xxxxx( ❄) its not every day that an avalanche comes down the mountains and just so happens to wipe out an entire colony of cats. well, not colony. they prefer the title of a tribe.

xxxxx( ❄) the tribe of falling ice is — no, was, — a pretty decent sized group of cats. they lived in a series of tunnels in the mountains that had been dug out decades before their ancestors were even born. the cats claimed that their ancestors themselves dug these intricate tunnels for their paws only, so they were very protective over their home.

xxxxx( ❄) true to the tribe's name, icicles usually formed over the mouth of their main cave. cave-guards would knowingly plant themselves as far away from these natural weapons so that if they ever fell, the only thing injured was the tribes pride. this would be because the tribe cats believe that each icicle is a cat in the tribe of endless hunting that has come to watch over the tribe. its a comforting thought for the entire tribe, you know?

xxxxx( ❄) but now, its been a good couple of days since the avalanche has occured. six cats have risen from the ashes fallen snow but aren't properly informed about their new surroundings. its a forest with melting snow and two opposing clans that have no idea there was ever a tribe in the mountains. so when a group of cats calling themselves names like "rock that tumbles down snow" and "bee that collects pollen", it isn't the best scenario.

overall this roleplay takes place in a large abandoned slice of land. most prominently, there are mountains curling around the forest below. the mountains to the north are the highest, though they thin out the farther east or west they are, which is where they turn into what you could consider rocky hills. directly below the north side of the mountain is a large lake. in the past, twolegs once came here during newleaf to enjoy the surroundings, but cats haven't seen a twoleg in moons now - some of the oldest elders still believe the thought of a twoleg is just a queens tale.

there is a single river that runs into the lake from the south end of the territory. it nearly splits the territory into even halves. once its reached the center of the territory, it diverges into two smaller rivers to create an oval-shaped island, which the cats use as their moonly gatheringplace, though the two rivers soon collide into one once more and then feed into the lake.

from the south view of the territory, duskclan lives on the left of the land, where there is just a bit more forest than on the right. they often hunt squirrels, rabbits and the like. on occasion, the majority of the warriors may take a trip to the rocky hills to hunt a mountain's meal; weasels, beavers, and whatever type of bird you can't find in the forest. duskclanners sure love birds.
