It was an average spring day. The sun was rising high, with a warm breeze floating through the air. There hadn't been much, drama, per say lately. Which was inevitably a good thing. It was nearing summer, a few more weeks and the warm months would be here. Though as the months got warmer the wolves got colder, for some reason no one could explain. There just always seemed to be a grudge, something one status had against the other. Obvious reasons are that they are following two different gods, which was something that tore parts of the pack apart many, many years ago. But underlying reasons consist of the fact that some wolves only saw their pack ruled by one alpha rather than two. Now- this wasn't common amongst most of the wolves. In fact, the majority were pleased that the pack contained both good and evil parts. It allowed for variety, and diversity. It allowed for some wolves to do the 'dirty work' while others focused on being good leading energies. It allowed for wolves to both train for the benefit of themselves, and the benefit of others. It was a good environment, so long as the stricter kinds didn't get too hot headed.

Please Note
Please review the pack law before creating your post. Laws must be followed in the pack. [However if you want to break them please pm me. There are certain rules that may not be broken, and other rules that I would definitely be allowed to be broken for the sake of drama.]
Your wolf should not use their strongest power too often, it drains energy extremely quickly. [For example, Scarlet would not use Holy White Light unless needed.] Lesser powers can be used regularly, but not against another wolf in order to harm them. [For example, Talisa can use her Hydrokenisis to make water droplets, etc commonly but wouldn't use Telepathy very often.]
Please read about the territory, as well as the powers posts to understand what different hierarchy rankings might be.
Please read over the 'relations' post and make sure all information is correct. If there is information on crushes/kinship that is incorrect, please pm me or post on the discussion thread so I can edit it.
If you have any ideas for major drama, please PM me, royalty., or join one of the join.me links provided in the discussion thread so we can discuss the details!
**Lets also just say that by the time you read this and get your post up the territory and powers post probably wont be done because why would I ever be organized, but just take a look at the brief things there so that you can understand what we are going for. Thank you!

            SCARLET
            ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
( fae )( six )( scent of oak tree and honey )( mated to akela )( alpha )
( tagging akela, talisa, open )
Drowsiness pumped through the veins of the alpha, as she had slowly been awakening from her sleep the night before. It had been a long night for her, for reason unknown. The most likely cause was her looking outside at the stars above her, wondering why she'd sacrificed her rank in order to become mates with Akela. The pack never saw it, but the pair didn't contain anything more than a platonic love for each other. There were no romantic feelings towards each other, but they had became mates anyways. Against Lupus' will she chose a demonic being over her God. It was something she'd both been pleased about and upset by for betraying someone that would have protected her. However, had she not done this, the pack would be chaos. The angelic beings and demonic entities would be at each others throats everyday and every night. Thats the true reason behind why Akela and her decided to become mates, they could rule over and keep the pack civil each with their own kind. The pack was no where near as tense as it was before they became mates, but still some wolves held incredible grudges towards the others.

Scarlet grunted silently as she rose from her spot inside of the den across from Akela. She usually woke up before him, which was fine for her. Padding out of the den, she thought about what the day might have in store. Who might decide to break the pack laws this time, and who might end up hurt. She glanced over to see a smaller, ivory fae arising from her den. Dipping her head in a goodmorning to the hunter, she smiled softly padding towards her. "Good day, Talisa, how did you sleep?" Her voice was level, and strong as it usually was. She knew not to ask the smaller, younger fae too much since she was quite the anxious wolf, but knew also that if she didn't talk to her at all she would never become close to her. Talisa had been a calming, collected wolf, from what Scarlet had seen and she appreciated the shyer wolf's presence. "M- morning Alpha Scarlet. I... It was fine, h-how was yours?" A soft smile grew on Scarlets face as the fae responded. "Alright as well, well... I'll leave you to whatever you're doing right now. I'll be sending out a hunting party this afternoon as well if you'd like to join it." She said softly, before dipping her head and turning off into the other direction, sitting at the edge of the camp waiting for the pack to begin to stir.

            ( tagging scarlet, open )
Talisa's amber eyes fluttered open beneath the layer of ivory fur covering them. The smaller bodied fae stirred inside of her den for a few moments, as the light floated inside. Groggily getting up, she moved out of the shallower hole she had dug for herself to sleep in. It protected her from most of the elements except for rain, which was never a problem for her. Looking around, it was an extremely sunny day- but not warm enough to dry the puddles from the night before. At the South edge of the camp there was a small, deep puddle still and she had to fight running over to it like a child. Being snapped from her focus, she saw Scarlet approaching her with some small talk. Answering her question quickly before dipping her head in a goodbye, she got up and walked over to the small puddle. It was in an area of camp that no one had their dens, and it was usually very quiet. She laid down beside it, her muzzle barely touching it, she started blowing on the water. It ended up making some bubbles. She'd always found that fascinating. Out of all the things she could do with her hydrokenisis powers, making bubbles had entertained her the most.

            THANATOS
            ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
( brute )( four and a half )( scent of maple sap and pine )( secretly crushing on adryan )( warrior )
( tagging adryan *cough cough wink wink* )
"Alinta. Get the hell away from me or I swear on your oh so dear Lupus I will rip your vocal cords from your throat." Thanatos snarled, his jaws snapping mere millimeters away from the younger fae's face. "You are not having pups. You are not pregnant. I know your whole purpose here. You're here to bring me 'back' to Lupus. Well guess what mutt? I'm going straight to Hell. Its a lot better than any life with you. You stay here. Watch me kill this entire damn pack. Then you can watch me kill you." He snarled, smashing her head with his paw. Thanatos had trusted Alinta, but from somewhere he had heard that she was simply trying to manipulate him into joining Lupus again, and he would not have that. Thanatos despised Lupus, his parents devoted their entire existence to him. Which is apart of the reason Thanatos had killed them.

A few hours had gone by, and Alinta was still in their den, shaking, afraid. Alinta was a good wolf. She was an angel, literally, and in those moments, hearing the screams from her pack members, knowing she couldn't do anything, she felt so hopeless and lost. She knew she was going to die, especially when the cold brute she had fallen in love with came back inside the den. Bloody as hell. Bloodier even. "What is wrong with you Thanatos? This isn't the brute I fell in love with. You were good. You are good." She barked, pleading for her life, but he didn't care. "I was never good Alinta. You never loved me. You were trying to get me to become an angel again, like my mother, like my father. I never loved you. I don't know how you were so blind. I was using you. I needed someone to vouch for me against the wolves here. I needed a mediator when I ripped them all to shreds, and guess what dearie, you fit the bill perfectly. I'm done with you. Those 'pups' there are never going to live. They're never going to see the light of day. I would say I hope you rot in Hell, but that's my home. Not yours. Go live your soft peasant life with Lupus, if he cares enough maybe he will revive you." He snarled before attacking her, brutally, her blood covering the den. His fur covered in her blood, after ripping open her throat, just as he promised he would. He spit out blood snarling. "Good and dead. Just like you've always been to me." He moved away, leaving the blood covered pack camp and heading down to the river cleaning himself off. That's where his journey began.

            ---
Thanatos growled as he raised himself out of the spacious den. He'd not had a memory about that night in a long time, and he wasn't sure how Alinta was alive, let alone in the same pack as him. Either way, he had more pressing business, waking up Adryan. Usually the fae was the one to wake him up, and he rarely woke up before her, but took every opportunity he could. He moved through the shadowed area of the camp, reaching his best friends den quickly. He stuck his head in and barked loudly to wake her up, being problematic of course. When wasn't he? He then swatted at her tail. "Oh my, Adryan, watch where you're swinging that thing! It's a real weapon, wouldn't want to hurt me now would we?" He barked obviously faking a sadness in his tone.

            RAJANI
            ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
( fae )( six months )( scent of fresh dew in spring )( crushing on no one )( loner pup )
( tagging no one but mentioning adryan )
The young fae growled lowly to herself. "Man... He really tried it this time." She grunted softly, as she walked throughout the territory. "Blah blah blah go find the Queen blah blah blah. I'm a knight, I shouldn't just be sent out here to go retrieve someone." Rajani barked to herself. She'd been in a mood for days, wandering around in open woods having no idea where she was going. She wasn't trained to find wolves, she was trained to kill them. Only six months old and all that was on her mind was who she would butcher next. Wandering around, the chirping of the birds had begun to irritate the young pup. She hated the birds. Always happy, always sing-songing. She thought silently as she continued slithering through the tree's. She was an average size, nothing big, nothing small, but full of power. She'd been the rare exception to Lucifers 'All pups will die.' code. He had taken her under his wing when her mother died, and when she died.
            ---
"Hush my darling... don't be afraid. You'll survive... you'll be safe." Rajani recalled the voice of her deceased mother. It was something Lucifer had done to keep her sane. He intruded her thoughts with the voice of her mother that died giving birth to her. Glancing around, only a few weeks old, Hell was the only place she ever knew as a home. Rajani never met her mother, or her father, but Lucifer had claimed her as one of his soldiers. Since the moment she could walk she had been in training.

It was some odd Tuesday, and Rajani had been roaming around until she spotted a full ebony fae, much larger than her. She was entranced with the scars on the fae, how she walked around in a way that made Rajani think that everyone owed her something, that she ruled over something, or someone. The month old pup had ran up to her, not stopping herself intime before bumping into the taller, older fae's legs. The female had snapped, probably assuming it was some adult wolf. Rajani had barked back, trying to act her most ferocious which had somehow impressed the older fae. "I'm Rajani. You're really pretty. Why are you here?" The small pup asked, glancing over the ebony fae that looked like an older version of herself. The fae had leaned over her, a glimmer of something in her eyes as her voice rang out. "Adryan. The Queen."

The simplicity in her words and voice had intrigued the young pup. Rajani had never met someone like Adryan, it was exciting to her. "You must have worked really hard to get there!" She barked, tilting her head to the right as she looked at the older fae's face, and then over the plethora of scars across her body. Rajani knew she wanted to be like the fae. An idolization had formed almost instantly. Adryan seemed mean, but it was the kind of mean that Rajani liked. Kind of like the evil voices she heard when she was born.

            ---
Rajani growled lowly as she thought about it. She had admired Adryan so much, she honestly thought of Adryan like her mother- but the fae just dropped her, and left her lying in the dust while she moved on to other things. She was betrayed and hurt, but it never showed on the young fae. She was conditioned not to reveal any emotions whatsoever. No matter the cost. She was cold hearted. Brutal. Insane. Insanity was her trademark, no matter where it came from. Her mind would always echo the worst of things to do to everyone, think of the most violent things to do. She had no control over the thoughts, and Lucifer had liked it that way. The more intrusive thoughts she had, the easier it was to mold her into the Knight of Hell she was. The easier it was to train her to kill. The easier it was for her to slaughter her friends, her enemies, and everything in between. It was quite a hefty load for such a young child, and the demon inside of her ruled over her existence. It made the hefty load easier, but nonetheless it was a challenging process for her.

    ADRYAN ─ THE BANSHEE
    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
indentationA gasp for breath. Raggid, struggled, breaths.

Black eyelids peeled back to reveal dark cobalt hues, pupils constricted in a panicked motion. Her chest was heaving up and down, strangled breaths escaping her maw as she inhaled large amounts of oxygen. Her head violently moved from side to side as her back lay against the hot grass, taking in the peculiar surroundings. Her eyebrows lowered, her eyes narrowed as she wondered... how the hell did she get here? Where am I? This is definitely not Salem. How am I.... when did I... She didn't know now did she have time to think. Abruptly, she broke into a rage of asphyxiated coughs, her throat raw and dry from dehydration. She rolled her body over, using her weak forearms and legs to lift her weak body from the ground. Coincidentally, on the ground, only a foot away was a small puddle of water. She ran to it and instantly began to lap up the warm water, relaxing as the liquid hydrated her quenched throat. As she lifted her tongue from the dirty water, her eyes widened at what she saw. It was her own reflection itself that scared her. She was alive, and out of Hell. Her fur was mangled and dirty, which was logical seeing as her body was buried deep in the ground. But her eyes- her once cobalt hues had a black film spread over the entire pupil, as well as the whites of her eyes. It was as if she was some sort of... demon? Adryan shook her head repeatedly at the sight of herself, flashbacks intruding her thoughts rapidly. The burning of her flesh, her skin pierced by blades and chains and hooks; hanging from hooks in the ceiling, their sharp, rounded points buried deep in her shoulders. Her power, her Lordship. The many wolves and souls she tortured, the duties she was executed in order to stay alive, to keep her body as safe as possible. All of the pain and misery in the pit was unbearable. She felt darkness growing inside her, the insanity unleashed on every single wolf. She lifted her gaze from the murky waters and looked at the scene around her. In the field she reappeared in, there was a large circle of blackened, burnt grass, while the rest of it was it's lush green shade. She looked closely to realize the grass had been shaped like a pentagram. She shook her head in disbelief, faint "no"'s escaping her maw as she frantically moved her head around. She turned her back, looking down at the waters. And as she stared deep down into the puddle, ignoring her demonic eyes and mangled fur, a crazed grin formed on her face as she broke into psychotic laughter.

    The Banshee was reborn.

She remembered the night it happened- the night of her slow, painful death.

It all started because of them- the Red Hoods. An alliance of violent brutes [ and some faes ] who formed together four years before as pups. It started off with little, petty pranks, such as hiding the prey piles and messing up the padding in the dens. But as the years went on the more vengeful they become, causing them to want revenge on not only members of Salem but Salem itself. As they grew older they became more bloodthirsty, more violent and, as a united group of eight, highly powerful. They began to attack wolves at choice and even began to gang up on and kill some. Adryan had her own group of friends and they together stayed with each other and protected each other. They made sure nothing would happen to each other. The group was fairly large: It was herself, Castiel, Lilith, Maverick, Armageddon, Kali, Ruby, Alusia, Ajax, and Dexter. The group was close but eventually Kali, Dexter, Ajax, Maverick, Armageddon left, and Ruby went to leave in the Outlands. The wolves that left [ except Ruby ] had all been acting suspicious but nobody had paid any attention to it. Then the Red Hood attacks became more brutal and violent, not only impacting the war between Pangaea and Salem more serious but preventing Salem from properly fighting back. When she started dating Maverick, Adryan became a target. Especially because she knew who the Red Hoods were.

Armageddon, Maverick, Kali, Amery, Kali, Ajax, Dexter, Lincoln, and Rexxit. Eight names. The Alliance of the Red Hoods. Adryan had known them from when they first started attacking her, roughly when she was around two and a half. The attacks started out small. Little warnings to stop the killings and to give up her and Akela's rank. Maverick had begun to date Adryan and wasn't the eighth member of the Red Hoods. Adryan and Maverick fell deeply in love, and although Adryan had lessened her killings and practiced fighting more, things got worse. When Amery tried to throw Adryan off the ledge of a cliff and into a stampede of bulls, Adryan was lucky enough to flip Amery in the crowd instead. Although the fae's death didn't only impact Akela, seeing as it was his mate at the time who was also carrying his pups. Little did she know the fae was Maverick's mother, and as soon as Maverick found out he began to plot with Dexter, who soon invited him into the Red hoods. And around the time where Adryan was about to turn three was when the Red Hoods began to attack. First, they lured hunters near their territory by luring caribou out of the valleys where Maverick had hoped Adryan would go and get herself shot. He allowed himself to get captured with her in the vet's care and told Akela to stay, where he silently hid and watched Adryan get played around with the human contraption and liquids by foolish teenagers. And after she returned, the real torture came. Maverick and the rest of the gang beat her up many times a week for a month until one of them got her pregnant, which caused everyone to panic and hide her in the woods. They tried to abort the baby many times- electrocuting her, burning her, throwing her into large objects, but nothing worked. There were few times she was let out so others would believe the disappearance was her own doing, but when she was seen she was a mess. She had tried to end her life twice and tried to end the baby's as well. When she gave birth she was forced to kill her pups slowly, and then finally she was released. She was broken, a mess, and distant.

Eventually, which was well into her fourth year, she had finally been able to keep away the past. She was a murderous, powerful machine. She hung out with her old group of friends more often, reclaimed her title as the Banshee and was one of the strongest Salem had ever known. She spent extra time with Thanatos and slightly Castiel and fell in love with Thanatos, although never brought herself to admit it. She had made a big mistake by hooking up with Castiel and was warned strangely by the great elders not to ever mate with him. It made sense when she gave birth to their daughter after only being pregnant for a week, and when the next week she had already been grown into a teenager. They put her in the river in hopes that the pup would find a new home. Maybe the strange spawn had been because of the fact that Castiel was soon to be an Angel, Adryan a demon, where their daughter was a Nephalem. Lucky for them they found out a pup had drowned a month later. She always hated herself but grew to deal with it.

But then her death soon approached. The Red Hoods had disappeared for a month now and Adryan began to hang out with Avita more. She formed a group with Thanatos, Castiel, Ruby and Karma to find out the identities, although the group didn't know Adryan already knew six of them. The fae had finally decided to talk about her past to Thanatos and Castiel, Thanatos more specifically, but then they attacked, this time with higher motives. She had remembered her plans and what she told Thanatos and Castiel before. "Ajax, Dexter, Maverick, Kali, Amery, Armageddon- that's all I know. Now go on to the hunting party and we can announce it when you come back later on." She was unaware at the time Avita was spying, but when she found out she shrugged it off, not knowing Avita would run her mouth to Dexter. She was also unaware the hunting party her close friends and father were supposed to go on was just a set up to get everyone out of Salm.

Adryan thrashed her forearms around, struggling to get her arms and legs out of the human contraption. She growled as the eleven wolves around her talked and paced about, deciding her fate. All you did was go hunting, Adryan. How in the hell did you not only get yourself ganged up on, but somehow they managed to tie you with chains? A human mechanism, something that would take the longest time for a wolf to figure out how to properly use. Exeter stepped forward with a bunny in his maw, dropping it at the fae's feat. "Eat." He said, turning away and continuing a conversation. Adryan looked down at the rabbit and dubbed the meal unpalatable. There was no way in hell she'd accept something from these wolves, let alone listen to what they had to speak. Adryan's eyes narrowed as a pair of wolves advanced onward, her lips peeling back in a threatening growl. "Relax," grunted Dexter, a smug grin plastered on his face. "We won't hurt you," and at this time, the other wolves walked forward to circle around Adryan, just in time for Ajax to add, "Much." A long time past. Adryan panted hoarsely, a crazed grin on her face as she lay on the ground, her feet barely able to hold her up. "That was fun," she commented, grinning with blood covering her pearly whites and pooling in her mouth. She was bleeding from multiple areas of her body. Her piercings were ripped out, her knife taken from its pouch around her left ankle. "Let's do it again sometime, hm?" Maverick grinned down at Adryan, her dark dagger in between his pointed canines. Kali was a slight distance away, biting her lip nervously but attempting to hide her anxiety behind a scowl. "So," Armageddon started, slowly pacing about in front of her. "We've sent your father and Thanatos on some goose chase a distance away, while the rest of your friends and Salem are accompanying them. I'm done warning you about killing members of the Red Hoods-" Armageddon stepped forward, lifting his forepaw to carefully stroke her cheek with the backside "So why have you disobeyed my demands and rebelled against my wishes?" Adryan's face went serious before her cheeks slowly formed a grin once more. "Because you are trying to rebel against my father and Salem. Because you know I told Thanatos and Castiel your identities and you want to stop them before we had planned to announce it tonight. Because you are all a group of wasteful, pathetic-" There was a deafening clapping sound as Armageddon's paw struck against Adryan's face. Her head was to the side in result from the blow. She panted as she brought her head back to center, spitting blood all over the brute's face and breaking into laughter, looking all around her and addressing the whole group. "So," She announced with a smile on her face. "Who wants a turn at beating me sensless next?"

The next hour was far more painful than the first. Adryan lay on the ground, panting and choking on her own blood. She looked up at Ajax, tilting her head and forcing a grin. "Enjoying yourself?" She asked sarcastically, before coughing up more blood. Ajax growled and turned to the others. "There is no use for her anymore. Let's just kill her and leave." But Ajax quickly shut up, shushing the other wolves as his ears perked up alertly. Not far away, Akela, Thanatos, Lilith, Azazel, Castiel, the rest of her close friends and the other Salem wolves were returning from their hunt, which surprisingly was successful. Adryan's eyes widened as the Black Hood's panicked, some running away while others stood their ground. Adryan opened her maw to yell. "Dad! Dad, I'm-" She screamed but was suddenly cut off. Maverick had stepped forward, plunging the knife he had stolen from her earlier deep into her flesh, puncturing any organs close by. Adryan stopped- choked, strangled sounds emitted from her mouth as she looked down in surprise, before looking back up at Maverick with surprised eyes. He quickly ripped it out, blood spewing everywhere and her wound instantly pooling blood. The scene before her grew foggy as she watched the Salem wolves rip into the Red Hoods, only a few escaping. The only wolves who stayed behind were useless, keeping the identities of the real Red Hoods unknown. Her dad and Thanatos ran towards her, crying out to her and repeating that everything was going to be okay. Adryan formed a weak smile, shaking her head. "I won't be surviving this, let's be honest," Adryan grunted, coughing blood. "Don't pity my loss. Live on my legacy." She added, her eyes rolling around as she began to lose consciousness. "Adryan, y-you're okay, alright?" Thanatos voice cracked while Akela called for a healer. Castiel stood beside her head, his mouth slightly ajar and entirely speechless, the only movement coming from him was torn down his cheeks before he shook his head and muttered a "no," weakly. Adryan chuckled, blood spilling everywhere as her vision started to become crowded with black spots. "A-" She choked, a stream of blood spilling out the side of her mouth and staining her fur in the shape of a smile. She laughed again, her grin growing large with her canines exposed. "At least I went out w-with a bang." Her head dropped to the side as her life left her body, the dizzying sounds of her father and friend's screams as they tried to help her grasp onto her life. As the last pieces of her left her body, the last thing she ever saw was a shadowy figure, grinning to her and saying, "I'm excited to work on you." With a grin still on her face, October 30th was marked the day of her painful excruciatingly slow death. It was hours before her birthday.

And then it happened- Hell. She awoke again, this time with chain pierced through her flesh in all directions. A beige wolf stood by her, laughing. "I've been waiting for you, my darling," he said in a deep, yet taunting voice. "Wh-who are you?" She growled in return, not as unphased by the brute like she had hoped. The brute laughed. "Why, I'm your new best friend, Lucy, of course!" He shrugged his shoulders. "And I've been watching you for some time now, Adryana." He tilted his head. "You're chosen, you know. Your mother, who was witch and future angel, and father, who worked with demons, were belatedly brought together by a Cupid so that they could birth a new seed of evil and a future ruler of Hell." He clicked his tongue. "I didn't expect the cupid trance to wear off, but I'm glad you were born before your father had your mother and siblings mauled in front of you." Adryan bashed against the chains. The brute went on to explain gibberish on how she was supposedly a Nephalem, but when she went to Hell she would become a pure Demon. That she was Hell's next most powerful being and was given one of the most powerful duties: to hold the Mark of Cain. A mark that came with uncontrollable violence. As much as the Banshee didn't mind violence, she always wanted to be in control of her actions. And soon she had to fight for her power. She was simply a crossroads demon at first, but when fighting hard she became a Knight of Hell. Powerhungry, she didn't stop there, fighting for a superior rank and taking place as a Queen of Hell. With the powers of a Knight and Prince of Hell, the Banshee was unstoppable.

The only problem is the Lucifer in my head.

As the Banshee awoke from her slumber, she heard the familiar chirping of a brute's voice, humming a melody. His actual presence wasn't with her, however, he was able to implant himself inside her head to bother her 24/7. "Ah, my Queen is awake," He mocked, a sly grin plastered on his face. "I certainly hope I did not wake you, your Majesty." Adryan's tired eyes narrowed, and the cobalt pupils rolled back into her head in an annoyed gesture. "Of course not," She retorted. "Because you are so pleasant to be around." This caused the brute to laugh before she made him disappear, not entirely in the mood for another one of his shenanigans. Her underbelly was lifted from the warmth of her den's floor, an instant cool feeling sweeping under. She yawned rather loudly, allowing the front half of her body to slide forwards in a stretch. All was fairly neutral until she spotted it in her arm.

The Mark of Cain. MODS: THIS URL IS USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THIS POST.

She remembered how the Horseman of Death told it; God locked the Darkness away where it could do no harm, and he created a Mark that would serve as both lock and key, which he entrusted to his most valued lieutenant, Lucifer. But the Mark began to assert its own will, revealed itself as a curse, and began to corrupt. Lucifer became jealous of man. God banished Lucifer to Hell. Lucifer passed the Mark to Cain, who passed the Mark to you, the proverbial finger in the dike.” The demon who attacked her, the one who burned the mark into her arm was the knight himself. She was told to slay the other Knights of Hell and when she arrived downstairs, she did. After that she soon made her way to Queen, somehow gathering the powers of not only a Knight but a Prince as well. While the Mark had defaults of uncontrollable rage, she was too overpowered at her time of death to actually fight back. When she first was resurrected, she didn't know what to do. She remembered her outbursts being worse than ever.

    --

The fae looked to the seven brutes surrounding her. The six demons and one seraphim. They neared her, fangs beared and ready to attack. "Please," she warned, closing her eyes and inhaling.

She walked out of her den, sniffing in the morning dew and slowly padding towards the clearing. Lucifer was gone only for the moment and she was not excited for his return. It was slightly breezy yet warm this morning, and the fae enjoyed the lovely weather. She suddenly felt light pawsteps against the ground, soon accompanied by a familiar voice. "Oh my, Adryan, watch where you're swinging that thing! It's a real weapon, wouldn't want to hurt me now would we?" She inhaled slowly, still facing the other way.

The brute ran to the fae, looking in the surroundings. Her small, ebony body was drenched and stained with blood, yet not her own. She sat in the middle of the field, seven mutilated bodies surrounding her, each lying in their own pool of blood with their eyes still open. "Adryan!" The brute said as he began to shake her, trying to get her to focus on him, but all she did was stare blankly outwards. "Adryan, please tell me you didn't have to kill them. Tell me they tried to kill you or-or they threatened the rest of us." Finally, the fae's cobalt orbs glanced upwards, finally noticing the few wolves standing behind Thanatos. "No," she replied weakly. It was all she said, all she could say. The Mark owned her now.

Adryan forced a smile as she turned around. "That's up for debate," she replied snarkily, grinning from ear to ear. "How's your morning going, your majesty?"

Perhaps hunting would suit my needs, or maybe I could train to enhance my overall physique. He didn't know what to do. As he walked around camp, he noticed Talisa playing with the bubbles in a small water bubble. He stayed hidden from sight, inhaling softly and sending his thoughts to focus on the small puddle. In seconds the puddle practically exploded, sending water droplets all over Talisa. The brute smiled warmly as he walked up to the fae. "Surprise," he greeted, his expressions warm. "Good morning Talisa, how was your slumber?" He opened up his paw, using his powers to reveal a small flower, which he soon placed in what was left of the small puddle.

The ivory fae had her amber eyes focused on the small bubbles floating up from puddle. Talisa barked and jumped back as the puddle exploded into her face, sending water drops throughout her fur. She looked up, spotting Castiel as he approached her. She scrambled to her paws, scraping up some dust below her paws. "H... Hey Castiel." She said softly, tilting her small head as the brute opened his paw, where a small flower grew. A small smile formed on her maw as she looked as the flower that was now placed inside of the remainder of the puddle. "I slept well, how was yours?" She asked quietly. She was more comfortable around Castiel and Scarlet than most of the rest of the pack. Alusia was her best friend though, topped everyone. The small bodied fae sat down on her rump as she looked over the brute, awaiting a response.

Thanatos rolled his eyes at her words. "That's up for debate." She had said before he laid down on the floor rolling onto his back and placing a paw on his chest. "Ouch, Adryan, that really hurt." He barked before standing back up and shaking out the dust that had collected on his dark grey pelt. "You love me, you know you'd never hurt me with that weaponry tail of yours." He spoke softly, bumping his shoulder into hers. "It's going pretty good so far. I mean... I just woke up." His tone was calm, a tone that the rest of the pack rarely got from him. His dark red tinted eyes lingered over her face, seeing the smile that was clearly, at least somewhat forced. He hadn't noticeably seen her force one on herself in what seemed like forever.
            ---
Thanatos had been wandering the woods. The dark, ominous woods of Salem. His mind was wandering, and his pawsteps matched his wandering thoughts. It had been a year since her death. Everything inside of him just kept growing darker and darker as each passing day went by after she died. His mind kept exploring the possibility she might survive, just deep down somewhere hoping that she might return. "She's gone you idiot. She's dead. She died a year ago. She died with you. You couldn't save her. The only person you ever gave a damn about and you screwed her over." He muttered out loud to himself. Images flashed through his mind. Images of her body growing limper by the second. Her voice the last time he'd heard it. It rung in his ears everyday, each time making him more and more angry. The thoughts of him whispering beside her, trying to convince her it would all be okay even though he knew not a thing would be okay after that day. His dark eyes fluttered shut as he fought back the pricking sensation that formed in them. He wasn't willing to cry. He never was and never would be. His paws beat on the ground until he heard soft cries in the distance, a cry that sounded oddly like the fae he'd loved so dearly that had departed.

"Adryan..." He voiced quietly, his mind shouting to him that it was her, he ran. Man... he ran faster than he'd ever ran before. As he reached the thinner lining of trees, nearing the clearing on the edge of the cliff, he saw it. Whether it was a figment from his mind or actually there... he saw her. The pads on his dark coloured paws started to crack, sending pain throughout his feet. The terrain, it was covered in small pebbles that continuously got stuck inside of the cracks. He grunted with each step, racing faster and faster towards the dark figure. It looked so much like her. Every part of him was convinced, the closer he got to the ominous creature, that it was her. His paws began bleeding, sending spatters of blood up through his legs and over his fur. "Adryan! Adryan!" He shouted, panting heavily, barely able to get the words out.

"ADRYAN!" He screamed, as he was just a few meters away from her, he could feel her... he could feel her presence. Her soul was there, he could feel it. It was the same tugging on him that he'd felt when he had originally met her. Something like ropes tying the pair together. His heart almost leaped out of his chest as he came closer to her, his feet burning, pain shooting up through his forelegs. But as he reached her, and she didn't turn around, the figure faded. "No..."

His jaw lowered slowly, unable to process what was going on. "But... Adryan... You were... you were right there... where did you..." His voice had cracked, something that had only happened once before. When she passed... when she died basically in his arms... He couldn't fathom what had happened. He dropped, his stomach hitting the hard floor. His body numbed. "Oh... Adryan..." His eyes store out over the cliff edge. He had given up. All hope he'd had left inside of him had been lost in that moment. She was dead. She was gone. And now something was sending him hallucinations of her. Whatever was going on... it was breaking him. Breaking the unbreakable. Now that was something else.

Staring over the edge, he laid in the spot that the figure had just been. He could smell her. The smell of mint and cranberry rung through his nose, or something of the sort. He had no idea. His eyes lowered and shut. A tear, a salty tears slithered down his cheek like a snake through the desert. The only person he'd ever cared about. She was striped away from him. He couldn't get over it. He was broken. Completely shattered. His mind was blank besides the scent of mint and cranberry that lingered in his nostrils as he looked out into the blank distance.

            She was gone.

            ---
He took in a breath, looking her in the eyes. "How about yours, your highness? Is there anything I can do to serve you, mademoiselle?" Thanatos spoke, the glimmer of playful anticipation racing through the flaming red eyes as he tried to block out the memories. Everytime he looked at her, he still believed it was a dream. Another hallucination he was having. He smirked as he looked at her, his best friend.

    ADRYAN ─ THE BANSHEE
    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
indentationThe fae stared blankly at the wall of her den, new cuts and bruised decorated throughout her ebony pelt. The brute standing over her licked the crimson blood from his paws, clearing his throat. "You can go now." He grunted, sounding more like a demand rather than a suggestion. The smaller fae slowly nodded, lifting herself weakly from the ground with legs shaking as she stood up. Adryan staggered out of her den, her irises rendering stagnant and crazed. She diminished a blank expression as she shuffled out of the camp, disregarding all who attempted to speak to her. Her throat was dry- she was asphyxiated and hungry, her stomach was empty and her body shape was thinner than usual. Her cheeks were tear-stained, her body beaten and mangled. Her belly was somewhat plumper than normal, showing early signs of fertility. She hobbled out of the camp, her destination unknown but planning to go deep into the forest.

She slowed her walking when she reached the edge of the cliff, looking down below. The rocky terrain and the lush forests consumed most of the valley, with rivers and large bodies of water in addition to the landscape. Adryan sniffled, looking down with her eyes full of deep thought. She edged herself closer to the point, her foreclaws dangling off of the rock. She felt her eyes grow watery, looking up into the sky as she finalized her decision. She heard a wolf walking not far away, and soon after heard a gasp. "Adryan?" Adryan's eyebrows turned up with a pained expression as she heard Thanatos' voice, biting her bottom lip as she tried to ignore it. Adryan shook her head, ignoring the sounds of thumping feet as the brute attempted to run towards her, attempting to save her. Adryan shook her head again, voice cracking. "I'm sorry," she breathed, inhaling sharply and closing her eyes as she lifted her forepaws from the ground and let her body fall off the edge.

But soon, her cold, thin body was accompanied by warmth and large muscles as Thanatos wrapped his arms around her, saving her just in time. His hind legs dug into the ground as he struggled to pull her back in the awkward position. "No!" Adryan screamed, repeating the word over and over again as tears streamed down her face. "Let me go! Get off of me!" Her cries were useless, however, as Thanatos tried to calm her down over and over. "Adryan, it's okay," he assured, his voice cracking ever so slightly. "I got you, you're safe." He brought her a safe distance away from the ground, licking his chops with pain in his eyes. To know that his friend, the wolf he loved was trying to take her life hurt him. He didn't ever want her to have thought this way, and wanted to make sure it never happened again- he wouldn't let anything happen to her. So Thanatos sat there, cradling Adryan in his arms as she cried.

All she could think of every time she looked at Thanatos was what the pair had been through. It had been barely a month since she had come back and she distanced herself so much from him. Mainly in fear of the Mark taking control and killing him, and also in fear of loving him. Because every time she ever loved someone she lost them. Lilith was dead, Ruby disappeared, the rest of her Salem friends disappeared. Majesty was dead, Loki was dead, Katana was dead. The brute she thought of as an uncle, Keith, was killed. Her brother was killed because of her. Castiel died for her. Her father almost became a demon because of her. She was a curse. Everyone she ever loved died, and that's why she couldn't get close to anyone.

But she forced a smile again as she replied, forcing a laugh as the brute put on a small show and pretended to be hurt and ignore the clear pain in his eyes. "It's going pretty good so far. I mean... I just woke up." She nodded, listening again as the brute continued. "How about yours, your highness? Is there anything I can do to serve you, mademoiselle?" She shook her head simply, waiting for the conversation to end so she could go back to ignoring him and avoiding him. At this point, there was clear exhaustion in her eyes and she didn't care about it. She just wanted to end the conversation. "I'm just tired- maybe it's a newly resurrected symptom?" She forced a laugh, but then stopped. She didn't know what else to say.

indentationCastiel smiled once again when he saw that his actions ignited warmth inside of the fae, and felt almost accomplished as she smiled. "H... Hey Castiel." She said softly, tilting her small head. The brute nodded again, waiting for her to answer his question. "I slept well, how was yours?" He shrugged. "I assumed so. Angels don't sleep very well, so I spent quite a bit of my night watching your slumber." The brute was strange an certainly awkward, but he never saw anything wrong with his words. Although, he did stop for a second to clear his throat and say something less creepy. "Um, what are you planning on doing today?"

Her amber orbs watched over the brute as he spoke. "I assumed so. Angels don't sleep very well, so I spent quite a bit of my night watching your slumber." Odd. Quite... Odd. She thought to herself as she let out an almost silent giggle. The giggle was both from the awkward statement, but she also found it quite funny that someone would watch her sleep. "I-I was thinking of going down to the river, especially more now since someone destroyed my puddle." She said gently, a clear sense of humour in her she rarely portrayed. "I was going to do some... uh... fishing..." Talisa hadn't met another wolf that liked the taste of fish, most thought of it as a slimy, scaly, weird creature. Talisa didn't. She loved the taste of it, and preferred it to most other animals. She only ever picked the slower fish though, the ones that she knew wouldn't last long. She was a hunter, but she always respected more of life than to just be slaughtered for herself."W-Would you care to join me?" She voiced, her ears flicking back as she asked.

( tagging adryan *cough cough wink wink* )
"Adryan?" His voice was hoarse. His heart deeply hoped for it to be true this time, but the last time it had been a hallucination and it probably was again. He wouldn't take the chance. He knew what Lucifer was capable of. If he wanted Adryan to come back, he would. Thanatos didn't think Lucifer would have placed her right here, right before him, but if it was truly her this time- he wasn't going to question it. His dark eyes that had continuously grown with an evil day by day. His paws started moving slowly, he wasn't too far away. He saw her maw move- and knew in that moment. Every fiber in his body reacted, as he bolted towards the ebony fae, his paws barely healed from the last time he had ran as fast. "I'm sorry..." He heard, grunting as he pushed his body through the air. He had no idea what had happened to her... but whatever it was... it was dark. Darker than anything Than had experienced. But seeing her on the edge. Her. This time it was truly her. And she was about to end it all. He wasn't going to loose her. Not this time.

            Not again.

He yowled as his hind paws slipped beneath him as he lunged towards the body of Adryan, who'd lifted her paws from the edge. His maw was on the back of her neck, barely able to hang onto her with the position he was in. He had no idea what to do. He turned his arms around the fae, tugging her back. Just barely away from the edge, he took the pushes and shoves and cuts she'd given him trying to push him away. Trying to let herself fall. He wasn't letting her go though. "You're not doing it, Adryan. I'm not loosing you again." He voiced, an evident pain lingered in his tone. "Adryan, its okay." His usually strong, firm voice was cracking, breaking as he looked over her, pulling her further and further from the edge. "I got you, you're safe." He wouldn't survive loosing her again. Especially not after what he could see. Her stomach appeared swollen, but she also looked leaner than she was when she had first disappeared. He knew the look, Alinta had the same swollen belly years earlier. He knew she was pregnant, and he wasn't going to let her end her life and the pups.

He wouldn't bring it up. Whether she wanted them or not, wasn't up to him. He, clearly, wasn't the father. He hadn't seen her in so long. They'd never done anything. He just sat there, wrapped around her, allowing the fae to cry. His heart ached. She'd been with someone else. Thanatos looked over her, and all he could see was her. Not whatever pups she was having. He knew who's they were. She'd been mates with one of his best friends, he wasn't going to cross over that. They weren't his. She wasn't his and probably never would be. His eyes moved over to the cliff, where he had seen the ghastly figure of her before. "I'm here, Adryan. I've got you. You don't ever need to do that. I'm here for you. I'll always be." He said softly, pushing his maw into the top of her head to comfort her.

It had been a while, the pair had sat in silence, while Thanatos kept himself wrapped around Adryan. She had barely moved, and he was still barely able to breath. He ignored all the pain in his right hip from when he had smashed it off the ground lunging for her. The pain was worth it. His heart was still pounding out of his chest. His best friend. The only person he had ever loved. She had almost been stripped of her life. His eyes barely blinked, covered in a glassy layer as he looked out to the cliff. They were far away from it, but it was still in sight. Flicked his head downwards as Adryan had pushed herself from him. His grip was less tight by then, which made it easy for her.

            "I have to leave, Thanatos."

The first thing she had said since he had dragged her away, was that she had to leave again. "What do you mean, Adryan? Like hell I'm letting you leave." He uttered, hurt coming through with every syllable. The ebony fae had lifted herself from the ground, almost completely composed now. "You're not going anywhere, Adryan. I'm not loosing you again." The dark grey brute stood up, his large paws burning beneath the heavy weight of him.

"I just need to go, Thanatos. Do not follow me. I swear to Lupus. If you really care as much as you say you do, if you really will be there, you will not follow me." Her tone was sharp, laced with some form of darkness Thanatos didn't understand. "You really believe that I won't follow you?"

            "Yes."

She'd started heading off, moving quickly. Adryan's head never even flashed back to him, where his eyes stayed focused on her. His paws began moving, disobeying the one thing she had asked of him, but after following her for a few moments he realized it was useless. He had lost her. Again.

            ---
Thanatos had felt the plainness in the conversation. It was bland. Tasteless. Like hare. He thought as he looked over her. She looked completely done, just done with the conversation. "You just woke up, Adryan, how're you tired? C'mon we need to get you back into the groove of things. Newly resurrected or not, you've got this." He said looking over her. Then it clicked for him, the way she'd been acting the past few weeks. She was distancing herself on purpose. Icing him out. "Oh. You're not tired from the resurrection are you?" He murmured, looking to the ground then back up to her eyes. "You're tired of me." He said, darkness looming in his eyes. "I understand."

    ADRYAN ─ THE BANSHEE
    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
indentationIt hurt her, really. She had just tried to end her life, the thing she dreaded and hated most, and was saved. Why, she wondered, why couldn't he let her go? She hated herself. She hates herself. She wanted it to all be over and he stopped it. As the fae walked away from the brute, she could feel himself catch his breath. It was if he wanted to say something so desperately yet didn't know what to say. She didn't blame him, really. She had disappeared for months now and at first sight, he sees a fae consumed by a darkness, one who tries to kill herself. Had he noticed her belly? Goodness, she didn't want to break him. But she couldn't think much about it as she held her breath, nearing the large brute.

"What the hell was that?" He barked, clearly careless about the fact Thanatos was close by. "What kind of pathetic show did you just put on?" Adryan opened her mouth to speak but was cut off when the brute smashed his paw against the side of her head, knocking her down and growling in anger, bashing his paw into a tree after. But then he broke into laughter soon after. "Although, I do admire the idea of jumping," he exclaimed, lowering his head to the ground in a haunting whisper. "Say, why don't we try to abort those pups, hm?"

Adryan shook her head to rid of the memory, not wanting to remember the horrible screams of pure agony and torture that soon followed. It seemed that Thanatos hadn't entirely paid attention to the clear indicators of disinterest in Adryan's expression and voice, instead seeming to reply in a somewhat negligent manner. "You just woke up, Adryan, how're you tired?" He had said, where she had simply shrugged in reply before listening to him add, "C'mon we need to get you back into the groove of things. Newly resurrected or not, you've got this." He added, looking over her. A glimmer in his eye made the fae realized something inside him clicked, a momentary silence following his words as he tried to piece together the reality of things. "Oh. You're not tired from the resurrection are you?" He murmured, looking to the ground then back up to her eyes. "You're tired of me. I understand." Adryan, in reply, didn't allow the silence to linger in the air whatsoever. A crafty response would suit the situation well, and if Thanatos believed her it'd be much easier. But was it really worth the show? For a blunt wolf like herself, she was surprised he was worth the act.

So, she simply allowed a random set of words to roll off her tongue, without care and directed nowhere. "How could I ever be tired of you, Thanatos?" She replied dramatically, swinging a forepaw to add to the exaggeration. She sighed, rolling her eyes. "I've been back from the pit for less than a month- at least give me time to get annoyed with you." Standing from her previous relaxed posture, she stretched out her forelimbs and yawned. "I'm not tired of anyone, Thanatos. I'm simply not prepared to hurt anyone." She knew he didn't fully know about the Mark of Cain yet- for all that he was aware of at the moment is that it was a new scar or a strange marking she got in Hell. Mainly demons and angels knew about it, but newer ones most likely had little information on the thing. She shrugged her shoulders, thinking of an excuse as she looked at the Mark, before looking back up at the brute. "Lately I've, uh, been having a lack of control over my actions- a demon thing, perhaps."

    CASTIEL ─ THE ARCHANGEL

indentationAlthough Castiel saw nothing entirely wrong with what he had just said, Talisa's eyes said otherwise. He cleared his throat when she began to giggle, the sounds coming out almost forced. "I-I was thinking of going down to the river, especially more now since someone destroyed my puddle." She said gently, although she had added a humorous meaning to it. "I was going to do some... uh... fishing..." Castiel's eyebrows lifted at those words, surprised that some wolf actually accepted the taste of fish. "W-Would you care to join me?"

"That'd be lovely," Cas replied, standing up and beginning to walk with her. "Even if I don't like it, Its not like I can properly taste it anyway."

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━
The morning wasn't cold, nor was it scorching hot. Rather, the weather sat comfortably in the middle of the spectrum. However, the brute lay asleep in the corner of his den to avoid all sun rays that had managed to make their way passed the clouds. His legs and paws were sprawled out to eradicate any heat or moisture that could be building up in his thick, cream pelt, and his tongue rolled out of his mouth like the red carpet at the Academy Awards. Small pants came from the medic as he slowly drifted in and out of sleep, not entirely sure if he wanted to snatch more sleep or prepare himself for the day ahead. It probably wouldn't bring him much excitement anyways, since its not everyday that a wolf requires any medical attention. Though, with the plethora of unnecessary brawls and physical fights that angels and demons went through, he always had to be light on his paws. With a sharp, fact-based mind and strong sense of personal integrity, Ove could never understand the logic or reason behind it all. Why bother wasting your time and energy on a wolf of different status, when it could be used for actually providing for the pack? His blunt approach leaves others with the false impression that he's cold, or even robotic. Ove struggles immensely to express emotion or affection outwardly, but the suggestion that he doesn’t feel, or worse have no personality at all, is deeply hurtful to him.

Now that the light azure sky and beaming sun rays were getting strong, it was time for Ove to remove himself from the den. He really didn't want to, since the thought of sleep was much better than outside, but he had previously learnt that you simply cannot be productive while asleep. Opening his eyes, the amber orbs instinctively scanned the den before slowly coming to stand on all fours. His paws felt like they were weighted down with deer's antlers, and he found it difficult to simply walk out of his den. He could only assume that he had slept on top of them for a short while during his slumber. Shrugging the thought off, he passing out of the den.

Ove's mottled cream coat instantly absorbed the suns rays like a vacuum, causing the male to flop his tongue out of his mouth and pant every so slightly. His ears filtered the sounds of life nearby while he inspected the pack around him. He observed that a few wolves were already interacting, yet none were causing too much trouble thus far. The alpha, Scarlet, was sitting at the edge of the camp like she was ready to call some sort of meeting. One of the warriors, Capricorn, was glaring at his alpha like he was about to pounce at her. Now, wouldn't that be a funny sight? Ove thought to himself with a slight chuckle. Capricorn was quite a problematic wolf, yet strangely Ove enjoyed the brutes company. Castiel and Talisa seemed quite comfortable with each other, which was unusual to Ove, since he got the impression that Talisa was too shy to even look at another wolf.

Before Ove were to greet some of his packmates, he needed to start his day with a thorougher stretch. Without it, his muscles could either be as stiff as tarmac or spasming like they were under the pressure of a thousand tons of water. Its not like his muscles were old or damaged either, so it's a complete mystery to the medic as to why he is so inflexible. He hates to make assumptions, preferring instead to analyse his surroundings, check the facts and arrive at practical courses of action. However, he could only assume that his pain has been carried over from his past life. His death was slow, it was painful, and quite literally... twisted.

indent The ebony she-wolf awoke to the sound of pawsteps outside her den. Her amber eyes snapped open and her left ear -as she was missing the right one- swiveled to catch the sound. Upon recognizing the scent, she growled oddly. It was not an aggressive a growl, but rather a scolding. What was her son doing being up at this hour? It was still completely black outside, and Raziel was not one who enjoyed being awakened in the dead of night. Mind you, she was often awake at this time, but when she was not, she did not want to be, thus her anger. She glanced to the side, seeing her mate still slumbering. With a silent sigh, the black she-wolf disappeared and reappeared outside of her den, in front of her son. Her son jumped in surprise, his hackles raising at first before he realized who it was. "Mother, what are you doing?" he asked her. She raised her eyebrows and gave her son a look. "What am I doing? The question should be what are you doing Quinn? Especially being loud enough to wake me," she growled in a scolding manner. She watched her son pause and hesitate, seemingly searching for words. Finally, he appeared to settle his mind and Raz sat, waiting. "Well, my dear?" she asked her son. "Um, well, I thought I smelled something off while I was doing my midnight patrol. I wanted to make sure it was nothing..." Raziel could tell he wasn't saying something, but the Beta chose to ignore it for now. She would revisit the topic later one perhaps, when she could catch her son away from everyone else. The fea simply sighed and shook her head. "Well next time, Quinn, you should avoid your sleeping mother. Next time you don't know what she'll do," Raziel's threat was only half serious, in truth, but she still wanted her son to behave himself. The scarred black she-wolf watched as her son simply nodded. "Yes, Mother," he spoke as he turned and padded away into the darkness. Raz knew he took after her, enjoying being awake and wandering in the night, but she worried about him. Not openly of course, but she wasn't heartless. He was her son and she had only gotten him back a year ago after the massacre when he had been only eight months old.
indentOnce her son has disappeared, the scarred black fea sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. She listened to what was going on around her and just stood there, breathing for a moment. She often had little confrontations with Quinn, but she thought maybe that was normal. In all honesty, she had no idea how to deal with Quinn. Maybe if she had really raised him, but she hadn't. They'd been separated and she really did not know how to be a mother. I mean, I sort of mother Alusia, but I think that's different, she told herself silently. Her actions toward Alusia probably seemed somewhat motherly and out of character for her, but the Beta couldn't explain, she was just extremely protective of the angel and wasn't quite sure why. She is me, a little voice in the Beta's head whispered. Somewhere deep down, it was true, she saw. But it wasn't like she would ever be anything more than a demon now, not after everything.
indentPulling herself from her thoughts, she shook herself and turned to glance at the entrance to her den. Silently, her body disappeared from the spot outside and reappeared inside her den. Quietly, she moved to lay next to her mate and attempted to go back to sleep. But unfortunately, sleep evaded her. The black she-wolf laid her head on her paws and sighed softly. Her deep amber eyes drifted toward her mate, still asleep beside her. She hated waking him. He had been good to her so far, but she couldn't help but have doubts sometimes. It was often times like this, when it was quiet and she was the only one awake. Her mind swirled with thoughts of betrayal and broken trust. Raziel wished most of the time for the thoughts to go away, but there were days, her bad days, where she accepted them and let them build and build inside her mind, blowing up out of proportion and driving icy needles into her heart. At least tonight was a better night, where she was able to hold them at bay.
indentAs she lay there, her mind wandered a bit, though thankfully not in a horrible direction. She had become such a horrible creature, from what she had been born as. The she-wolf recalled her past and let the good times play through her head. Sadly though, it was not long until the good turned to bad and her mind took a dive off the edge of a cliff. Somehow, she ended up standing in a softly lit forest, the sounds of rushing water and songbirds in her ears. In front of her lay a pool of blood. Gadriel's blood. Fear and sorrow and anger welled up inside her and she threw back her head and howled. A rustling in the brush cut off her howl, however, and then it was Dianobi who stepped out of the darkness, foam dripping from his mouth and eyes crazed with a fiery bloodlust. "Di," it was almost a whimper that left her maw, as she stepped backwards slightly, ears flattening against her skull. It was when she was finally forced to lunge at him that her eyes flashed open and she snarled. She then realized that she was in her den, her mate along with her. I guess I ended up falling back asleep, she thought to herself. Then she glanced at her mate. "I'm sorry, Snow. Quinn woke me when the moon was high, and I let myself fall back into sleep," she explained softly. Then, the black she-wolf was gone. She teleported out of the den silently and as soon as she was out, she shifted her form. She became a beautiful pale grey wolf with crystalline grey-green eyes and headed into the forest.
indentAs she headed out of the camp, she tasted the air, checking for different scents. Then, she caught one she liked. Alusia was near by, it seemed. Feeling the need for the younger she-wolf's company, Raziel chose to follow the scent. The she-wolf padded through the woods, her now pale grey coat standing out a bit in the shadows. At the moment, Raziel didn't mind. No one knew who she was in this form, except for Alusia. This was the form she used when she went searching for the other wolf, when she needed to be in the company of an Angel without being the Demon she had become. The she-wolf padded slowly through the forest, following Alusia's scent. It wasn't too long until she found the she-wolf. Raz could see Alusia in the camp, but the Beta stayed hidden. She then proceeded to teleport quickly. Raz let herself be seen by the younger she-wolf for a moment, meeting her eyes, then was gone, back into the woods outside the camp. She had made sure no one else had seen her thankfully, and hoped Lu would follow her scent to where she was.
