Seagulls cried out on the near shore, waved crashed with no relent against the beaten rocks and the familiar scent of sea salt hung in the morning air. Aleera opened her alarming, yellow eyes, blinking away the remains of sleep as she dug her claws into the soft sand beneath her lithe frame. The she-wolf licked her maw, ears twitching at each new sound as her long, bushy tail flicked back and forth, brushing against the cave walls. The warrior streched out her front legs, the muscles rippling and coat shining from the wet dew that hung thick in the air. Aleera closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the quiet of the morning. It seemed so peaceful in this moment, she rarely allowed herself to relax, not wanting to take the risk of her defences being down. The she-wolf was always awake at the crack of dawn, she didn't sleep much, always on the look out for potentail threats, her primal urge to protect her pack always present in the back of her mind.
Aleera heard movement from outside her den, her mocha brown fur bristled and she felt her top lip raise slightly, a growl forming in the back of her throat. The familiar salted scent of her cheif- Midas- then surrounded her and Aleera instantly relaxed, knowing the pack was safe. Recognising that he wanted to begin organising the morning patrols the she-wolf rose from her cacoon of warmth. Shaking the sand from her thick, dense coat Aleera slunk out of her den, watchful eyes taking in her surroundings. The thick condensation in the air clung to her fur, almost like it was trying to weigh her down- trap her.
Aleera's upper lip rose in discontent due to the uncomfortable feeling as she made her way to the large boulder where her chief was preparing to make his announcements, his off-white and tan pelt almost merging into his surroundings. As she gazed up at his form that commanded respect and attention, the she-wolf pondered on why anyone would want to split from the pack and she felt disgusted that any wolf would betray their leader in that way. Aleera kept to the back, not wanting to speak to anyone but close enough so that she could listen to any discussions that may take place. She hoped that she could go out on patrol, the need to stretch her limbs almost overbearing.

♧Zander♧

Something sharp pricked against Zanders obsidian nose. The sweet scent of dew and the rainforest invaded his senses as he cracked open one amber eye, his yellow-flecked gaze zeroed in on the blade of grass that was pricking his sensitive maw. The warrior blew out a heavy breath of air that clouded white once it escaped the heat of his body, the force sent the pesky blade of grass bending sideways like an acrobat before it returned to its original position.
With a sigh Zander rose on his strong, muscular limbs, shaking his head to get out of his distracted mindset as his large mouth opened in a yawn that showcased two rows of gleaming, sharp fangs. His rust coloured coat gleamed orange as the sun rose from it's deep sleep, highlighting the sky with breathtaking hues of pink and violet. Zanders eyes twinkled with mischief as he looked around the camp, excited at what this day may bring. His bright gaze flitted over his familiar surroundings as he noticed his cheif- Marzena- was absent, with only a faint twinge of her sweet, flowery scent remaining in the air. He shrugged it off, respecting the fact that even leaders needed a moment to relax and collect their thoughts.
Zander pondered on what his activities for the day may be as he stalked towards the two boulders where announcements we're usually made, his footfalls making no sound as he skillfully avoided any debris and spread his weight absentmindedly so that he will be completely silent as he moved, something that he perfected quickly as an apprentice. When he reached his destination, the young warrior sat on his haunches, ears swaying in various directions as he remained alert for any threats as he gazed up to watch the sky transform before his eyes as the sun made its ascent.
