- many generations ago, more than any cat can count, there lived a tribe in the mountains. they were called the tribe of rushing water. a danger lived amongst them, named sharptooth. he was a cat like them, just a lot bigger than them and stronger than them. they lived in fear until a prophecy arrived, telling of a silver cat that would come and save them all. and so she did. she risked her life and lost it in order to fulfill the prophecy and save the cats that took them in. her brother, a pure clan cat, had stayed and had a family of his own. this led clan genes to be passed down through the tribe. the clan cats had to leave the shelter of the tribe and they were very grateful for their hospitality. they never forgot them and to this day, stories are still passed down among generations.
generations later, a clan by the name of timberclan was founded. they lived in the dense forest. one day, timberclan fell into ruin and lost their home, due to a raging forest fire. they sought sanctuary anywhere they could find, but they could not succeed. one thought finally came to mind, the tribe. of course, they were unsure if the tribe was still in existence. they went towards where the legend said the tribe was housed, and came upon a tribe, none the less. however, it was not the same one from the tales. this one was named the tribe of storming clouds.
the tribe cats were reluctant, yet not heartless, and allowed the timberclan cats to mix in with their own. of course, most if not all cats believed they would only house there until they found another place to live. but, unbeknownst to them, they would never leave. after the harsh leaf-bare, they were supposed to leave, but alot of the cats, tribe and clan, had mingled and most were expecting mixed kits. they then realized that timberclan would probably never leave. the tribe and timberclan were one now, and there was no way out. eventually, in a battle to determine who would rule, timberclan won. the clan culture had overlooked the tribes, and in time, the tribe was forgotten, once more.
