- the fae hadn't eaten in weeks, only carcass left behind by other animals but it wasn't enough for her and the pups. her winter coat was keeping her warm, but it was hard to keep going with so little energy. there hadn't been any scarp of food around for days and she hadn't felt the pups moving around in a few weeks which was scaring her. they usually were moving around quite a lot each day. she was starting to loose hope, she was starting to give up on herself. but the voice inside her head that sounded like her mate told her to keep going. she didn't know where she was going, but she hoped to stumble into somewhere that would offer her food. not just for her but her pups. the risk of howling will cause draw to much attention towards herself, she remained quiet while dragging her paws along the freshly laid snow. she tripped up in the snow, possibly falling over a rock or roots. but, at this point she didn't want to get up, she couldn't force herself. but the voice inside her head kept telling her to keep moving, she wondered why. she opened her eyes to look ahead of her, there was nothing around. no trace of other wolves being around her no animals, just nothing. what was the point to keep going. however, the voice kept telling her to go which made her growl a little inside. she got up and carried on going, dragging her paws against the white snow.
xxxxxxxxxxxshe had been walking all night and all day, but this voice wasn't giving her a rest. her legs started to shake as if they were going to give way anytime soon and that would be it, it would be over for her. "please just let me rest now" she told herself, but she knew if she just closed her eyes then maybe she'll never wake up again. she came across a small lake but from her view it was rather large. she carried on walking towards it and took a sip of the cool liquid until she collapsed beside it. she needed to rest now, her legs were tired and she felt she couldn't go on any longer. she looked at her reflection seeing how thin her face was. if it wasn't for her fluffy winter fur you'll be able to see her ribs but her fur manged to hide it. she then turned her attention towards her balloon like stomach, she gave it a gentle nudge just enough so they would be able to feel it. she waited a while to see if they respond but, she got nothing not even a wiggle. she knew from there, there as no hope for them. she felt so guilty that she didn't manage to keep them alive, she made a promise to her mate she would but she knew it would be too tough for her. but the pups were the last thing she had of her mate, and now she would have nothing.
xxxxxxxxxxxthe female closed her eyes to rest them but had the thought of her pups in her head, and her mate. she wished they could be happy together once again but this dream would never happen. she laid on the cold surface, with her eyes shut with no more energy to move.
