the soft hum of the morning woke the sleeping tom. the chirping of birds carried uneasiness with it, his pelt rose slightly. many cats thought the neighboring cats posed no threat to forestclan. he knew that was just lies the cats told to the apprentices. his father had disappeared two moons ago to the wild-ones, or he assumed. he remembered that day, when his father disappeared, just like his mother's fate in the clan's safety. she took cloudstripe's two sisters, rosepelt, and honeytail. from rumors they were killed, or turned rouge, joined the wild-ones, the list goes on. but only cloudstripe knew the truth, his mom and his sisters became kitty-pets.

thinking about the past always made cloudstripe forget the time. his fur was coated with twigs and bedding. maybe a quick cleaning won't hurt. his tongue soothed down his black striped pelt, but it also let him look more presentable. he threw a stick intertwined in his fur while observing the camp. he let out a yawn before raising, he was still barely awake, but he knew the clan wasn't going to feed itself. he gave a big stretch before heading out of camp. cloudstripe is usually by himself, not many cats trust him because of his kin. his father was devoted, but his mother was weak and ignorant. his father only loved her because of her striking beauty, cloudstripe didn't believe in that. he knew if he were to fall in love, he would rather have someone who has a good personality compared to beauty. he had no thoughts of love though, he knew if he were to raise kits it was not to be now, not while the wild ones are threatening the well being of his peers. he raised his head to taste the air, before catching a scent. shrew, it definitely wouldn't feed the whole clan, but it was enough for some to eat. he scanned the area, zoning in on a shrew hiding in the short groundcover. he crouched, keeping his tail down, then he froze. it saw him, i must kill it now or it will be out of reach. he was close enough to pounce, just as it turned to run, he gave one fatal bite and it was gone.

weasel yawned slightly as she noticed the sun hadn't risen yet. the chill of night blew her fur, a shiver through her pelt ascended. weasel lifted, her tortie coat flirting with the cold night air. she looked around the camp, no cats were present. not even guards are awake, she thought as she left the den, when i'm a guard it'll all be different. she whispered to herself, but soft enough for no cat to hear. she wanted to prove to flame that she was worthy of a guard spot, but how? maybe i could use my charm. she would catch the biggest rabbit in the forest and prove she was worthy of being a guard. since no cat would show her the territory because of the mouse-brained forestclan cats, she would have to give herself a tour. she quickened her pace as she left the group she called home.

after looking a while for food, she forgot where camp was. her stomach turned, her fur raised slightly. her ears flattened as she heard paw steps behind her. you're really in trouble now, what if they find you out here? instead of staying put, she crept around a bush, her eyes searching for something, anything to prove she wasn't up to devious things. her eyes focused on a flame pelted tom, her age, maybe slightly older. she didn't recognize this tom, and he was also on the wild-ones territory. she crouched down, as she tried to recall back to watching older cats attack threats. her claws unsheathed as she prepared to leap. as adrenaline pumped through her, she pounced on the unsuspecting cat, holding him down.

"who are you and why are you on wild one's territory?" she questioned as she dug her claws into his soft stomach. something restrained her from doing much else, she didn't know what it was. maybe it was lack of experience or fear that he would hurt her, or maybe something else that she didn't understand yet. she hadn't ever seen a cat quite like him, he was definitely not a loner, he was well too fed and smelt of the forest. a sudden realization hit her, he's forestclan.

Featherwhisper took another bite from the mouse, glancing around camp again. A few cats here and there. Featherwhisper didn't talk to many other cats if she didn't have to. She always felt nervous, that they would sneer at her since she wasn't clanborn. When she first came here cats seemed to think she was useless at everything. Maybe because she was. Back then, Featherwhisper didn't know how to hunt or fight. She didn't do anything properly, she was afraid of everyone. Cats didn't like her because of that. But now, she could do everything just like them! She was a clan cat whether they liked it or not. Featherwhisper finished the mouse and stood up, stretching. She would have liked to go hunting, but she was meant to train with Snowpaw again today. If the clan trusted her enough to give her an Apprentice, maybe they didn't think she was a soft kittypet anymore. Featherwhisper went to the Apprentices' den and glanced inside. They were all sleeping. Well, it wasn't her place to wake up other warriors' Apprentices, so she should just... "Oh for the love of Starclan." She hissed to herself. Foxpaw was gone. Raggedbriar hadn't gone to wake him up, so the Apprentice was on his own. She sniffed around. Sure enough, there was his scent. Fresh and leading out into the forest. Cursing silently, Featherwhisper followed the trail out of camp.

Faith flicked her ear. Would today just be more training? She hoped not. She was sick of training. She knew how to hunt, she knew how to fight. At this rate she wouldn't be surprised if Weasel was made a guard first. Speaking of Weasel, where was her denmate? When Faith had woken up, the younger Trainee wasn't in her nest. Faith had assumed she was eating or using the dirt place, but she had been sitting here for a while and hadn't seen the Trainee at all. Faith paused. She hadn't left, had she? Faith had promised to take her out to see the forest a few days ago, but she forgot. The black cat blinked. No, Weasel couldn't be gone. She knew how dangerous it was in the forest, Faith had told her about the clan cats, how you had to fight any you met, how you caught prey and fed the Wild Ones to be the best you could be, so that one day you could become the greatest cat in the forest- Faith groaned. Yes, she made the forest sound very dangerous and uninteresting. Faith jumped as a cat spoke to her.

Flame glared at Faith some more. She looked like a mouse brain, just sitting there. Flame wondered if the Trainee would notice him looking at her. So far it looked like a no. Faith complained night and day about still being a Trainee, but no wonder she wasn't a hunter if she did this. She just sat there, staring at nothing. Flame stifled a chuckle at the realization he was doing the same thing. Nah, that was mean. In all honesty, Faith did deserve to be a Hunter. If Flame was in charge he would give her the rank she had earned. It'd probably happen soon, at least. Flame looked around the den. Right. A guard. He needed to get up. Flame got to his paws and stretched before heading out into the clearing. He wondered momentarily where the little runt was, but forgot about it when Faith growled. "What." He said, glaring at her. The she-cat almost jumped out of her skin. "Uh- I don't know where Weasel is. She's not in her nest and I thought she was eating or using the d-dirt place but she's not in camp and I think she went into the forest alone." Faith stuttered. Flame blinked. She looked genuinely worried. He sighed dramatically, then shook his head. "Fine. I'll go look for her." He snapped. Of course Weasel was gone. He didn't blame her, she'd been stuck in camp for what, a moon? He had asked Faith to show the other Trainee the territory, but clearly she hadn't. Flame padded out into the forest.

xx'xxThere were none of his clanmates around in the forest. Really, he'd expected to at least come across the dawn patrol - the sooner they were up, the better. They needed to defend their territory. But, alas, no one was about, and he supposed that made it easier for him. He could cross straight over the border without anyone stopping him. And, indeed, no one did. There were no fresh scents of other cats, Clan or Wild One, at the border. Everything was stale, though the border marks were still strong. It felt almost too easy, to just step over the scent line, and he kept his ears pricked and eyes peeled, just in case anyone was waiting about to ambush him.

    xx'xxNo one.

xx'xxHis confidence building - Foxpaw was sure he could catch something and return without being found - he set off into the forest. There were plenty of fresh trails, so he wasn't sure why the Wild Ones insisted on stealing prey. They probably did it just for the reaction.

xx'xxHe'd just found the very fresh scent of a rabbit, and though it wasn't the pheasant he was after, he couldn't pass it up. The apprentice had just settled down to stalk his prey when the wind changed and the unfamiliar scent of another cat hit him. He didn't have time to do anything before the cat barrelled into him and pinned him down. Winded, Foxpaw kicked out his hind paws, aiming for the soft underbelly of the tortoiseshell. She looked to be about his age, and the scent of her group was strong on her fur.

xx'xx"If you get off of me, maybe I'll tell you." He replied, tail lashing.

Snowpaw
▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪
Age: 10 Moons Gender: Male Clan: ForestClan Rank: Apprentice Tags: Open

A young chocolate lynx point tom made his way carefully through the forest, not making a single sound as he went. The tom's slender frame slipped under some undergrowth as he seemed to be searching for something. The young tom hadn't been able to sleep, so he rose earlier then usual that morning and wandered out into the forest, a goal already set in mind. He didn't spend any time worrying about getting caught, he figured he would be back in time before anyone noticed he was gone. Snowpaw flicked his ears at the faint sound of water, then lowered his nose towards the ground, a small grin found its way on his face when he picked up on the scent. The tom quickened his pace, his blue eyes gleamed, he had set out into the forest for this since he woke up, and he was determined not to return to camp until he got paws on it. Snowpaw kept his gaze fixed ahead, the trickle of the stream started to grow louder, it would be coming into sight soon. When a familiar tree came into sight, Snowpaw rushed forward, stopping just before the tree. Glancing around to make sure no one was around, Snowpaw slipped under a bush to his left. It was a fairly large bush, making it easy enough to move around in, and large enough to hide a patch of moss that grew at the base of the tree.

When Snowpaw stopped at the moss he noticed something different about. Snowpaw frowned, then cursed under his breath. Last nights wind had blown pine needles towards the moss, that now lay scattered atop the moss. He reached out his paw towards the moss, then started to swipe away the pine needles off the moss, cursing again as some of the pine needles got stuck in the moss. Snowpaw began to grumble under his breath to himself about the extra effort he had to put in. The tom started picking out pine needles one at a time, carefully searching the moss for any he had missed. He disliked getting pine needles in the moss, you could be relaxing comfortable one minute, then have something poking you next. Snowpaw took great care in making his nest, one reason he traveled this far for moss. Sure, there was moss closer to camp, but none could compare to the quality this moss patch had. It was so soft, and just right for his nest. He also liked hunting birds for the very reason of using the feathers to line his nest. Plucking the feathers out of the birds was a bit tedious, but the end result was worth it. Snowpaw often came back to camp with a few stray feathers he had found out in the forest while on a patrol, or just after training with his mentor, Featherwhisper. "There." Snowpaw mumbled to himself as he examined his work. He had gotten all the pine needles out, and cut off enough moss to freshen up his nest. With a satisfied nod Snowpaw picked up the moss, and slid back out of the bush.

Roused from his sleep by the gentle breeze that sifted through his spacious den, Rowanstar stretched out his lean body, muscle flexing and retracting with each strenuous movement. The ginger tomcat tilted his head side to side, keen to relieve the knot settled deep in his neck. He hadn't been sleeping very well for moons now. Since the treaty broke between the Wild Ones and Forestclan to be more specific. With ambushes on patrols more frequent then ever, the leader worried that he was being too lenient towards the rogue group. Perhaps they should strike first for once instead of sitting back on their haunches. The large ginger tabby frowned, teeth clenching as he shook his head to himself. No, they wouldn't stoop to the lowly levels of those mangey wild cats. The better his clan was prepared to deal with the Wild One's antics, the fewer cats they would lose and the faster the hope and fight dies in the hearts of their rivals.

Squeezing out of the entrance of the hollowed tree trunk that served as his den, Rowanstar inhaled deeply, relishing in the fresh air that permeated the forest. With a slow glance around the camp, taking note of those who were awake, the tomcat briefly wondered where his deputy, Spidertail was. Not only was the Bengal one of his most trusted warriors, but one of his closest friends as well. He had been hoping Spidertail would be awake so he could set him to the task of organizing patrols for the morning, but the muscled tom lightly shrugged and settled down. He was patient enough to wait for more of his clan mates to rise before patrols became an importance.

Few cats had risen, stepping groggily from their dens before collecting themselves to begin their day. Some ventured out into the forest to get some solitary hunting in while others, like herself, enjoyed their breakfast and lounged around the camp in wait of instructions for morning patrols. Cicadastorm's keen emerald eyes noticed both Foxpaw and Cloudstripe slipping out of camp earlier on, and so far neither toms had returned. A moment later the black and white molly's attention was directed towards Featherwhisper, watching as the grey warrior rose from where she too was peacefully lounging and strode out of camp.

Cicadastorm's heart weighed heavily, memories of the clan mates that had fallen in the past moons since the treaty with the Wild Ones had been terminated. There had been many more battles and killings, kidnapping's even which had later turned into murders. The black and white warrior briefly closed her eyes, plagued by images of many bloodied bodies, fighting with teeth bared and claws unsheathed, with the intent to rip the other's throats out. She had thought, after hearing stories told by elder's of Kain and Heatherstar and the peace they had agreed upon, that the cats of the land would have no reason to seek war and bloodshed. Not when both parties had lived in peace for many, many moons.

She moved like a phantom across the barren ground, paws moving swiftly and quietly. The Chief's vivid blue gaze scoured the land before her as she scaled a large boulder at the treeline. Gazing down at the forest spread out before her, Tundra's keen eyesight narrowed in on countless prey milling about on the forest floor. They were Forestclan prey, but Tundra had long since admonished the ideals of her predecessors and deemed all and any prey she set her eyes on fair game. She had a family to feed and she would do what she had to to ensure that they were round in the bellies and in good health. Perched silently atop the boulder, somewhat hidden by overhanding branches and lichen, faint voices caught her attention and the white cat's line of vision shifted until she could see the scene unfolding clearly. Eyes narrowed and her lips curled back when she set her eyes on the young clan cat, couldn't be more than an apprentice, yet a wave of satisfaction settled over her upon seeing Weasel. The trainee, though a tad shorter than the ginger tabby tom whom she faced, was holding her own against the rival.

The two appeared to be talking while their little quarrel unfolded, and while she praised Weasel for standing her ground, Tundra was growing bored. In one swift movement she leapt off the boulder and slunk towards the two, moving with an eerie silence and confidence that had terrified most she had faced. "Well done Weasel" came Tundra's silky meow. The feline's hard blue gaze was fixed intently on the clan apprentice, silently observing the tomcat and proceeding to pick out any possible weaknesses. "Looks as if you've caught yourself a... fox?" the Chief's tone was light though the hardness and hostility in her gaze promised only trouble and danger.

cloudstripe's gray pelt reflected in the rising sun, he took in the chirping of the birds, he let out a breath. he loved his clan; he even had a potential lover. but he hated talking, it wasn't his best quality. he carried his shrew into camp, most cats were awake now. some nervousness was present around camp, but he noticed cicadastorm by herself; which concerned him more. she seemed deep in thought, he quickened his pace towards her. he stopped next to her, and his eyes locked with hers. he froze for a second and then dropped the shrew. "its fresh, just for you." he purred, then settled next to her. his heat radiated against her, his purr rumbling past the mouthfuls of the shrew. after finishing his share, he glanced around camp, taking in all that was happening. he didn't really understand what had happened, but he heard from whispering that a cat had left camp this morning on its own. maybe they were worried about me... he thought for a minute before overhearing cats nearby talking about foxpaw. he sighed, foxpaw was capable of taking care of himself, he didn't know what the problem was. he glanced back down at cicadastorm, she had some meat on her nose. this is your chance! "you have something on your nose, silly." he said before lifting her head and licking it off. he then proceeded to awkwardly lower his head. how embarrassing..

weasel's fur bristled slightly as she held the orange cat, her eyes adjusting to the sun rising over the trees. her attention was soon drawn back to the cat, her eyes trailing over him, she didn't trust him. she smirked, "yeah where you'll run away, i don't think so, tell me your name or i'll claw your ears off." she said, attempting to be intimidating but it wasn't going well for her. she was getting tired of standing on the flame cat, she hopped off of him and puffed out her slim frame. "look, my name is weasel. so... what's yours?" she said, her tail swaying behind her. the cat seemed innocent, she believed he wouldn't run away now. her eyes trailed around his fur, it stuck out in places but it helped his charm. no, what are you thinking? he could hurt you! weasel thought before having another conflicting emotion, but he doesn't seem like he's interested in hurting me, "are you going to hurt me, orange-cat?" she said with a playful smirk, then she heard rustling in the bushes nearby. she caught a whiff of a familiar cat. if they caught her here with a forestclan cat they would definitely have her punished. in a quick motion, she jumped back on top of the cat, holding him down. "i'm sorry orange-cat, i cant be caught with a traitor." as the cat came to view, it was tundra. her heart stopped for a minute, what if she questioned her doings with the cat, what if she got in trouble? so many thoughts raced through her head. but after a long pause, she received praise. "t-thank you, tundra." after tundra's humorous response, she couldn't hold back a giggle. she leaped off the cat, while tundra looked away, she whispered an apology to the poor cat.

tense. the tom was driven by nothing by anger. he was restless and wanted nothing more than to
slay one of the cats that called themselves clan members. they had taken prey and attacked cats
before. his eyes burned with the thoughts of revenge. how he longed to show his leader that he
would be able to lead his comrades into battle against the weaklings. the tom knew himself
that he alone was enough to fight most of their enemies. his large size and fighting skills
proved him worthy of the leader's praise; and getting praise from a cat like tundra wasn't easy.

grisly stared grimly as flame padded out of camp. he wasn't going to bother challenging why the
tom was leaving. instead, he rose to his paws and lurked to faith. "where's tundra?" hissed
grisly, suddenly appearing next to the young shecat. the tom didn't bother to make eye contact.
instead he stared at the camp entrance, as if paranoid a cat would suddenly come bursting through.

how exciting it was for her to be an apprentice now. although she was the newest apprentice, she felt
welcome with her denmates. all of them had yet to make her feel uncomfortable or upset. as she
day-dreamed of the forest, a rustling noise startled her. looking around, she noticed snowpaw,
whomwas fixing his nest. after the tom retreated to the camp clearing, chanterellepaw stretched, allowing
her small claws to slip out and dig at the earth beneath her. giving herself a brisk lick, the shecat rose and
followed the older tom out of the den.

not releazing just how fast she was padding, chanterellepaw found herself running right into the
rump of snowpaw. "i'm so sorry!" the shecat semi-shouted as she backed away. "i wasn't looking

although she had not spoke with the tom much, she wasn't expecting him to
lash out at her. she knew he was more laid back and was glad to have run into him versus raggedbrair.

Snowpaw
▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪
Age: 10 Moons Gender: Male Clan: ForestClan Rank: Apprentice Tags: Chanterellepaw

Snowpaw had made his way back into camp rather quickly, hoping the warriors wouldn't notice he had been far from camp. They'll just think I went out to get some moss from nearby, no reason for them to know I was a bit further off.... unless someone finds my scent... Snowpaw thought as he entered camp, keeping his glaze downwards. He quickly slipped inside the apprentices den and let himself relax once again. Glancing around he noticed most of the apprentices were still inside, then made a metal note to keep quite. Snowpaw padded over to his nest and wordlessly started to line his nest with the fresh moss. He took his time with the task, making sure everything was in the right place. Once satisfied with his work, Snowpaw placed a paw and genitally patted the nest. "Just right." He murmured to himself as he stretched out his hind legs. As much as he would have loved to just hop in and take a nap, his stomach had other ideas. He hadn't seen Fatherwhisper out in camp, so maybe he could get to the fresh-kill pile before she dragged him out to train. Snowpaw always found it interesting that he became her apprentice not long after she became a warrior herself. Perhaps Rowanstar wanted to give her a challenge by giving her a lazy apprentice to work with. Whatever the reason, Featherwhsiper wasn't that bad of a mentor, Snowpaw rather enjoyed training with her, even if he did often complain about his apprentice duties.

Stepping out of the den Snowpaw stretched out a bit more to loosen up. Snowpaw took another look around camp, still no sign of Featherwhisper. "Good to go-" Snowpaw was cut off as someone ran into in from behind. He stumbled forward, having to catch his balance to keep from falling. His pelt had bristled slightly in surprise, he hadn't heard anyone padding up behind. Turning around he saw it was Chanterellepaw who had ran into him, and now was making a rather loud apology. Snowpaw felt embarrassed that he hadn't heard her come up, and that he had been startled by a younger, and smaller apprentice. To top it off, she was one of the sweetest, and gentlest cats he knew. Snowpaw coughed to clear his throat, allowing his body to relax. "It's fine. Don't worry about it." Snowpaw replied reassuringly, giving his chest a few quick licks as his pelt once again lay smooth. Dear starclan. I hope no one saw that... especially Foxpaw or Reedpaw, they'd hang this over my head for moons. Snowpaw flicked his tail towards the fresh-kill pile, shifting his gaze to the orange colored tabby in front of him as he did so. "I was just about to get a bite to eat before Featherwhisper drags me out of camp. Wanna join me? We could share a rabbit or something."

She was still following the trail of Foxpaw, having realized he was in fact not her apprentice and it was not her job to find him. But, what if he was hurt? What if The Wild Ones had found him? She continued at her quick pace, trying to get rid of the worries racing through her mind. He was probably fine. Foxpaw could defend himself and he was too smart to go into The Wild One's territory. Right?

Wrong. Featherwhisper shook her head as she got to the border. The stupid apprentice had gone right over it. Probably just trying to cause mischief. Swallowing all hope of getting out of this unscathed, Featherwhisper trotted over the border. It wasn't difficult to find Foxpaw. She saw him within moments, he was with some of The Wild Ones. Of course he was, why would it be easy to bring him back to camp? Why would Featherwhisper be able to have a normal day without someone in the clan getting injured? Featherwhisper walked briskly to the three cats. "Tundra." Featherwhisper stated, nodding respectfully. She kept her claws sheathed, barely resisting the urge to lower into a battle stance. "I don't want trouble. If you'll allow me to take this apprentice back to camp, he will be punished for crossing into your territory." Though the treaty was destroyed, Featherwhisper would not fight these cats unless they attacked her first. This was their territory, she shouldn't be here. She threw a death glare at Foxpaw, then smiled kindly at the young she-cat. She had done well, attacking Foxpaw. Featherwhisper wished she could have good cats like her in the clan. Cats who didn't make unnecessary trouble.

Faith tensed as Grisly approached her. No, no no no no- She barely stopped herself from sighing when he spoke. She didn't like this cat. He was cruel, rude, scary. She realized he was just like Flame. No wonder the guard went all sweet and soppy when he talked to the second. "Tundra wasn't here when I woke up. Weasel was gone too. Flame's out finding her, he might see Tundra on the way." She gabbled. Though she didn't like this cat, she was desperate for his approval. Grisly was important, he and Tundra would decide if she was actually good enough to be here, to be a hunter. Faith glanced anxiously at where the tom was looking, he seemed to be expecting someone. Faith blinked. "Would you like to perhaps go and catch up with Flame? He could tell you about Weasel's training. Or whatever." She said slyly. Faith thought it would be good for the two grouchiest cats to spend time together. They could chat about who they wanted to kill, or when they planned to overthrow Tundra. Yeah, that sounded like something they'd talk about.

Flame followed the scent of the Trainee, vaguely aware of Tundra's as well. He briefly thought of leaving the young cat's trail to see where Tundra was, but the Chief might be suspicious if she caught him searching for her. A few times, Flame had considered killing Tundra. He really had. Her decision to fight clan cats, to cause disputes and injuries everywhere, was stupid. If Flame was Chief, everything would be different. He'd restore the treaty, stop all fighting. He'd maybe even convince Forestclan to join them. They could be so great if they shared everything. The forest united. But, if Tundra died, Grisly would become Chief. Flame thought that wouldn't be so bad, but he didn't admit that to himself. Who would be the new second when Tundra died? She'd die soon enough. Too many fights, too much tension, too many deaths. It was going to happen, Tundra's home could be attacked from inside or out. She couldn't trust anyone. Flame had eventually declared killing Tundra was a lost cause. The damage was done to the relationship between them and the clan. Killing Tundra wouldn't unite them, it'd just scatter everyone. The clan would win then and The Wild Ones would be lost. No, Tundra could die after the treaty was back. Flame blinked back into reality, glancing around. The scent he had been following was still fresh. He could hear voices nearby. Tundra, Weasel and... Clan cats. Of course.

xx'xxThe torbie she-cat holding him down was certainly keen to do her job. He assumed she held a similar rank to him, and was in training. But, surprisingly, she stepped off of him and introduced herself. Weasel? Well, it certainly suited her. Before he could answer any of her questions, the undergrowth moved and out stepped another she-cat.

xx'xxHer long white fur made her appear bigger and stronger than she probably was, and her tone sent a shiver down his spine. Weasel had pinned him back down, too, and his lips curled in the beginnings of a snarl. He was sure he knew who this was, and it was confirmed when Weasel thanked her for her praise in catching him. Tundra. The leader of the Wild Ones.

xx'xxBut Weasel had stepped off of him again, so he got to his paws, fur bristling and tail lashing. Realistically, she knew he had no chance of winning if they both attacked him, but he'd give it a good go. He was an apprentice of ForestClan - warrior blood ran through his veins. That alone was worth more than anything these cats knew. He barely heard Weasel's quiet apology.

xx'xx"My name is Foxpaw," he said, "and I'm already a better warrior than you'll ever be." He snarled, just as yet another cat joined them. This time, it was one of his own. Featherwhisper was polite to the other cats, though Foxpaw didn't even attempt to hide his aggression. But she had a good point - maybe they could get away from this unharmed. It sucked that he hadn't caught anything for all of this effort, though.
