it was it. the end of times. nobody could save them now. the
wolf, white as snow, laid down. she gave a huff, and closed her
eyes.if only there was a way. she felt a familiar tap on her nose,
and opened her heavy eyes. it was her pup, her life, her son. he
looked frightened, stressed and sad. all the things she wanted
to protect him from. she was awake and alert instantly. in her
period of mourning the death of her mate in the avalanche,
she had forgot all about her pup. she began searching for a way
out of this cave the avalanche had trapped them in. of course,
she couldn't find one. she was so desperate to find hope for her
son and she began digging at the snow. she didn't need a big
hole, just one to fit a pup. the other parents started doing this
too, as they also wanted a life for their babies. they soon
burrowed through the thick snow and sent the pups on their way.
they wouldn't have enough time to dig a big enough hole for all
the wolves. before she sent her son off to fend for himself, she
whispered to him. "son, you must lead these pups. remember what
we taught you about hunting, finding water and defending you pack.
they need a leader, and that must be you. carry on the legacy. keep
them alive."

it's been years now since the incident. the pack that escaped is alive, and hasn't visited the mountains since. but things are changing. prey is getting rarer and rarer in the plains and the flat forests. it seems like they just, disappeared. there is hope, though. there is a place, where the grass is green and sweet. herbivores love to go there and eat this delicious grass. the water is clear and pure, and the snow is fluffy. it seems like the perfect paradise. the only problem? to get there, you must cross the mountains. the mountains are
known to the pack to be cursed, a place of death. but as food gets more scarce,
it seems the only option is to cross those mountains.
welcome to the legacy! in short, the pack must decide; do they risk crossing the mountains where "the" tragedy happened, or risk starvation because if the scarcity of prey? any plot errors/tips to make it better would be greatly appreciated!
