Personality: Dakota is a rather easy-going dog, preferring to stick with the pack and socialize with the other dogs rather than to separate himself from the crowd. He might be described as a bit dependent if you ask others, since he feels most at home when hanging with one of the dogs over a long period of time. Of course, being alone's alright as well, but he'd prefer the company of a close friend or two. Of course, when he's on the trail it's all seriousness; you make one wrong move out there in the snow and it could cost your team's safety, or even lives. Out on runs, he remains alert and aware of his surroundings, picking out little markers he's seen before or could possibly remember, just in case he's ever split from his team or his musher can't see what's ahead. Of course, as a team dog this doesn't help all too much, but he hopes to prove his worth someday to the team.
History: Kota's history wasn't all too interesting, especially given that he didn't have much tragedy in his life, nor much strife. Dakota was born to a studded-out show dog, one of five in his mother's first and last litter. While his coat and size were to kennel standard, his breeders received a generous offer to purchase him that they couldn't refuse. He and his littermates were sold to various homes, with him ending up in a sledding facility. As he grew, sledding grew with him, and so did the dogs he ran with. After being bought for his new team, the husky was given the chance to prove his worth, everything leading up to this moment: the starting line of the toughest race on Earth. [ice ice baby]
