x Fallen Timber Leaves ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
( nickname: Timber ) x x ( rank: alpha ) x ( mood: sad ) x ( location: center of pack ) x ( crush: none ) x ( tags: Marlowe )
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

xxxxxxxxxHis thoughts were like nails scratching in his mind until a kind face appeared in his line of vision. Turning his charoacl head to the skilled hunter, he gave a weak smile, and nodded his head into a low bow for her. Although she was a hunter, the alpha believed that all wolves, no matter the rank, should be shown respect in all ways. They are just as much of a wolf as he is, and deserves just as much respect.
xxxxxxxxxAs Marlowe pressed the food to him, Timber let out a bigger smile, grateful for her kind offer to him. "Thank you for the offer Marlowe. But I am not particularly hungry right now. Maybe go offer it to another wolf, or have a bite of it for yourself. As a hunter you need your energy up so you can help get food for the rest of the pack. I do appreciate that you brought me this meal, and considered me." Timber said, keeping his chocolate eyes locked onto her.
xxxxxxxxxAs Marlowe spoke, Timber knew she was referring to Lacy. Marlowe helped bring food for the pup once she was old enough. And even taught her how to catch small game. But even then, Lacy could only catch bugs and injured baby birds that fell from a nest. Lacy was never going to be a hunter, but she was a lovely little pup. And Timber missed that pup. Timber knew that Marlowe was trying to help him, but he felt like another stone was placed on his shoulders.
xxxxxxxxx"I may not run the miles alone, but I am the leader of the line. And the wolves behind me trust in my choices. So the weight of their hopes and relations fall on me and my ability to run a pack to provide for the common good of the pack. And this last year was an unsuccessful year for us all. I know I can not control the weather, but it is hard to know that I planted our territory in a place that was doomed to have a deadly storm." Timber said to Marlowe. She was a kind wolf that was easy going and still had a young spark to her. It was sometimes like Lacy was still there when he talked to Marlowe. They were close to the same age, but only a few months apart. But those few months meant the world in age difference. But Marlowe still had the glow of youth that Timber had lost recently.

x Every Sunny Sky ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
( nickname: Ever ) x x ( rank: healer ) x ( mood: positive ) x ( location: edge of woods ) x ( crush: none ) x ( tags: Elya, Owl, Ender )
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

xxxxxxxxxAs Ender's voice mumbled some sly insults, Ever felt a slow annoyance bubble up into her throat. The feeling started in her spine, but tingled up until her eye sockets. But eventually, Ever let out a sigh, knowing that Ender was a naturally bitter wolf. It was like he constantly had a bite out of a lemon. He was her polar opposite it seemed at times. Sometimes omegas were lower ranked because they are aggressive, or weak, or whatever reason. Ever did not know why Ender was an omega, as it was not her choice. But Ender treated every wolf in his path as though they had personally scorned him. Or, at least, that is how Ever observed his behavior. But she did not know what was floating through his mind. And she assumed he did not want to share it.
xxxxxxxxxEver's kind demenor allowed for the insults to her fellow healers slide, and she pretended to ignore the not-so-subtle eye roll that he had cast at the females. Ever felt as though her and the other healers were doing a great help to the pack. Even the slightest injury the healers knew how to help. They were along side the warriors in battles, but were there to pick up the troops. Ever has brought life into the world, and has seen life leave the world too. Being a healer was not a simple job, but Ever tried to keep a positive outlook on it. And she would not let Ender get in the way of her joy and the bright morning.
xxxxxxxxx"I am glad to see that you are overflowing with joy today Ender." Ever said with an overly sarcastic tone, but with a small smirk still planted on her face, "I don't think I have ever been referred to as, 'The Pretty Bunch' but that sure does boost my self confidence." She said, her voice a low but soft tone. "Maybe you have the wrong impression of me Ender. I find myself to be a genuine wolf, who says what is on my mind. If I was not interested in you to accompany me, then I would not have offered. And the fact that you think that I enjoy seeing wolves crawl in the dirt disappoints me. As a healer my job is to make sure everyone is healthy and happy. And you are neither. Because I already ate and have some energy, I offered a paw to you to help get some food. As you clearly need it. So take the offer or leave it, it is not my choice. But I would be more than happy to help you catch some food." Ever said, her voice never wavering, and showing kindness and persistence through the words she said.
xxxxxxxxxEver did hope Ender would accept the invitation. She would even be willing to take him on a hunt, just the two of them, so he won't feel the need to share. Ever saw Ender's body and how frail it looked. He was skin and bones, and Ever was astonished that he too had not died in the winter. Everyone lost a fair amount of weight, but Ender's dramatic loss was much more noticeable than in some of the other wolves.

      [ male ] [ nm; fang or ghost ] [ five years ] [ no crush ] [ alpha's advisor ] [ tagged with -- ] [ word count; 892 ]

Songs of the early birds continued to ring throughout the forest, waking up any lingering creature that remained in their slumber. Fang's footsteps were kept light for the most part, despite the breaking of twigs every few minutes or so. He wasn't focusing that much on where his large paws landed and rather sniffed around for any source of prey. Between the two siblings growing up, the brute wasn't the best hunter compared to his sister. He was rather useful at taking down large game with others, being able to use his weight to pull down such a creature. Yet when it came to threading lightly for smaller animals such as rabbits, the wolf fell short. Though he wasn't entirely useless, he could feed himself and others if needed, but don't always rely on the male to bring home the hide.
White Fang's jaw hung open slightly to take in any scents that could be fresh or of importance. He was on the far south side of the territory where it was much more thick with undergrowth. Vines and bushes woven into each other in almost every corner, with only small section of walking space. The trees loomed tall overhead giving cover from the sun's rays that rose higher in the sky. The very faint crunching stopped the ghostly looking male in his tracks, the right paw of his creating a shadow on a branch that could possibly scare away the hidden creature. If the animal noticed his white pelt, it would be a fruitless attempt. Automatically the male tried to make himself smaller, pulling his paw back to crouch low to the ground. The deep forest gaze of his scanned the cluttered forest floor, scanning for the source of the sound. After a few moments of close listening, his large head turned slowly to his left. If he looked hard enough, there was a tawny brown rabbit. From his point of view it wasn't that large, but then again he was far away.

Taking his chances. Fang shifted his weight and stalked toward the prey of choice. It was much harder than most good hunters made it appear, probably due to his large size. Most hunters were lean and able to move fast. Sure he was fast for his size, but most were faster than him to be completely honest. Surrounding leaves and twigs hanging out from nearby bushes mingled in within the strands of fur, getting caught without the male noticing. Just before the wolf could leap with comfort, his paw landed on a larger branch that was probably blown off the trees during the winter. The rabbit's head popped up and took off running with a growling wolf trailing not far behind. The tall ears flattened against his large skull in irritation and took one large leap forward as a final chance to catch the creature. Just by luck. By absolute luck, his left paw landed on its back. The weight of his leg alone trapped it in place, the creatures chest heaving from both fear as well as the adrenaline that coursed through its veins.
Ghost took a moment himself to catch his breath before leaning over and snapping his neck. It suffered enough from being held underneath his pads awaiting death. Why make It longer? The sharp canines of his closed itself around the neck of the now deceased rabbit. Blood that held a strong metallic taste flooded his tongue, taking the uttermost will to hold back his hunger. Sure the beta was hungry, but so were others in the pack. Everyone needed to be fed under his watch. Instead of indulging in his stomach's desires, Fang started to make his way back toward camp.

The closer he got, the more voices could be heard. Of course none were entirely loud, but it was just common sharp hearing. The morning sun reflected off of the now dirtier white pelt as he stepped back into view with the limp creature hanging from his maw. The fur surrounding his lips were lightly stained with the rabbit's blood from the kill but thankfully wasn't too serious. The alpha's companion seemed to change to another female, yet his seldom look didn't. Perhaps he just wanted to be alone. But it wasn't his place, the superior was well enough capable of sending away a wolf. The healers remained clumped together just like he had left. Though Nisha and Carlise must have just gotten up. It could be considered that the lead warrior and himself were close in a way, bonding more like brothers a bit before and much after the loss of their loved ones. They understood each other in a way not many could. Could be due to their similar characteristics and thoughts, but the pair worked well together. White Fang didn't say anything before placing the rabbit down in the center of camp. There wasn't anything else on the stained rock that the occasional leftover pile would be. Now was only left a medium rabbit that must have had a steady and decent find during the cold season. His large body wandered back toward only to plop down in front of it, basking in the sunlight. Small twigs, dirt, and leaved stuck out of small places in his pelt but at the moment it didn't matter much to the brute.

      [ female ] [ nm; silent ] [ four years ] [ no crush ] [ loner ] [ tagged with Iona ] [ word count; 409 ]

The calling scent of the female marked a small portion of the tree. It was a risky move, but if someone from the pack recognized her scent, then it could mean better for her. Silent's nose lightly skimmed over the tree to make sure her message was clear until another voice barked up behind her. Being caught by surprise, the ebony female's hackles rose as her head slowly turned around to focus on the source of the voice. Both blue and green landed on the sight of another wolf, the scent of a female flooding her nose. It seemed rather familiar, as well as her look. The brown mixture within the white wasn't usual in the wolves she's come across, but it was a rather pretty combination. Rather than being aggressive like many other wandering wolves, her head lowered slightly to acknowledge that she wasn't in charge. Silent's eyes had a confused haze and took a cautious had tilt. "My apologies, I noticed of course. It's just the scent seemed so familiar I was wondering if I had been within these parts before," She spoke calmly despite being slightly uncomfortable underneath the other female's gaze. The pack wolf's mouth hung open slightly, adding to the confusion. 'Is she in shock about the scars? The weird eyes?' A even quieter and smaller voice whispered accusingly inside Silent's mind.

Of course out of all things to be worried about; instead of being threatened by the presence of a pack wolf, or even the danger of more coming, Silent was self conscious. Perhaps it was a learned thing, she could have been mistreated after the burns were etched onto her skin. Maybe from birth about her eyes. There wasn't many things she remembered. All that could be plucked from memory was being dragged out of the fire. Not sure by who. It's just the white ghost that's hung within her dreams. No name, no face. Just a faint scent and a figure. "I do not mean any harm; but I must know. My name is Silent Night, do you know anything about me?" Her tone came out softer and possibly more desperate. From confusion to just empty one could say her eyes had appeared. A cautious step brought her another foot closer to the light pelted female with a head held low. Despite the nonthreatening posture, she kept eye contact the entire time. There would be no submitting to another just yet.

──────────────────────────────────────────────────
Winter held like a pup at it’s mother’s teat, it clung to the air in chills and nips that sent shivers through the red wolf’s bones. She was a skinny thing, but her muscles held a strength to them that she looked not to have. Her eyes were as bright blue as the sky and her coat as red as the leaves in the fall. She was smaller than the average wolf, having been born a runt. She was made for the wilds, you could see it in her eyes, she was no ordinary wolves. Most lusted for the feel of other wolves at their side, for the sound of howls synchronizing together as a song, to hear the talk of others when they woke from their nightly slumber, but she had never felt such a way. Ygritte was the daughter of a rogue and she made it known well enough. She was stubborn and often overtly confident. She had been on her own for two and a half years now, struggling to find food and water but not even once had she regretted the sudden decision she had made when she was but a year of age.

This specific morning, she found herself at the side of a river, the scent of the water fresh and taunting. She had dropped her head to lap at the cool liquid with its crystal-like shimmers dancing across the surface. It tasted as freshly as it smelled, cool and welcoming as it slid down the back of her throat. She took her fill and for many moments watched the fishes dance through the water
they are much to unawares of my presence. She placed a paw gently in the center of the water, a chill coursing through her bones but it delighted her. The fish scattered to either side of her paws, momentarily thrown into disarray. aye, much better the thought made her smile and before long she moved along, leaving the fish to their routine.

The forest itself smelled strongly of pine and snow. Winter still grasped it tightly, yet Ygritte would not complain. She liked the winter, far more than she liked the cold. It was crisp and fresh and left the world in a beautiful array of whites. When the sun set, the purples and blues of the sky would dance across the snow as well… if you looked at them from the right angle that is. The only downfall was the lack of food, which showed as evidently upon her as it did upon the barren trees and the skinny sacks of bones she hunted in the night. The rabbits never had enough meat. They were bitter and wiry, their meat catching between her teeth leaving her unsatisfied after every meal. Her own pelt was pulled taut against her bones, but her long fur, however dulled by hunger, left her looking fuller than she truly was.

Her hunger had started out as a slight pang in her stomach, only to roil into a swelter fire until at last it had settled and dulled and seemed almost not there at all. She was starving, she knew that but at least the pain had subsided and just now she happened to catch the scent of rabbit in the distance. It crossed the borders of the pack she had grown to linger near, but she cared littler. Their scents assaulted her nostrils the moment she stepped through them. The pack was strong… for winter that is, but she had faith in her talent to avoid detection. She had been doing it for at least a year now, sneaking into their territory to snack upon their prey. She never took large beasts, only small ones, ones that would go unnoticed. The rabbit for instance.

It sat before her with wide eyes and large ears, it seemed fatter than the ones she had grown used to, perhaps due to the spring beginning to show, but it still was not fat enough to sustain her. Yet she would complain not. She sank to her stomach and with light steps crept forward. Her tail moved ever so slightly to balance the young wolf, but it made no rustled in the dirt. She grew closer until she was all but five tail lengths away and she sprung, hunger and desperation seeming to race through her veins. The rabbit stood little chance against the ravenous she-wolf, a sharp scream leaving its throat as she severed its windpipe. It was over in moments as the minuscule creature fell limp between her jaws.

It was satisfying if only for a moment, her stomach grumbled in approval though it longed for much more than it had received. She sat back, her tail curling about her hindquarters with a light grace. Blood stained her chin, yet it blended with the red of her coat. Her tongue found its way across her jowls, clearing the remainder of the rabbit from her fur. The scent of the wolves was heavy here, but it was not so recent. She could pick out distinctive scents, a strong brute with a scent of confidence he held, the scent of a female with a dire lust for a singular wolf, an alpha with a curious tint of sadness. She had studied the scents, trying her hardest to learn each, perhaps if she knew their strengths and weaknesses, she could worm her way out of trouble should she stumble across them.

She let her front paws stretch out before her, letting her stomach rest against the cool ground. She was exhausted certainly, and full to add. She rolled to her side and closed her eyes, ears twitching as they listened for the sounds of other wolves. Comfort seeped into her bones as she let the winter air rustle her pelt and dance across her skin.

owl female three years and seven months lead.healer tags.ender, ever, elya location.camp love.interest timber

owl couldn't help, but wrinkle her nose when she heard what the omega just said. the female wanted to snap out, say something, but with ever already trying to defuse the tensed atmosphere, it all felt worthless now that the other healer tried to make peace. instead, owl just narrowed her eyes, giving a short glance at ender and turning her head to see what elya was thinking or better said, what emotions elya was displaying on her face. movement that came from where timber stood made the lead healer scan him and marlowe, without any intention to know what they were saying. owl's ears dropped on the back of her head while seeing the sorrow alpha. it seemed that he was still thinking about lacy and who wasn't... it was a loss to the pack, to each of it's members. it was weird that owl sometimes wished that she could carry timber's burden? she didn't think so. but she never told anyone about it, not even the other healers.

moving her head around, looking at ever once more owl listened. deciding that she should enter the conversation the female said
"i don't want to hunt for now, i don't feel the need to eat, so i will either remain at the camp or go with you to find some blackberries. though, we could let the blackberries for another time and get them next time when we will search for herbs. the road is quite long, we should walk quite a lot till we reach a good place were we can find blackberries and since it will get hotter, maybe we can delay it for evening? it will not be too cold, but breezes will make the weather seem cooler."
owl
suggested and lowered her gaze, her eyes locked on her paws which claws dug into the fertile soil. raising her cranium and sketching a smile on her maws the female continued.

"of course you can give suggestions too, maybe we can do otherwise!"
the wolf twitched one of her ears as an annoying fly came by. the healer still gave ender quite a cold glance. "the uglies".... was that what other wolves thought of her and the other two females? owl clenched her teeth, trying to hide her annoyance and disgust, hiding her face, lowering it so the others couldn't tell.

xxxxxxxTension, beamed from each lupin excreating sharp daggers into the soul of the Lupa. It was a suttle of the closing eyes that showed she knew what was going to happen. It flashed evenly in her mind, Owl lashing at Ender in a justified dominance procedure. Ever defending Ender in a peace treaty that was inexistent. But who was left? Little Elya cleaning up what was to salvage from a domestic warfare. The Lupa tucked her head dropping her herbs: there was more to be ushed. In her experience it took her by bewilderment of Enders actions, striking out as he did so but in some cases, she would side with his actions despite how extream they were viewed as. Being omega was a role for other canines to extinguish there anger out and he knew that as well as the rest of them. Even though they refused to admit it and the brute knew that. On the contrary, it was plausible to know why Owl was so fueled by the omegas actions, Ender was short-tempered and childish. Maybe once he grew up he would have his title redeemed. Her vision enhanced on Owl for she knew Elya's lack of speech after all her slashed tongue made speaking an anxious and agonizing affair and Eyla found it almost grateful that Owl didn't ask but knew the lupa could portray what she was going to say. So to help the leade healer Elya did her suttle help in leading the omega away from a foreseeable fight.

The various distractions orientating the healers had almost led the she-wolf from her formal task. Also seemingly the others became socially intrigued abandoning their own roles. But in some ways, it was a positive bonding strategy and so in times of desperation, the pack would have a higher percentage rate of not reforming into dispersals. She almost felt her vocals quiver in a humorous manner. Ha, he thinks were the pretty ones !! She felt a boost of self-worth with even if it was from the omegas tongue. "You think we're pretty?" She meant it in all seriousness though it was probably going to come across as sarcasm as the other two had displayed. A delicate smile yielded her as she turned to the ladies. "I am sorry to despatch so soon but Ender and I have a task to do." She picked up the thine and cotton signalling for Ender to do the same. Hopefully Ever and Owl would see the reasons behind her actions. She slowly got to all paws anxiety flowing through her. She taking orders?? Elya bowed to Owl passing Ever she blinked slowly. It took no expert to see the 'thanks' that fluttered through her pupils 'The window to the soul'. The gratitude for Ever's attempt to bring her out of her shell. Only if she knew... Elya began the slow retreat to camp in consideration not to damage the herbs encased in her fangs.

ENDER
[gender: male] . [age: five] . [rank: omega] . [tagged: elya, ever, owl] . [mentions: -]

Ender was a wolf who harbored great hatred for the world and how it treated him. He thought everyone was to blame for his misfortune and therefore looked upon everyone like they had personally thrown him in the mud. A lack of family and trust in his life had led him to be this way. Wedged between the three healers he quickly regretted his words because they all seemed to grow with the rising tension. If any were to punish him now, he would be unable to do a single thing to protect himself.
Ender gave a nervous shift, head dropping as though to seem smaller. A glance sideways revealed that Owl didn't look too pleased with him and he wondered if he should roll on his belly and apologise. If he did she could tear right into him and that thought alone made him choose to just be obedient.
Ever quipped him with wise words and he looked down sheepishly, clearly having mistaken her for a more dominant wolf. Was that a good thing or a bad thing, he did not know. Her offer to assist him, however, took him by surprise. A flattened ear perked in her direction and he mumbled, "I would only distract others on a hunt. I was never taught how." It shamed Ender to speak of his inexperience but he would rather tell them now than embarrass himself out in the field.
Before there was time to add much else, Elya asked if he thought they were pretty. This completely knocked Ender's guard down and he was a blushing mess before the three wolves. "I-I mean," Oh geez you're stuttering Ender, pull yourself together.
"You're certainly all on the m-more attractive side, generally speaking." Now that his defenses had been invaded, it was pretty clear to see he was nothing more than an anxious wolf. He was usually looking up at the world from the eyes of a low ranked creature but now that they all spoke overtly with him, he was confronted with topics he didn't usually bother with; such as the beauty of the wolves. He hadn't noticed it before but, yes, all three were indeed beautiful and he felt very self conscious of his own appearance. His hip bones protruded from his hind, ribs to spare and fur that lacked nutrition.
Noticing Elya gathering her things, he skittered into place by her. This was not before he crawled up to Owl and tried to lick her jaw submissively. Pleasedon'tbitemepleasedon'tbiteme. "I am sorry, Owlet," he tried to make peace with the healer to avoid further instances where she might get her revenge. He surprised himself by calling her that, a nickname that he had never vocally expressed to her. Quickly returning to Elya he nodded his head to Ever, not lowering himself this time (despite all his instincts telling him to) so that she could see he had listened to her words. "I'm sorry I could never be of help to you hunting but if I could make it up to you and join you and Owl with the berry search, I will." That said he fell silent and staunched after Elya,
cradling the herbs in his mouth like he had seen her do. Despite Ender's rank, he walked with incredible grace and loped along the ground with good paces. Food and training could turn him into something more.
Keeping up with Elya, his nose twitched in order to find her den. It smelled of a great many plants and he stopped outside it, not daring to enter her private home. "Where would you like these?"

MARLOWE
[gender: female] . [age: four] . [rank: hunter] . [tagged: timber] . [mentions: ygritte]

It caused Marlowe discomfort to see the alpha so torn up in his thoughts. She believed all had suffered but Timber's stress made Marlowe think that this depressive attitude was worse than some. He knew the lead warrior, Carlisle, had lost a mate. Others had lost siblings. There was a great deal of agony in the hearts of her packmates. Marlowe counted herself blessed to have her sister still by her side. She couldn't imagine having lost Iona or worse, a puppy like Timber's Lacy. Lacy ad been Marlowe's friend in a way and through it, she had come to know Timber a little more than most. She knew that this was not his usual self. "You must hold your head high despite your supposed failure of this past winter. If the rest of the pack see you down,
they will imitate your mood. Hold your head high and your feet firm in the soil, your work on this earth has not finished yet.
        "
Having said that, she nudged the food towards him again, a little more persuasively. "I have eaten and now you will. Once that is done you, too, will have the strength to come with me and hunt. Two of us could perhaps find a goat near the edges of the territory. Mind the horns and we could bring a feast back. If you helped, the wolves will see and their spirits will be lifted."
Marlowe knew from hunting where certain game could be found. Wild goat was obtainable with two or three wolves and they lived just outside pack land. The hunters before her had taught her that and she would continue their legacy of lessons even now that they had died. Wild boar could be taken rarely down with any less than four. It took five to eight in order to damage an elk. These were numbers that the pack simply didn't have anymore. They would have to live off goats and rabbits until pups came through and matured enough to contribute to the numbers. Marlowe herself wanted puppies, a great many, so that she could train them to be hunters and warriors. Until that time, she could only serve those around her, Timber included.
"Your company may be more useful than just to help hunt, too," she began, her memory coming into place as she recalled the warnings of other hunters. "There is a lone wolf I believe, who lives near those parts. It would be wise for an alpha or beta to confront her if we should cross paths," Marlowe suggested. She had heard of a brown, near red she-wolf that had been stealing a few of the pack's stored away prey. Unsure of what Timber would make of this, she waited for a response. If Timber did not wish to come, Marlowe would have to track different prey and avoid loners. It was not her place to fight them, she was not an alpha.

IONA

Iona was already thinking that she may have to chase this wolf out or face her in battle if there was any hostility. Being a warrior, Iona felt she had the upper hand but still it was dangerous for wolves to fight one on one. Spilling blood was a last resort. Luckily, the stranger didn't seem dangerous at all, another surprise that came with meeting her. Iona had never met a wolf like this one and strained her ears to listen to each word.
Familiar? Iona tried to recall having ever seen this wolf in the area before but she was sure she would know if she had. "I would remember you by your eyes, so alas, I have never seen nor smelt you here. I am but one wolf, though. Others may know more." She could see that the loner held herself high, clearly not from a pack. If she had a pack, she would act like her rank and only alphas stood the way she stood. Intriguing. This was Iona's first encounter with a loner. She wondered what the protocol was for this sort of thing. Knowing Timber, whom treated all kindly, she would not be kicked away. Considering the low pack numbers, perhaps she would be better welcomed.
When the stranger asked about herself, Iona gave a soft laugh. "Me? I have never seen you before in my life, though..." she couldn't quite put her tongue on it but she seemed to have the same physical build as someone she knew. Iona groaned at her brain stumble but the groan turned to a suspicious growl as Night moved closer. Iona quickly saw that she was non-threatening and relaxed. In fact she found her paws moving her forward in curiosity until they were right in front of each other.
Iona's hackles were raised but her tail wagged like some domestic dog. "I am Iona. Do you not know who you are? Perhaps someone in my pack may have answers," she suggested, nose twitching. She smelled like someone but again, Iona just couldn't place it. The energy of having found this loner made Iona antsy and if anything, she wanted to drop into play and chase this wolf around for all the fun it was worth until she was breathless. She felt she was in the company of friend or, just maybe, pack family.

owl female three years and seven months lead.healer tags.ender, ever, elya location.camp love.interest timber

owl tracked down with her eyes elya as she leaved the small group. the lead healer wasn't going to get her back, after all it was her choice and it seemed that the negativity overwhelmed her. owl felt a sting in her heart, did she look so cruel, did she just displayed a horrible act of dominance? she felt her fur bristle around her neck as her eyes widened for a couple of seconds. her ears fell slowly on her back, showing regret. and now, what was the difference between her and an alpha or beta or a high rank that got angry over a foolish act of an omega. and still, with all these feelings overwhelming her mind, owl payed close attention to her surroundings.
ender's act surprised the healer, making her unintentionally back off a bit. instead of wrinkling her nose once more, owl just stood, accepting the male's excuse and still surprised after being called after a nickname she never heard. but she liked it... the female printed a vague smile on her maws in return and slightly nodded towards him, a sign that she was apologizing too.
hearing ender's offer to go with her in search of blackberries the wold responded
"if i will ever need your help, i will call you. maybe later this day."

gazing elya and ender as they were leaving her sigh, owl turned her head to ever. "well it seems as we are the only two remaining. have any idea of how we should spend our time?' asked owl as she raised one of her hind legs to scratch behind an ear. feeling the itch disappear, the female put her leg back down and added "elya has just got a good amount of herbs and i think that we no longer need any unless we will get some as prevention"
one of owl's ears twitched at the words 'lone wolf'. she tried to bury them deep in her mind and let them stay there, hidden, yet they seemed like they wouldn't let her alone. as the sun was shifting it started to lay its rays in her eyes. stopping the wolf from seeing anymore and hurting her sight, owl changed her position, so now the rays were stopping on an old pine tree.
"ever, if timber and marlowe might go after that lone wolf, should we accompany them? who knows if he or she if wounded? maybe we will be able to give them something at least only to diminish any pain that it might have at that moment."

x Fallen Timber Leaves ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
( nickname: Timber ) x x ( rank: alpha ) x ( mood: overwhelmed ) x ( location: pack ) x ( crush: none ) x ( tags: Marlowe, Owl, Silent, Iona )
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

xxxxxxxxxAs Marlowe spoke kindly he could feel his spirits begin to rise again. Marlowe was a kind she-wolf who always was trying to look out for the sake of the pack, and it's best interests. Marlowe was one of Timber's close allies and often he found her to be a comfort to him. So her sweet voice was not filled with lies, but comfort and positive thoughts. Just as Timber needed in his life.
xxxxxxxxxJust then, Marlowe mentioned a lone wolf. Timber had smelled many wolves across his path, and a few that lingered very close to the pack. Often, Timber cast them aside. Especially during the winter. Even when they had a pack, the wolves were still starving. So a lone wolf had hardly a chance of survival. So when squirrels or rabbits became missing, he let it slide more than once. But Timber expected the loners to dwindle and disappear as the spring rolled around. But the loner's scents became stronger and closer.
xxxxxxxxxAs if on cue, Timber could hear Iona talking on the forest edge. The voice that she spoke to was a new sound, a voice that Timber had never heard before. "Marlowe, come over here with me, if you wish. I think a loner has wandered into our territory." He said, before wondering to the warrior and the loner wolf. He approached them, his head held high, showing his confidence and display his high rank. He stood beside Iona, taking a long look at the loner. She had pale ebony fur, but a posture that displayed a kindness to her.
xxxxxxxxx"Hello," the alpha said, cautious of the strange female. "My name is Fallen Timber Leaves. I am the alpha of this pack. May I ask who you are, and why you are in my pack?" His deep voice said, not shaking or showing any signs of fear. The female looked gentle, and did not seem to be a threat to anyone. But the alpha's job was to protect the pack. And if this fae was a threat to anyone, she would be taken care of swiftly and by him. Not another wolf shall be hurt in his pack.

x Every Sunny Sky ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
( nickname: Ever ) x x ( rank: healer ) x ( mood: positive ) x ( location: pack ) x ( crush: none ) x ( tags: Owl, Fang, Elya, Ender )
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

xxxxxxxxxEver watched as Ender and Elya departed. Giving a slight smirk, Ever smiled at Elya. She often displayed herself as a calm and shy wolf, and it gave Ever a spark of joy to see the fae standing up for herself and taking charge of something that did not involve healing or herbs. It was a wonderful change of pace. Ever's heart glowed as Ender walked by Ever, not displaying a bow or submissive behavior. At least Ever knew that she somewhat broke through to the male to show that ranks were nothing but an order. Not something that a wolf should stick by, or be judged over.
xxxxxxxxxOwl's voice took the attention away from the brute and fae walking away, herbs in their mouth. The other healer suggested going to her brother, and helping with the loner. Shaking her head to say no, Ever said, "No, I tend to be a pushover when it comes to loners. I think we should bring them all in. I have a terrible sense in character and would probably let in a cereal killer wolf in if it was not for wolves with good heads on their shoulders. But I think you should join them. You are a strong confident fae with good perspective. Oh, and if you do make up a hunt, please include me. It would be nice to hunt with a pack, instead of just myself."
xxxxxxxxxNodding her head in a friendly bow, Ever decided she should back away from her brother and the wolves that were surrounding the loner. Too many wolves, especially with her, could make the situation sticky and confuse the big picture. Which was the safety of the pack. So ever departed through the pack, her head high, still trying to hear the conversation that the wolves were having with the loner. But soon, she was too far out of earshot to hear anything besides their mumbles. Before Ever knew where she was headed, the sight of Fang entered her vision.
xxxxxxxxx"Good morning White Fang." Ever said, stopping before the hulking brute to greet him with a joyful smile. "I see you went hunting this morning. You, uh, have some blood on your lower chin." Ever pointed out, trying to help the brute.

A vibrant pink tongue flashed against the stained white muzzle hairs. It shifted from his lips to clean off his paws while a hind leg scratched at the cluttered pelt. The dark claws snagged some of the loosely stuck items, flicking them into the air before it fell back to the open floor. This small routine continued on for a moment until a yawn erupted from the back of Fang's throat. Luckily his teeth weren't stained with the blood of the rabbit and returned back to their pearly white stature. His muzzle closed with a snap when a voice spoke up in front of him. An eyebrow raised slightly at the sight before him before a slight snort escaped his nose. "Good morning love," The alpha's advisor began, sitting up to speak to the female in a proper matter. "Why yes, that would seem so."
Due to his rather 'avoidable' personality, the two wolves haven't spoken much. Well besides the usual on what's going on around camp or if he needed some sort of healing for a fight or a mild sickness. Just a professional relationship was kept between the two, much like he kept with everyone else. It's been a lot harder to open up since Silent's disappearance for him. And while being in a sitting position, he appeared to be so much larger than the female. Thankfully she didn't look intimidated. "How has your morning been? I noticed you were quite occupied with the other healers early this morning. " That small group of females were ones he did not wish to mess with or get on the wrong side of. Sure the white beast wasn't intimidated by anyone, but he sure had a high level of respect for them. Not to mention having a small paranoia of any of them poisoning his meal if he twisted their tails the wrong way. But he is protective of the healing wolves; having snapped at adolescents for being blatantly rude toward them. Before the winter hit that is.

White Fang's deep forest gaze caught lovely shade of yellow that the healer possessed, giving her face a warm glow. She was a pretty female, her white pelt always appearing bright and well taken care of compared to his dingy fur. Not to mention her general soft personality. Ever reminded him of his own sister in many ways. It caused his dark heart pain every now and then, having the desire to just attempt to become close to the female and perhaps fill the void of what he has lost with another. But that just wasn't his personality, the way the brute did anything. Instead the healer would be treated like every other female. The strong gaze of his broke eye contact for a moment scan her small body. Her body mass has decreased from what it used to be, being quite thin to what she was before. "Have you eaten yet today?" The deep base and possible rasp in his voice sounded as if he had just woken up,"As I did go hunting, there is a rabbit available to eat. If another heathen didn't steal it already."

Silent Night couldn't help but notice the conflicted pack wolf's stance on her. It appeared as if Iona wanted to be aggressive yet with the wagging of her light colored tail as well as a slightly mischievous glint in her eye, it seemed like she wanted to play. Play like young pups under the careful watch of the other pack members yet not worried about anything themselves. But the cautious side of her took place before the side that wanted a friend. The low growl as well as a step forward set her off, bringing a slight flinch to the body of the ebony pelted wolf before relaxing once again. Her scent held another was seemed vaguely familiar yet it rang no bells. A little smile broke across her face, reaching up and lightening up her bicolored eyes. It was the first time Silent had interacted with a decent wolf. One that engaged in conversation and didn't try killing her on sight. Some wolves were like that; scarcely protective over the little prey that rested inside the territory of theirs.
Her maw opened slightly to respond yet another voice filled the space hers would. Being caught by surprise, the female shrank back about a foot away from the white and brown pack wolf. Sharply pointed ears flattened against her skull for a moment, taking in the new wolf that appeared next to the first. Iona was different, females usually tended to be less aggressive toward loners as she's seen compared to males. The males got aggressive and violent. They meant trouble. Silent's hackles rose slightly while trying to maintain her composer. She wasn't there to be a threat. She was there to figure out why they seemed to familiar.

But a single name made her freeze. Not just anyone had the same name. Fallen Timber Leaves. That was familiar. That set off a single alarm. It didn't bring back many memories. But she knew him. Her ears perked back up like a young pup being told that a moose or any other large game had been caught. Both blue and green eyes widened before inching a cautious step closer. "Timber? I think I know you," The female's voice came out soft as she casted a glance toward Iona. She trusted the female slightly as she didn't attack on sight. There wasn't any aggression from either of them of course but the male hasn't proven himself yet. Even if there was familiarity of him. "I'm Silent Night, do you know who I am at all?"
Being as risky as it was, the female rose to her full height. To many wolves of power it may appear as dominance or even threatening behavior. Yet her tail remained down with her head turned slightly to the left of the male. But the vibrant colors of her blue and green eyes gazed into the deep brown ones of the alpha in front of her. There was something about his ebony pelt that was way too familiar to her. He too had a scent lased within his own that resembled another. Perhaps the pack knew something she didn't. Her gaze shifted from his eyes for a moment to scan over Timber's body. She took notice of the scar on his cheek and his tall body. And though he appeared muscular, weight loss must have hit him as hard as everyone else. Silent Night took a moment to process before making eye contact again. The traveler was close enough to the two pack wolves for them to notice her scent.

xxxxxxxThe sigh was resigned and weary. It signalled the end of deliberate effort and the beginning of passive deterioration. It was a sigh so quiet that it went unnoticed, it's sound and it's movement dissipated out into the vastness of the world and made no effect at all. It was not the start of any butterfly effect. But in the anxious healer's life, it was a pivotal turning point. It was the moment she gave up. Elya trudged mournfully along the patterned roots, manipulating her paws through the degrading spaces between them, although she was now in a pleasant company she felt more alone than ever. Her mental wellbeing had never been at a high, it even went to show that the omega of all wolves was more confident than her. It often reminded her if she wasn't good with herbs she would fit perfectly into the role of the 'underclass' as they called it. Blending in the fading background, it seemed she was alternating that way anyway. The thing with Elya's mental side was, she had her highs and her lows, like any other wolf, but it seemed to her that they were more drastic and frequently changing more so then the herbs she replaced. Leaving her in a spiral she couldn't control.

As they reached the camp Elya's gaze folded upon the male, she squinted her eyes humorously at his lack of ability to handle herbs. The den was scarred with deep chisels, a burrow for each species of herb, the lupin made her way around each one nudging Ender to follow. The haughty silence she felt she might have implied diminished as the omega spoke, almost making her jump slightly. "Don't' fret with intruding, -" She countered "No one else feels the need to..." pausing she recollected her melancholy aura. The Omega didn't need this more then he has already. Elya's breath seemed to stutter in her lungs before she let it go, feeling the tension drain from her body. Her breathing returned to normal and he felt as if she could face the lupin more pleasurable. She progressed her snout through her protein storage further back. A couple of dead mice, a rat and a blue tit lay. She used their bones for medicine and their meat for protien. But since no wolf was in desperate measures of attendance Elya had a second thought. The poor male in her presence was the one in need of attending his torso was more lenient then hers - "Here, let's swap " She hummed happily for once, picking up the three animals dropping them at his paws. "You will need your strength if you want to make a good chew toy," She said in a joking manner. Her lips hung in an odd smile as she turned back to replace the herbs.
