lakeclan is one of many descendencies. the main part of their lineage comes from the ancient clan that used to reside besides water, riverclan. however, there is a small percent of tribal blood mixed in with ancient clan blood. lake, the founder of lakeclan, showed both traits. he was a cat who loved water, and longed to live with others in a safe, secluded home. he traveled the area around his lonely barn, and talked to many cats, several who wished to join lake on his travels. however, after several moons of finding nothing, the cats began to turn on one another and fight. lake, fed up with how his followers were acting, turned and abandoned them.

it was that night that lake settled down away from the group. he was visited by a mysterious she-cat, a pretty calico at that. he thought what he was seeing was a dream, but he realized that the she-cat had a starry pelt. he had heard stories of cats like this, and others had claimed that they came from a place called starclan. lake never believed in them, until he saw her in front of him. "lake, you must tame your group. little do you know how much power you and them contain together. tomorrow regroup and journey to a small cave, with a stone jutting from it. go when the moon is high. there you will speak to your ancestors and learn what it takes to become a clan." with that, the she-cat disappeared into thin air. lake, unable to sleep, returned to his group.

the next day, as lake and his group were traveling, lake passed a shiny pebble. the sight made him back track and return to pick it up. he felt inclined to take it with him. he picked it up, and just as the moon was rising, found the cave the she-cat talked about. there, he wandered in, finding a small stream. he jumped over, and faced a small pool. there, he put the pebble in the water and in turn received his nine lives. he regrouped with his cats and told them of the experience and starclan. most of his cats believed him, but those who didn't left, leaving a quiet vengeance hanging in the winter air. lakestar then preceded to give his cats proper names, and appointed his first deputy, stormflame. it was not long after that the clan established their own territory around a lake, not far from the mooncave.

generations later, lakeclan is still thriving. however, threats are closing in on the clan, causing the clan to make tough decisions. natural disasters ontop of outside predators are threatening to push lakeclan out of their territory. will they survive or will they meet their demise?
