    -FALLCLAN-
"Listen to the falls and let their waters cleanse you of the sickness..."

    Branchfrost wrote:
"What are you doing out here? Hush now, quickly-- come in before they see you! There...they have passed...do you have the stench of sickness? That dreaded scent which has brought this horrid plague? No...I do not smell it on you and you look to be healthy, for now. I suppose you are wondering what has happened to us. To this clan...well, even I do not fully know at the moment. It all started about a moon ago. The forest had grown eerily quiet as of late, like the calm before a storm. The creatures we once hunted were turning into carrion before we could even eat them, but what was even odder were the other animals and predators that dwelled within these woods. Foxes, bobcats, badgers-- they were not...right. At first, we just believed some of them to be more hostile simply due to the dwindling prey, but they had a vile stench to them, it tasted sickly in the air, like a living corpse rotting from the inside out. These rabid animals would become bold and crazed, even daring to attack a group of full-fledged warriors! That is when all this trouble began..."

"You see young one, our warriors would return back to camp battered and torn from the rise of these aggressive encounters. Cats would have wicked gashes or feverish wounds that would refuse to heal despite our medicine cat's efforts. They would claim a crazed fox or bobcat had rushed at them without pause or thought to their own well being-- this... is not the normal behavior of any creature. When a warrior would return with these festering wounds, within hours they would begin acting... strange. More aggressive. As if they were no longer themselves."

"Forgive me, give me a moment. It is just hard to recall all these painful memories... Our clanmates that became infected would begin to become hostile within a few days, muttering to themselves and lashing out at others with a wild glazed look to their eyes. Within a week we began to see them truly change. One young warrior went completely berserk, white foam frothing at the edges of his mouth as his gaze was completely insane and void of consciousness. He lashed out at his apprentice, nearly tearing her apart as he roared with incoherent rage before the others were forced to put him down. He was not the cat he was before the virus took hold of him, but those he had wounded had also become feverish and showed the same symptoms as he did in just days. It was then we began to realize what true peril we were all now in."

"It only took less than a moon! A single week really, before others began to go mad with rage and attacking their family, siblings, clanmates, even doing harm to themselves-- It didn't matter. Once you had the infection there was no hope for you or any that you scratched or bit into. I watched my clan tear themselves apart, before finally, those that were still healthy, fled. We ran for our lives, our very existence, as the crazed and maniacal yowls of our once trusted friends and clanmates followed at our heals like predators chasing their prey."

"Hush now, be quiet! I think I hear some of them returning. Can't you smell it? The infection in the air-- that sour taste. What? Ah... so you've finally noticed. Yes, I was scratched by our deputy who I was forced to kill in order to save my apprentice's life from his attack, but no matter what herb or concoction I used to try and heal this, there is no cure for the rabid disease. But do not fret over me young one, I have no intention of slowly going mad like the rest. This old medicine cat still has some fight in him left yet."

"Now, go quickly! Out the back, I shall buy you some time. No, do not argue with me. I am now a lost cause but do not let this opportunity go to waste. You must have gotten separated from the others when this outbreak happened back at camp, correct? I can see the sadness in your eyes, but fear not, there is still hope for those of you who have not been infected. Just beyond this hallow, a good half-a-day's walk from here, you will happen upon a set of torrent filled waterfalls. Though they may look impenetrable at first glance, they are actually our sanctuary. Those who made it out of our previous home took refuge there behind those watery vales. Just beyond the white falls is a network of caves and hallowed out dens. Search this place out, regroup with whoever may have survived, and stay alive and well hidden."

"Listen? They are nearly upon us now. That foul stench is so close. I can hear their rasped breaths and haunting growls just above us. You must leave, now! Do not look behind you no matter what you may hear. I will not let them come after you, I swear to you this. Find the falls young warrior, stay forever hidden and as far away from any cats or predators that you saw infected back at our previous camp. Though they may wear the same faces of those you once knew they are no longer the kin you grew up with. Their warrior spirits have long since left their bodies to join Starclan as soon as they were ridden with that putrid disease, leaving behind only an empty husk which slowly rots away from within and infects others they touch."

"They are clambering to claw their way in now. Hurry, be swift! Out the back and don't stop for anything or anyone till you reach the falls! I will keep them at bay as long as I am able, so do not fear, do not weep, you are the future of this clan little one, and Fallclan now looks to you to help them live another day in this now bleak and dark world...survive is all I ask of you. Survive and protect what is left of Fallclan. May the watery vales cleanse you of any sickness and may Starclan have mercy on us all..."

    -RULES-
    ●____________________●

➸ All of Tess's rules apply.

➸ This is a High-Literate RP. I expect at the very least three full paragraphs of five-six sentences with correct punctuation, grammar, and spelling. I do understand writer's block, but if you join this roleplay then you should always be able to post full well-written paragraphs that have at least something in it. Embellish it if need be, but two paragraphs or less with only four sentences each is not acceptable here.

➸ There will only be six spaces open within this RP. This is to keep omens and prophecies centered around these six individuals and to keep them closely interacting with one another as we work to weave an intricate tale together. You may only reserve one slot for one character of the chosen six if they are still open.

➸ Keep the genders even. I can not stress this enough, I will not allow uneven genders in this RP so please keep this in mind when creating your forms and reserving a slot.

➸ Also, please be sure to make your posts well written and easy to read. Pretty posts are indeed fine, but glitter graphics and the such are not allowed.

➸ Please be sure to also turn off your signatures while you are posting your replies. This also keeps everything neat and coherent with our posts.

➸ I will not provide any forms for you. Instead, I wish to see you create your own form to show your literacy. Also, please give detailed and well thought out histories/personalities for your chosen character. Feel free to use the short bio of the slot you chose to build your character off of.

➸ Do NOT post your forms or questions here without PMing me first. All forms and reservations must be messaged to me for acceptance into the RP. Only when I give you the 'Okay' to post your form then you may do so. After I have accepted your form please post them in the Form Applications thread here. Let's try to keep the thread clean so we may all see our characters with ease and avoid confusion.

➸ If you would like one of your characters to be a sibling to one of the other roleplayers or myself then you may go to the Fallclan Discussion thread in asking so. This adds a little more interaction with RP's if you're looking to add more to your cat's history, which I encourage and love to see. Also, romance; this I encourage as well, as long as it is in good taste and thoughtfully played out. Absolutely no Mary or Gary sues will be accepted while roleplaying in this thread. If you wish to have love interests or relationships, be sure to discuss it with the user before adding it to your form. All relations and family-related felines will be recorded on the front page for others to refer to.

➸ The role of the future Leader and Deputy will be chosen within the RP. Due to the outbreak, this is to help convey a broken clan and to give more tension between characters while we see if any emerge as leaders for those who are left. This is to add drama to the story and give different interactions to others.

➸ This is mainly a survival warrior's RP. Much drama and character development will ensue during writing, so if you wish to develop a new character of yours then this place is a good thread to start. I also love to work with others on plot twists, romantic interests, and story progression. If you wish to PM and discuss any ideas you may have then please do not hesitate to do so or post in the RP's Discussion thread.

➸ There are limited slots open for this RP so be sure to check what is available. Also, I will only hold reservations for five days to give you time to create your character and form. Since this is a high-literate roleplay I do understand if you may take some time to write your applications, but if I do not hear back from you on the fifth day your slot shall be open and available to another.

➸ I do not expect you to post every day. I want this RP to be well thought out and with a driven story, but try to post at least once or maybe twice a week if you are able.

➸ If you are inactive for more than two weeks or have yet to inform without giving me some explanation as to your absence, then your cat shall be removed and the open slot will be up for grabs. This also means your cat may be killed in the RP as well to keep with the story.

➸ Most of all, have fun! You may always PM me if you need to ask me any questions or just wish to inform me of your absence. I am very understanding of this and will always try to work with you on RP plot ideas and character development.

    -TERRITORY-

─ᴄᴀᴍᴘ: Fallclan's territory is vast and expands as much of the pine forest mountain that the clan cats can patrol within a day. The camp's location is now currently located safely tucked behind the waterfall that they call their refuge, instead of their old home among the open pines that is overrun with the stench of death.

It is here that those few left of what remains of Fallclan shelter behind the falls, safe from predator and foe alike who are infected with the rabid disease. What little prey is found is kept safely tucked behind the cool rocks, and on pale sunny days, the survivors will dare to fish among the shallow streams below the falls. All Fallclan cats slumber behind the safety of their watery vale. The chambers behind such a curtain contain cave structures which help house the remaining warriors left alive.

The Medicine Cat's den, however, is located towards the back of these caves, where a small fracture in the stone ceiling above allows a shimmer of pale light to shine through. It is here that the last medicine cat works to grow and cultivate rare herbs upon the mossy stones which lay below the shaft of light. This process is unknown to any other clans and the healers take great care to tend to their small and delicate gardens in hope for a cure. Without the blessing of Starclan they must do everything they can to ensure that the clan is healthy and strong. Very few have retained their faith after the destruction of their previous camp-- but the medicine cat still believes.

─ғᴏʀᴇsᴛ: The dense pinewood forest rises skyward all around Fallclan's territory. However, the clan cat's true skills emerge when confronted with water. Many of the felines are quite skilled at swimming and Fallclan cats are known for their sleek furs and strong muscles which help them swim against the forceful currents of their current home.

Most will not mind getting their pelts wet and even enjoy taking a dip when in the hot green-leaf weather. However, these dense woods also hide predators as well- Bears, lone wolves, bobcats, golden eagles, and much more linger within its dark depths. the six remaining survivors are not allowed to venture out alone without another to watch their back, and even then there is still a great risk of being attacked and infected by the sick. Those who become scratched or bitten are not to return home, instead, many opt to simply 'die a warrior's death' while some try to hide their doom from others...

─ᴘʀᴇʏ: The clan cats are a lean and sturdy feline type who excels at both rocky terrain and fishing. Much of their staple diet comes from the rivers and streams near the falls, but they are opportunists as well, never forgoing a passing meal such as the mice, vole, and birds which inhabit their pine lush forest. However, these days they avoid any mammalian type prey. Only the fish which swim in the fall's depths are unharmed by the rampant disease, and thus, have become the Fallclan cat's main source of sustenance as they hide from the world in their watery sanctuary.

    -THE SIX-

        {{ the lone healer↲

You are the last healer of your clan. Your mentor, Branchfrost, taught you everything that he knew, and it feels like only a few moons ago that you were given your medicine cat name. You are still unsure of your abilities and knowledge of healing, but despite your uncertainty, you are now the only one left to tend to what is left of your clan. However, you harbor a dark secret. Starclan never gave you or Branchfrost any warning about the coming plague or destruction of your clan. Your ancestors have been silent for many moons now, and it was your mentor, not Starclan, that told you of the sanctuary behind the falls. You have been lying to your clanmates that Starclan is still with them, guiding their pawsteps to the protection of this place. When in truth, your starry ancestors had abandoned you all long before the plage came. Now you carry this terrible secret within your heavy heart as you struggle with your own dwindling faith. You can't bring yourself to tell the others that Starclan has left them all to their own fate, and now struggle with if you should stay or leave this place. Those who are left look to you for guidance and hope, to tell them Starclan has truly abandoned them would shatter what is left of their world. You remain silent...

          x Songbird → 36 moons → she-cat → Benathorn → app

        {{ the broken warrior↲

You are one of the few warriors now left. You were there at the very beginning, the moment when the first cat, your brother, was bitten. You witnessed him slowly go mad and tear apart his own apprentice before he turned on you and your clanmates. At first, you were unable to move, unable to strike down your kin, as you watched in sheer horror as he tore into that young apprentice while she yowled for you to help her. You finally knocked yourself out of that frozen fear as you delivered the final blow, but as you watched the life drain from his eyes something died in you at that very moment as well. You were able to escape that battle physically unscathed, but you were unprepared for the mental toll it would have on your spirit later on. Even now your dreams are still haunted by the apprentice's screams and the stench of rotting death as your dead brother stalks you in your nightmares. Now you are broken, your faith in Starclan severely shaken, and you wonder if perhaps you could have stopped this all from happening as guilt and grief threaten to devour what is left of your broken heart. After all, it was you that insisted that you both chase after the crazed fox you came across on patrol down its hollow. You never did tell the others where it had all originated from...

          x Paleriver → 31 moons → female → Jaculus → app

        {{ the hardened warrior↲

You are one of the few remaining warriors left. Strong and swift, you did not break when others faltered under the weight of this living nightmare. You were the one who killed both your leader and deputy without hesitation the moment they showed the faintest signs of turning. Some are suspicious of you for your lack of hesitation to kill, but you simply did what needed to be done. The warrior code has no place in such dark times. After all, Starclan did not warn your clan that it would be torn apart so violently, so you have no faith left in the dead and useless cats of the past who did nothing to help the suffering. You watched everything you loved die. Now all that matters is the present and those left living and you are one of the few who have grown hardened by this experience. You are determined to rebuild your clan from what is left, however, you firmly believe that hiding behind the falls will only bring a slow death to the few left alive. You insist that leaving is your only option, but that is easier said than done. You need the support of the medicine cat in order to do so, and she firmly believes in staying and has the support of the others. You are willing to do anything to keep what is left of Fallclan alive by any means necessary. Only the strongest survive after all...

          x Pikejaw → 62 moons → male → DracosCanine → app

        {{ the hopeful warrior↲

You are one of the few remaining warriors left. Within you there is still a faint flicker of hope. Hope for a future, hope that this is not the end of your clan, and most of all, hope that Starclan has not yet abandoned the few of you now left. Where others have lost their faith due to the plague, you refuse to give in to the overwhelming odds that stand against you now. However, you strongly believe that staying and rebuilding is the best course of action. Leaving would simply be suicide and none know what lies beyond the mountain peaks. The pine-filled mountains are all your clan has ever known, and to abandon your home now feels like a betrayal to all those who died so that you may reach the sanctuary of the falls. After all, it was your father, Pinestar, who gave all his remaining lives so that you and the others could escape. You watched as each of his nine lives dwindled from his ailing form, pushing you onward to the falls and making you promise that you would one day return Fallclan to what it once was. However, you were unprepared for his sudden death once you finally reached sanctuary. You haven't forgotten that the Hardened Warrior killed him without hesitation before he fully turned. You weren't even given the chance to say goodbye...

          x Nightspring → 47 moons → male → Patrochilles. → app

        {{ the vengeful warrior↲

You are one of the few warriors now left. You still recall with clarity the day this horrible living nightmare began. Over and over that scene still plays in your mind when the first warrior turned and tore apart their apprentice with a maddened frenzy. That apprentice was your younger sister, a kit that had just earned her apprentice name, and who had her whole future ahead of her. That future was cut viciously short as you watched those once hopeful eyes turn to shock and horror as she pitifully choked out your name one last time. You remember the sheer rage which bubbled within you at the loss, and ever since then, you do not hesitate to kill the rabid victims that wear your clanmates faces. A part of you relishes the satisfaction you garner from cutting them down, they are no longer the clanmates you once knew, they took everything from you after all. However, another part of you is deeply afraid of how far you'll go to gain justice for the murder of your kin. You blame the Broken Warrior for not stopping their brother from killing the apprentice. You curse the Lone Healer for not being able to cure this sickness. Yet most of all, you despise Starclan for abandoning you all to rot. Fallclan is dead, only the strong survive now...

          x Sootclaw → 30 moons → she-cat → lumos. → app

        {{ the lost warrior↲

You are one of the few warriors now left. The youngest of the remaining six, it was just last moon that you received your warrior name before all this chaos turned your world upside down. Badly injured on your frantic dash to the falls, you broke your front forepaw when you turned to face a pursuing rabid clanmate. You were ready to sacrifice your life to defend those you fled with, but you were pushed aside at the last moment as the clan deputy, your mother, took the blow instead to spare you a painful death. The fall knocked you unconscious and all you can remember hearing was the terrifying yowls of your clan falling apart all around you. It was only recently that you awoke, you now remain primarily within the medicine cat's den as your injuries are tended to. You feel useless in your current state and frustrated at your limitations, but are determined to heal and get back to helping your clan. However, you have noticed the others are wary of you. They do not know if any of your wounds are from the infected, and you do not yet know that the Hardened Warrior killed the deputy after she dragged your unconscious body to the safety of the falls. The full realization of what you have lost and what little is left of Fallclan has yet to be revealed to you...

          x Littlesplash → 14 moons → male → elliYEET → app

-SONGBIRD-
____________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________
||Healer of Fallclan||Age- 36 Moons|| ||Crush- "..."|| ||Gender- She-cat||Tags: Littlesplash

A dark perpetual night encompassed the slender calico she-cat. The endless black abyss seeped slowly into her very bones, causing her to wriggle in silent agony, as sea-green eyes stretched wide, searching desperately for some sign of familiar starlight-dappled coats of hope. However, there were none. Just that same empty void of unending darkness and an overwhelming scent of death and decay. The Fallclan medicine cat could feel the edges of her consciousness begin to stir, forcing her to retreat from her dreams that were once always shared with her starry ancestors, now only greeted each time with silence and a sense of abandonment.

Songbird was finally drawn back into the waking world. The subtle echo of the fall's entrance instilled a sense of calm to the she-cat, before suddenly she jumped up and retched beside her nest. The young feline had forced herself into slumber for the third time that day. The large amounts of poppy seeds she had consumed were slowly poisoning her small body as desperation for her clan drove the usually level-minded cat to such extreme measures. "Still nothing..." she whispers silently to herself, as her body expels the seeds to rid of the herbs she had used to force herself into such a deep slumber. "Is it true then? Have you really forsaken us, Starclan?" The medicine cat spoke solemnly to herself. Her soft green gaze cast skywards in quiet desperation towards the cold stone above. A single shaft of moonlight shimmered through a small crack in the ceiling, casting the mottled she-cat's den in a curtain of silver light, as it blanketed softly upon her mismatched fur. For a few moments she sat there gazing up in silence, not a single star in silverpelt shone, and thus, she was greeted once more without a word or sign to give them hope.

Songbird let her slender head fall slowly down towards her paws. Her ears cast back in defeat as her heart threatened to break once more. 'How long has it been now?' She thought dimly to herself. 'Nearly two moons and all but six of us are left.' Suddenly she could hear the voices of her clanmates from the previous few days echo around her. Questioning if they were even a clan anymore, if the medicine cat had heard anything from their ancestors, or that she and Branchfrost were to blame. That all was lost and that they would die a slow, painful death behind the falls. A clan now left to rot. A clan that had fallen... She shook her head violently to dispel such thoughts, "We have no leader, no deputy, and our ancestors are silent. Tell me, Starclan, is this punishment for my mistake?" Songbird hissed with stifled anger and confusion, only to slowly calm herself like so many nights before.

The memories of her now deceased friend and mentor still fresh in her mind as she felt her shoulders become burdened by the recent past events. She had to keep her faith, it was a cruel joke that some now said Fallclan was simply a clan meant to 'fall.' A name predetermined by fate to decide the outcome of the cats that was now nearly consumed and controlled by the rabid disease. The calico she-cat's body quivered slightly. The dangerous amount of concoctions she had consumed in search for answers now finally leaving her system as she dragged herself weakly to a stand. It was something she hid secretly from the others. She did not wish to worry those closest to her in the hopes that she could bring Starclan back to them once more. That, and she did not wish to harm wait laid deep within her. She shook her head, "You don't know for certain. Not yet... focus on the task at hand." She reassured herself before finally getting to her paws.

Songbird worked quickly to tidy up her den. The many herbs, and the small mossy grove garden in the back, instilling a natural calming aroma that distinguished the medicine cat's scent. Since both their leader, deputy, and senior medicine cat had succumbed to the disease. She was now the last to turn to for guidance-- an unfortunate event that has led some to believe that the medicine cats are to blame for being unable to heal those that they had lost.

'And would they not be right?' She wondered to herself, thinking of Sootclaw and Stormnose just then. 'A medicine cat is meant to heal her clanmates and guide them with the blessing of our ancestors...but now...I have neither of those to offer them. Only words of faint hope are now my only remedies to give to their broken spirits...' Songbird could feel that familiar anxiety bubbling deep within her chest. Its painful ache clutching at her heart as she clenched her teeth to stave off the pain. "I suppose it was only a matter of time before those forced slumbers would come back to bite me." She gasped to herself, waiting for the pain to subside before she finally stepped out of her cool dark nest and towards a slumbering small form.

Littlesplash laid resting in his nest near the den's entrance. His forepaw neatly bandaged with cobwebs and fitted with dried bark to set the broken appendage. A few wounds were also being tended to across his smaller frame. Carefully cleaned and set with soaked herbal leaves to hide and heal their marks. Songbird delicately sniffed at each one. No signs of the disease had shown itself yet, the medicine cat already knew its decaying stench too well, and her hopes for Littlesplash rose with each passing day. "Littlesplash..." She spoke softly, "It's time to wake. You're safe now behind the falls." Songbird laid her tail on his shoulder, recalling how his mother, the clan deputy, had dragged her son all the way here despite her grave wounds... before having to be put down by Pikejaw for bearing the sickness that haunted them so. She didn't know how she would tell the young warrior that they were what was left of the clan. For now, she simply focused on waking the slumbering warrior.

The blackened figure of a large tom stood on the out edge of the falls. Amber and gold being touched by moonlight, the cat's face was grim as he more so glared than gazed out through the cracks of the falls. His dark fur bristled still at the thought of what lay beyond his sight. Beyond the temporary protection of the wall of water and the caves. What horrid things lay beyond, the tom preferred never to see again as long as he lived.

"What a mess...", Pikejaw rumbled out loud as he released a stress laden sigh, "Starclan has abandoned us." The now oldest warrior's deep voice rumbled in his throat with a hum before he dared to turn away from his self-assigned watch. Better to be sure than risk turning his back at this point, but the other five cats needed to be addressed. The only 5 left of his entire clan. This thought weighed heavily on his heart, but there was little time to mourn. And he did not think himself to have such a luxury as he turned back into the caves. Deeds needed to be done before the night's end.

Walking slowly passed the group, he was careful and cautious to take in a large whiff of them as he strolled by, making sure for another time that none of them carried the curse. Less they spread it and wipe out Fallclan completely. "How is the young one?" He came to walk towards the medicine cat and her patient and turn those fire colored eyes on them with such hardened resolve, "He doesnt carry it, does he? I want to be sure none of us that are left are in immediate danger." The warrior more so took it upon himself to guard the few cats that were left despite what most thought of him. What he did was needed, but cruel in their eyes. However, it did not change the fact that dying a beast was far worse and dishonorable than at the teeth of a fellow clanmate.

Songbird heard the approach of heavy paw steps as her ears swiveled back to catch the deep voice of Pikejaw addressing her about their charge. The calico she-cat cast her forest green eyes to him with a subtle nod in greeting, unflinching to his resolved stare, as she met his gaze with one of her own. "He is still recovering." She spoke softly to the large warrior, careful not to wake Littlesplash as she turned to fully address the tom who stood much taller than the petite medicine cat. "As for if he carries the disease... I still do not yet fully know." She told him the truth. Though she was hopeful in his recovery she could not be certain until she could address Littlesplash when he was fully awake. The first signs would be erratic behavior and a slurred speech, none of which the young warrior had yet portrayed in his unconscious slumber.

Satisfied that his inquiry was perhaps answered for now, the medicine cat turned to absently busy herself with counting her dwindling herb stock before she spoke once more. "If the young warrior does have the sickness..." she paused momentarily, keeping her back to Pikejaw as she did so, "what will you do?" The bold question laid heavily in the air while Songbird continued to busy herself with organizing, as if it were but a normal conversation with a fellow clanmate. Most of their interactions had been about leaving the falls, but before she dared to touch the subject again with him there was something she needed to be certain of. She knew the question she asked was perhaps unexpected and a bit forthright, but she did nothing to change the subject despite it.

A part of her perhaps already knew the answer, but she had not been there to witness their leader's death or the demise of their brave deputy firsthand. She never said her finale goodbyes to Branchfrost before he sacrificed himself to buy them more time. Songbird felt that she needed to hear his answer to truly be certain of something, but the medicine cat did not give any indication of what that may be. Finally, after a long pause, she gave a side glance to the large tom to indicate she was waiting for his answer...

The older warrior silently listened to her answers and visibly tensed at her uncertainty of whether the young one was a carrier or not. Though he did not smell it on him, he needed to be sure, "I see. He doesnt carry the stench of it, but keeping an eye on him, and even the others would be best for at least a few days. Until we're sure." He needed to be sure. Part of him feared the terrible curse, the wild soulless eyes of his clanmates, his family tearing each other apart haunted him. And forever would. Even now he slightly took a breath to calm his nerves. Until he paused.

He was just about to turn around when he heard the she-cat's lowly spoken question. Her voice was soft but held a bit of unsurety and maybe even trepidation. "Songbird-", he rumbled as he curled his tail around his paws to stare down at her, "You're a smart cat. There is no cure no matter what herbs you try. You already know my answer as to what i must do, do you not?" He was a silent a moment to let it sink in, but not without a small sigh,
"Do not find me so cruel as to find joy in killing clanmates.. I could never be so cold, Songbird. Though, i hope the others see that in time. I am not blind. I see the fear and hate in their faces when they look at me now." The tom paused. His breath nearly seemed to hitch in his throat but his fire eyes remained stoic and almost unreadable, "I would rather my family die by my quick jaws than watch them slowly rot into nothing more than rabid, blood hungry beasts."

"But i am no killer. I do not have the luxury of mourning or hesitating while the clan suffers so. Things must be done. And sometimes its terrible things, but necessary."
