- forestclan used to call the forest that shoulder the clump of twoleg nests their home until the twolegs themselves
decided to take even more with their greed-filled hearts. they took away the forest, moving in with large monsters
that spewed acid breath and left behind trails of foul smelling liquid, their paws making titanic marks in the ground
as they tore through the earth. the clan of cats that had remained dominant over the forest for generations were
forced to scatter frantically to avoid being crushed by the sudden invasion of enormous metal monsters that destroyed
everything in their path. among the chaos the cats of forestclan had become separated, having done anything to get
away with their lives but disbanding themselves from the rest of their clan. some were able to stay in small groups
but some were left on their own to find their way to wherever the others were. it was not long after the big
separation that the reigning leader of forestclan died from severe injuries and infection, forcing the deputy to step
up and take his place. when heatherstorm had taken her place as leader, following in her predecessor's, reedstar's,
pawsteps her sole mission was to reunite the lost clan members with those she had managed to gather from nearby.
it had been quite a difficult task and many of the cats she grew up with were not found but those that she did
manage to reunite with were in need of a new home, they all were. heatherstar and the remains of forestclan made
the dauntless trek across unknown land, not knowing exactly where they were headed but confidently following their
leader, knowing that she would get them somewhere safe, and that she did. in a new forest, a much larger forest
that was miles away form the nearest clump of horrid twoleg nests. though with new territory came new threats.
threats that came in the form of their own kind, yet much larger and far more vicious than any creature they had
ever encountered. the group of cats whom the clan cat referred to as 'the wild ones' were travellers but had continued
to return to that particular forest time and time again, and when they caught news that a much larger group of cats
had settled into the territory - well they didn't like that very much. since the clan's settlement in the new forest, the
wild ones had always been a nuisance. stealing food and causing fights between the two groups, and even going as
far as taking cats hostage until their demands were met. heatherstar made a deal with the wild one's chief, kain, that
each moon (month) they would drop boundaries and borders within the entire forest and both groups of cats would
have free range of the territory and freedom to hunt wherever. this seemed to hold the peace for quite some time.
until it didn't.
with a new leader leading forestclan, rowanstar, and a new chief pulling the strings among the wild ones, the
previous ideals of the predecessors were being doubted. the wild ones had been becoming increasingly greedy,
demanding the boundaries be dropped at least three times a month - an idea that appalled an already infuriated
rowanstar. disputes arose and the wild ones grew more aggressive towards the clan cats, digging up age old tactics
to get rowanstar and his clan to bend to their wishes. the kidnappings returned as did the frequent border brawls so
rowanstar did the only thing that made sense to him, he obliterated the treaty heatherstar had made with kain all
those moons ago. with both sides driven by pure hatred for the other and blind rage, the battles have become
bloodier with more and more casualties and the kidnappings have become more frightening, sometimes even
ending in fatalities. can rowanstar and the whole of forestclan find a solution to lay this age old issue to rest, or
will they be forced to go head to head with the wild ones in a grand battle to drive them out of the forest once
and for all?
