Ryan pawed at his nose with annoyance before slowly getting to his feet with a yawn. He had been up earlier than any other dog and he had brought back a rabbit--a scrawny one but a rabbit nonetheless. But he wasn't about to argue with Quiver and be sharply reprimanded in return. He sprinted over to the two, wagging his tail apologetically, "I'm awake," he said, dipping his head, "Sorry for being late," he looked between the two and backed up a step, raising his paw inquisitively, "Am I interrupting something?" he asked, amused. He wondered if the two liked each other, the way they seemed around each other. He tilted his head and shrugged it off, looking behind him wistfully at his nest.

ECHO!!

    female | lead fighter | tagged; open
┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐

    large brindled ears honed in on the noises of fellow packmates, the sound pleasing to the ear, everything seeming to be tranquil at that moment. It was only a few mutters that she heard, as most seemed to still enjoying their slumber. Her senses became flooding into her the further she awakened herself, the dutch shepherd's head lifting, her seemingly innocent eyes wandering the abandoned room, once used by humans. It seemed that it was slowly crumbling away, degrading and deteriorating like so many other building in the area. However, it held up and sustained them so she would no long critique the building any longer. Besides, she had things to do and it was such a waste to just let early morning slip away. Muscles rippling as she raised her head higher from where she had laid it, her muzzle previously covered by her tail, as she has curled herself into a tight ball to preserve heat. She soon got up to her paws, barely suppressing her yawn as she padded to the prey pile.

Heaven - "There's Nothing Going on Between Us"

Postby awakening souls. » Fri Aug 04, 2017 8:30 pm

        [✤] HEAVEN [✤]
        xxxxxxxx age: 4 years, 3 months || gender: male || breed: border collie || role: scavenger || tags: quiver, ryan
        ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
        somewhat drowsy Heaven dipped his head in response to the female's short speech to show that he had acknowledged her words. The mention of the food pile provoked a series of low grumbles and gurgles in the canine's empty stomach. It hadn't been since the dawn of the previous day that he had even taken a nibble at something. The price that comes with being a scavenger... They always provided, but hardly ever consumed. "Good morning by the way." He snapped his head in the direction of Quiver, but her sweet smile had already faded before his compassionate, chocolate-hued eyes locked with hers. Soon thereafter, a flash of black fur bolted before the two dogs, his tail slicing through the air in repetitive motions. His suggestive query was definitely not anticipated, but it caused Heaven to swipe at his rounded snout in an attempt to conceal his admiration for the Blue Bay Shepherd. "Ryan," the scavenger began, but then clamped his jaws shut in order to keep any words he'd later regret from slipping out. He cast a miffed expression at the other male.

Libbs - "What is Coming is Better Than What is Gone"

Postby awakening souls. » Mon Aug 07, 2017 1:10 pm

        [❀] LIBBS [❀]
        xxxxxxxx age: 6 years, 1 month || gender: female || breed: unknown mix || role: co-leader || tags: open
        ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
        veryone had been snatching small morsels from the prey pile, but not once had it crossed Libbs's mind to steal a bite for herself. The mutt was too hung up on worrying about whether or not that creature she had spotted late last night through the window had somehow managed to creep inside the building. It was certain that it had seen her - those laser-red eyes beaming up from the pavement down below - but was it really set on harming her? Oh shush your racing thoughts, you dumb mutt! The damn thing is long gone by now. The co-leader had a habit of admonishing herself. Half the time, her pack-mates saw her as a simmering cloud of rage, but little did they know that she was constantly at war with her own mind, dueling it until things were "the way they should be." As far as they could tell, Libbs was a pile of rage on four legs. She wanted to be seen as more than that. She wanted to be able to have a simple conversation without the other party fearing she'd scold them for something minor. But in reality, Libbs just wasn't a softy. She had her sympathetic moments and a heart of gold, but the only individuals who ever had the pleasure of seeing her sweet side were either dead or had vanished a long time ago. Some days, no matter how much she cared for her pack, Libbs just wanted to be in the comfort of her own home, the large five story lodge she once resided in alongside her humans.

R Y A N

"Sorry, sorry," Ryan said, backing away and scuffing his paws into the ground slightly, "That's prying, right," He glanced between the two, only now aware that he had managed to make both the older dogs irritated at him. From where he was standing, he understood it wasn't exactly the best place to be. "Right..." Ryan said, shrugging slightly, "So where will we be going?"

Benson ||

Waking from a shiver up his spine, Benson lifts his head noticing the other active pack members. He lay under a broken down piece of, possibly what was once a set of shelves? He drowsily crawls from under said shelves and stretches out, his shepherd tail curling along his back. He was stiff but he was used to the feeling. He watched as some mingled and others make their way to the kill pile. Quiet mornings like these were ones he liked the most but, ever so rarely did the day that followed stay calm and quiet. His large paws made some of the boards underneath him sound with his weight as he sauntered to the kill pile. He scanned the pile and chose a rabbit for himself.

Loui ||

She had been awake for sometime now, she always woke early for some reason unknown. She lays her head on her paws,
watching the other conversing and getting ready for the day ahead. She liked their set-up and felt very safe among the others,
it was better than being alone...out there. She lifts her head and gives it a subtle shake then abruptly her stomach makes itself known by giving a low growl. Well I know what that means.., she thinks to herself. Loui staggers to her feet, almost taking a fall but quickly saving herself. Carefully she trots over to the kill pile, then quickly taking a squirrel. She keeps her head low as she heads back to her area to finish her meal.

    ── QUIVER ──
    [ female ] [ three years ] [ blue bay shepherd ]

    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

    Hearing Ryan's words, Quiver gave a small an odd look before slowly shaking her head. What was this male on about? Briefly, she glanced over at Heaven who did not seem too pleased by Ryan's words. "We were waiting for you, actually. We're exploring outside of her territory in some of the buildings that we haven't been into. If we don't find anything, we'll search the forest for prey." She explained to Ryan before padding away from the males to lead the way. "Come on, you know I don't like to waste time." She told them, picking up her pace to reach their destination quicker. Even though it was early in the day, she was always in a rush to complete something.

    Minutes later, they came across their first building. "We are mostly looking for food but, if you spot anything that may be useful to us, I'll see for myself." She said, wishing they had an even number of scavengers, so they did not have to split up. Alas they would have to stick together and could not cover more ground. She was a cautious and wary fae, not wanting anyone to be on their own. She explored the first level of the building, searching for the staircase that would lead them to the next floor once the were finished checking out the lower level. Some buildings had lost their staircase which meant they could not explore the next levels. She hoped that this building still had a functional staircase. Quietly, she made her way through the lower level, searching for any food or anything valuable to the pack. She sniffed the air, giving a small sneeze when dust entered her nose. Ugh, she hated old buildings because of the dust.
