than behind them. Every so often he would steal glances at Zuri prancing proudly with her flowers. And then the thought of Anubis would come back to his mind and his blood would once again start to boil. All he really wanted to do was take a good bite out of the rouge, Thanatos hadn’t been in a fight in a while and was almost eager to start one himself.

Once he could see camp Thanatos padded up in front of the others, in hopes he would see Issoro and Kesera, but to no luck. Instead he found Ophelia and Salem, and Thanatos nearly choked on his own tongue. He scoffed and shook his head in disbelief before turning around to make sure Zuri and Albatross were right behind him.
“Alright, this is as far as I go. I need to find the other two and possibly go back to see where Folkvar is and if he’s on his way back.” Thanatos had no doubt in the Shaman, but he wanted to make sure that if there was a fight, he was in the center of it. “I’ll see you both later, if Issoro and Kesera show up, please let them know I’m looking for them.” He kept his deep voice at its usual volume, not caring about waking Salem, though he did want Ophelia to get some rest. Thanatos turned on that note, and headed back into the forest.

Nyx studied the pack female, she hadn’t ever run in to her.“I’m just passing through, I’m all alone, no need to be alarmed.” She noticed the other wolf kept looking in another direction and wondered if there was something going on that she should be aware of, “I’m Nyx. I’ve been around the area for quite some time now, how haven’t I run into you before?” She stood, she could tell that she was taller than the other fae, though not as muscular. This would most likely make for a faster escape, but she knew she wasn’t really on the pack’s true territory yet. Nyx continued to study the female, she had a very dark coat with some very bright honey colored eyes. Nyx licked her maw, a clear sign that she was very relaxed and didn’t feel threatened.

“Is something going on over there or…?” She was confused as to why the female wouldn’t keep her eyes on her, being that she was a new presence and they hadn’t ever crossed paths, “are you okay? You look worried.” Nyx had noticed the female’s ears were pinned back, she wasn’t as relaxed as Nyx, something was for surely off balance here. She cocked her head to the side and furrowed her brow, awaiting a response from the female. Though patient, she was also eager to understand, plus she felt a little disrespected and she hated that. Nyx scented the air, trying to catch a scent of any intruders or anything out of the ordinary but could smell nothing but the female standing in front of her. She flicked her tail in annoyance, and her ears twitched whenever a bird would chirp behind her.

She padded over to the lake to get a drink, and wash of her maw, she stepped in the cool water to wash her paws off as well. She hated when dirt and mud clung to the fur in between her pads, it was quite annoying to say the least. Once content she turned around, trying to see what the other female could see, but to no avail as she was not perched on the same rock.

Re: ── ‘ the uninvited

"Knock it off Zuri." Her reprimading voice low and gutteral. Had she no sense of self preservation, talking like that to someone she clearly feared? Goodness, she was pushing it. Though, in that the omega was herself pushing things. It was usually frowned upon for a lower member to speak in such a way to any above them. But really... The ghostly beast sneared a little, momentarily watching the small white fae bound forward after the flower and return. She was very pup like, which Albatross found both confusing and calming to be around. But not right now. Not in this situation. With how they were all acting, she wished very much for Zuri to stop. The more she said, the more at danger Albatross felt that she was in, the more tense she became. Muscles tightened like springs, ready to launch into action. She relaxed a little as Zuri came behind them, but that was short as the flora collector pushed into her. "Don't- She snarled, but quickly regained her composure. Now was not the time to be acting like a puppy.

Ears again drew back against her skull as the dark vagabond spoke, voice like poison, dripping slowly from his maw. She considered his words, considered the loners she had come across, and could only think of one. Had the small fae mentioned the alpha during their scattered conversations? Albatross was almost certain that she hadn't, so maybe there was no reason to worry. But... She could have been wrong by the scent. Spending much of her time in the salty waves had had an ill effect on her sense of smell. Or, that was her theory as to why it had decreased over time. She could still differentiate between species, but many older scents that other wolves picked up on she couldn't smell at all. And the ones she could pick up on were muddied a bit, making it harder to tell who smelled like what. Albatross had noted that sometimes Daenerys' tree smelled of the alpha, or perhaps just of someone in the pack and she was blending the two. She had moved closer to the loner before even realizing it, being drawn in by his words even as she was repulsed by him and his almost toxic manner. Head raised again and a low growl formed in her throat, more like the grumble of a lion than any sound a wolf would make.

Albatross whipped her head around as Zuri spoke again. Why was she talking in such an antagonizing way to a wolf that could destroy her? It was clear that Zuri knew it, so why? Yes in this time she was surrounded by wolves that would tear into the dark male at a moment's notice, but what about if he caught her alone? What if Thanatos and Folkvar had not arrived? What if Albatross hadn't followed? Even with her own size and capabilities, she didn't know the strength of this wolf. There was no telling of whether she could have stopped him alone. Two, that makes two. Two she-wolfs she would be checking up on, two to watch out for. Was this seriously happening? This wolf disappears for years it sounds like, and returns not long after she arrived? Maybe she really was a bad omen, the slight breeze that warned of a treacherous storm rolling in. No, no those packs were all having problems before I arrived. This one did too, is all. Hopefully this time she wasn't blamed for it. Again she kept quiet as the dark shadow retreated through the bush, though for a few paces she moved after him. Rather against the orders she could hear Thanatos barking at them. Albatross did not follow him far, but continued to watch him go, dark eyes narrowed and expression hard.

Finally she turned her head back, looking to each of the three. She should really have listened immediately to his order, but her paws wouldn't budge. Really, she didn't want to budge without some sort of answers. If the Shamen had not been among them, she may have even refused and followed the ragged male. But as things were, she would not risk whatever punishment that might have followed. The pearly she-wolf signed, forcing the tension from her limbs and setting them into motion. She did not go far before turning back again toward the brush. "How do plants heal, then?" She asked the Shamen, voice grave enough to make the reasoning for her question cleae. Obsidian gaze shifted to Folkvar for a moment before nervously dropping away and then back to the woods. Was it her place to ask specific questions about what was going on? There had been so much said, and yet she felt she still didn't know much. But this, this seemed like something important to know now.

Again she turned as Thanatos spoke to Zuri, pulling her brain back from it's hyper focus to what he had ordered before. It seemed she would not receive her answer. Reluctantly the white she-wolf tore away from her stance, coming up alongside Zuri. Her head remained higher than it should have been, the muscles in her jaw still tight as teeth held firmly together. 6She doubted she'd be able to feel anything other than a protective instinct around her for some time following this. Albatross looked back at the lingering male for a moment, wondering if he would stay and do what she wished to have done herself. But she would not stay long, and moved with Zuri back toward the camp. How she hated being escorted, though. She didn't need to be herded like prey.

Ooc: Shoot I can't type fast enough XD hold on, I'm gonna edit it a bit. Not sure how yet D8
Edit: yup! Phone is done! Sorry, gotta leave it like it is. She.would go back to the camp though, and probably pace about like an angry lion XD

Zuri pinned her ears back to her head. Both of them snapping at her, she bared her teeth at both of them. Very rare that someone gets under her skin like that. "because he has no reason to even kill me. I hold no importance to what he wants. Do I look like an alpha?" she spoke mumbled with her mouthful and her brows furrowed. Her tone showed annoyance, and lack of interest in what they had to say. Zuri hadn't remembered a time someone got to her like that. She sighed and followed them both towards the den.

Lashing her tail in annoyance she held her head up high, and trotted in front of them Ahead of the two, who had no idea what any of the herbs and flowers do for them. Taking for granted everything that they could do, just to think she was acting out of line. Snorting to herself, she stayed quite the whole time. Regardless it's hard to talk with a mouthful of flowers and herbs. Zuri glanced back at them both and held her head up high trotting off. Having nothing to say to them, and they're little attitudes. Appreciative of the protectiveness, and caring but not of the lack of intelligent with what she had and knew.

Zuri went towards the den, her small frame gracefully leaping up onto a higher up rock. Were her and the shaman stored what they'd find. Scrambling to get them stored up there before anything distracted her. Placing them up there, she looked down at Albatross and Thantos. Hearing him speak of how he needed to find Isorro or Kesera. Zuri shrugged her shoulders, unsure. Still pretty upset at how they reacted to what amazing find she had. Zuri looked at both of them, and then Thantos. Watching the brute Both of them were built, and looked so much taller than Zuri. She was much smaller, but what she lacked in strength she had in speed, and smarts.

Onyx glanced back at the female and tilted her head listening to her words. "No worries for me, but worries for you." she spoke in what seemed menacing. "Don't you know that, something is haunting and hunting these lands now?" Listening to the silver fae speak Onyx sat on the rock, less tense and more relaxed. Posing no threat to each other. Onyx's tail tip just brushing the top of the water, almost like a paintbrush. "I'm Onyx, I'm the beta of the pack that lives here. I'm sure you're familiar with them." Onyx glanced back at the overlook, not seeing that wolf anymore. Was I just imagining it? What was that? I'll need to tell Laurens.. Trailing off in her own head. Taking her eyes off the overlook finally and back at the mysterious fae. "I also wonder why I haven't seen you around? I've been here my whole life. Which is shocking I haven't ran into you. I frequent the this lake often." Onyx spoke raising a brow, hearing the pack speak of the she-wolf but never laying eyes on herself. Which was odd, Nyx could stand out in this overcrowded forest. Must have been a lot harder to survive on your own.

Onyx shook her head and huffed. "I thought I saw something, but it's gone now I guess.." she trailed off. She wanted to find out what it was so bad though, so eager for the taste of thrill as always. "It looked like someone was on our land.. Must of been one of the subordinates." her tail swayed, the tip stirring the water. Onyx sniffed the air catching no scent of what she saw, wondering what possibly was up there. "Anyway, it was nothing I suppose. But you, you shouldn't be out here alone anymore." A almost mother-like tone. "Something is going on, we can't place what. But we feel the presence of grief and destruction. Possibly death." This female seemed to hold no ill-will to the back and had no idea what was going on. Onyx knew being a beta meant protecting her pack, but she couldn't stand aside and let this loner be taken down by it as well. When she hadn't done anything to the pack, or Onyx personally. "I hate to be the one to say this, but possibly stick a little closer than you normally are." Onyx spoke in a serious tone. "I have heard no ill words about you from anyone in the pack, just that you prefer to be alone." Onyx spoke keeping her eyes glued on the fae now.

Not losing gaze with her now that she wasn't as distracted as before. Onyx laid back down on the rock, whipping her tail up out of the water and watched the she-wolf wash her paws. Thinking it was quite silly, but Onyx was more casual and carefree about such mundane things. Wondering if Laurens had meet this wolf, she wonders if he ever offered her to stay in the pack? Onyx had no power over that but she could tell her to stick close. One she-wolf who wants nothing to do with the pack isn't going to put them in any harm. And Onyx knew this, knowing she could take her out herself if needed. Thinking the welcome was absolutely fine in this case, for once. Onyx usually the first to chase loners away. Chasing first, asking questions later.

Onyx continued to chat with the female loner. When she caught a smell, like something was rotting and decaying. snarling her nose in disgust, she looked at Nyx, then around the area. Not seeing anything, but the smell was horrible and lingering. "You should hang around the borders, it will be safer. For now at least.." Onyx jumped off the rock she was previously perched on and went to investigate such a foul smell. Her mind going towards the thought of food, Onyx surely would do anything for a bite to eat ever. She held her head high in the air and sniffed around. She wasn't able to tell if it got stronger, or weaker. She wasn't to far from the lone fae, she could easily catch up if wanted. Still in distance to see each other. She stood her ground, kept sniffing the ground and air. Wondering if she would find anything or if she was just going crazy. Am I just food crazy right now? she chuckled to herself while smelling that rotten smell. Grossed out, but meant food. And food was scarce here.

Daenerys' smiled at his reply, they'd make a family, be a family. Even if many wolves did consider their pack to be their family there was something special about a mateship and blood bond between parents and their offspring. The thought of having pups had been one she often evaded in her earlier years, any males who caught her eye so many years ago were easily double her size. She'd not be able to bear pups that large and it'd be unlikely that her petite frame would be able to withstand mating with anyone too much larger than herself. The thought caused her bones to chill slightly and she had a new found gratefulness that Laurens was a smaller than average brute in stature. Though now the fact that Laurens had brought it up instead of her seemed to light a long dampened flame within her. They'd have dazzling pups together, likely silver coated in color with splotches of her black and golden-brown color or his zinc coloration. If they did follow through with this light conversation on a later date it'd be her first ever litter, she'd want Laurens by her side. That meant she'd have to join his pack, but the thought of other wolves- pack or not, around her in such a vulnerable state caused her apprehension to further fester. She knew that in many packs that when the Alpha Female was pregnant the rest of the pack often looked after her, she didn't want others. She'd want him, and his attention. Mentally shaking her heard she scoffed at herself, you're going to have to learn to share him Stormborn. She could almost hear her mother's light chastising tone, reprimanding her for wanting all of his attention on her even when she did join his pack.

His gentle whines caused her attention to flicker back to the more conscious world and she turned to him, ears perked along the top of her head attentively. She watched him rise, seeming to stiffly stretch before he laid back down again, had her statement of her heritage upset him? Reaching forward she nibbled at his throat, stopping only to follow it up with several loving laps with her pink tongue. She had little idea of his heritage, she'd heard rumors long ago that he was the offspring of a God but she had always doubted it, so now when he began to speak of his mother she listened intently, inching forward and resting her head along his shoulders. While Laurens had always been forthcoming with her questions he had never once brought up the topic of his lineage, often evading the topic should it arise. So instead of even deflecting her attention from him she listened closely, as if her very being clung to each word he had said. Though as soon as he spoke of his mother dying at the hands(paws?) of the pack she could feel herself mentally cringe away, she'd never understand the reasoning to sacrifice a wolf, much less a mother. Still though she remained quiet, she could tell by his avoiding gaze that this topic was hard for him to discuss. She felt her face soften as he continued. Mystified by what would soon come from him. Even he didn't know his father and was raised by his mother to think of Skoll as his sire. As soon as he broke the gaze from between his paws to meet hers she reached forward and lapped at the side of his cheek gently. The action held no hidden motive, it was filled with love for him and appreciation that he'd let his guard down and trusted her enough to share his story.

She pulled away once more, letting him finish and she sat in thought. Much like her, his ancestors expected him to follow within their pawsteps. To walk the same path that they and their ancestors before them had. That was what Daenery's struggled with, what was expected of her rather than what her heart desired. His statement brought a hollow feeling to her as it rang with truth. They wouldn't have met, and if she stuck to the ancestral expectations put upon her she'd either lose him or he'd come with her- but not the same. If she decided to stay a loner her wings would soar but would his even fly? The thoughts caused her brow to furrow with concentration and her gaze finally broke, now looking upon her own paws. His final words resonated with her, she didn't desire to join a pack in fear of losing her individuality and freedom. Yet a pack was a group made of individuals, each personality playing off the other to form a machine that worked as one. She'd still be an individual and free within her own right, she's sure if her own lust for adventure got too bad Laurens would allow her to venture within the farther reaches of the territory, right? She looked up again leaning forward to touch her nose to his ear, "Thank you, for sharing that with me." her voice was breathy and she gave a tender nuzzle under his chin.

Amidst the abrupt shifts from aggression to flirtation he had returned the head rubbing she had set forth and her tail wagged against her legs. Once he had finished she parted from his side and rolled over, writhing on the ground below him. She stilled, licking at his chin with soft whines. She was easily excitable and her own arousal was palatable in the air, mingling with his. Had she been in her heat this would have escalated quickly, but such the haze and lust that a heat gave was absent from her mind and she rolled over once more now laying on her stomach and chest, her tail still wagging all the while. Her ears perked to his most recent comment and she could feel her cheeks grow hot under her creamy-white pelt. It didn't help with the warmth that had formed in the den from their antics and she soon broke into a quiet pant, just the tip of her tongue lolling outside of her muzzle, resting atop her pearly white canines. She found herself quite surprised by saying he'd welcome her..distraction, it only furthered her excitement and flirty playfulness. Waggling slightly she tucked her head, pawing out towards him and striking his chest gently. Her tail arched over her rump even as she laid, wagging slowly from side to side.

Soon enough the gnawing on her chin pulled her out of her lustful trance and her weight shifted, now laying with her hind end to the side. She merely smiled at him, glad that he appreciated the meal. Her mind was still hazy with the pheremones that had flooded her body and she broke out once more into a lazy pant. The way he pinned the rabbit and crunched through the delicate bones of the rabbit had her guessing that it'd been awhile since his last proper whole meal. It only made her more prideful within herself that she had given to him, his comment that Vor must have greatly favored her caused her to smile gently, "My mother, Rhaella, was a very successful hunter. She too gave sacrifices of prey to Vor, I carried it with me in hopes it would sway my luck with hunting. So far it's proven to, if that's just a coincidence or the true work of the Goddess herself isn't up to me to question, I just remain grateful and continue to bury prey." She replied softly, recalling her mother whom was a beautiful wolf and even more beautiful soul.

Instead of reaching forward to steal a quick nibble she rested her head on the soft bedding under them. Her stomach had forgotten the dull ache of hunger from earlier this morning with their conversing and previous antics. Though now the piece he offered to her she merely nosed back to him with a single thud of her tail against the moss and feathers. She raised her head to be some-what eye level to him as he spoke casually of Salem and Ophelia. She found herself consumed with what was happening in his packs between the individual wolves and their private lives. "Before kicking him out perhaps try to have a talk with him? I mean if you think Ophelia has feelings for him it might even be good to have her present at it." She commented lightly, her tone was casual and neutral just putting her two-cents on the situation. "I know of Ophelia from when she was a loner, I don't think she'd try anything... Honestly? She'd make a good wolf to have present." She added once more, her head cocking in thought. She was more concerned about Folkvar. As he rose she broke her thoughts away- she wanted to enjoy the remainder of his visit without worrying about what could be a distant future.

She sat up and shook her head, freeing her neck and side of her face free of the bedding. "Perhaps the river? We could both do with a good swim." She replied gently, alluding to the fact that they heavily smelled not only of eachother but their mutual arousal. The strong currents of the river would wash their scents clean of each other with ease. As such she slipped from the den, trotting around outside of it- the air outside of the den was considerably fresher as it didn't hang with the scent of each other (which she quite liked), and pheromones. Shaking out her pelt she pranced for a few moments, a smile upturning on her muzzle. "Race you?" She called out, a devious smirk on her muzzle as she turned.

The weight of his head on her back and the relaxation of his body under her own head was warmly welcomed by her semi-conscious mind and a soft sight escaped her. As if sealing her fate to be lulled deeper into sleep Salem's body pressed closer and curled around her own, the warmth let her dreams slowly come to mind and she surrendered to rest, finally.

Soft fronds of grass encased her paws as she stood in the center of a field. Looking down she could barely see her silver-white paws in the vibrant green but her amber eyes raised once more, scouring the land for a familiar face within her dream or a landmark that could tell her of where she was. Nothing. Just an empty expanse before here that stretched to the horizon as far as she could see. Many of her dreams were meaningless, just something to occupy her subconscious while she slept. Soon enough though the sound of voices caused a guttural growl to sound from her slumbering frame. But, just as quickly as the warning came to those talking in the den around the sleeping pair came it had left. In it's place her soft breaths.
