for countless generations, briarclan and moorclan have lived together in harmony. never had they had an
ordeal more severe than cats crossing the borders; and all conflicts were resolved in a peaceful exchange
of words— all until a now. last gathering, a dispute over a small strip of unclaimed land rippled throughou
t the two clans. briarclan's respected deputy, bearfang, and tigerfrost, a moorclan warrior, were caught i
n a heated discussion, before it was broken up by the leaders. not much soon after that night, a briarclan
dawn patrol carried on their regular duties; only, just as they passed a stream bordering the two groups o
f cats, they found bearfang's lifeless body half submerged in the water. distraught, they brought him back
for their clan to see. they'd just assumed that he had drowned, but as they readied the fallen deputy for
his burial, the medicine cat noticed through the fur, his neck had been punctured with teeth marks. horri
fied at the discovery, the leader could only think of who was responsible for bearfang's murder: tigerfrost.

there is a murderer on the loose, and no cat, excpet
two, know of his identity. tigerfrost is wrongfully ac-
cused and because of so, a bloody war erupts betwe-
en the clans. now it's up to the deputy's kin, a young
witness, the receiver of the prophecy, and a loner to
prove tigerfrost's innocence, and find the true killer

name is bearfang's littermate. she had been on the
patrol that found his body. distraught, she is more
than determined to find her brother's murderer, b
ut somehow, doesn't believe tigerfrost is guilty for
the crime. she will be the one to avenge his death.

briarclan
camp: briarclan camp is located deep in the forest
of their land. it's found in a large clearing with bria
r bushes woven in its perimeter as a barrier, and it'
s floor is of long, soft grass. most dens are inside la
rge logs of fallen trees- all except the leader's. it is
a spacious hollow below the gnarled roots of a gian
t, ancient oak. whenever the leader must call meet
ings, they climb the oak's lowest branch to gather t
he cats of the clan. the freshkill pile's in the middle

the meadow: even though briarlan's territory is mo
stly pines and oaks, there's a little meadow north of
camp where hares graze on the buds of wildflowers.

the stream: this stream is where the murder took p
lace. it is a large stream that separates the two clan
s. both groups of cats are more than welcome to fish
the salmon going up the water in the spring. when th
e tide is low, there are stones where cats can cross.

tall stone: tall stone is located at a very large mead
ow about half a mile from the stream, where the two
clans gather at moonhigh every month. there's a larg
e rock where leaders stand to make announcements.

moorclan
camp: moorclan camp is located at the bottom of t
wo rolling hills with soft moss and long grass at the
floor. all dens are made up of abandoned fox and b
adger burrows. the hills surrounding the hollow kee
p out the harsh wind and provide a cozy place to li
ve. a large rock is placed near the edge of camp w
here the leader calls meetings. and right below th
e boulder lies the freshkill pile for cats to pick out
any kind of prey, mainly rabbits, mice, and hawks.

adder peak: adder peak is a cliff not far from cam
p where cats usually go to hunt large birds, and add
ers that hide in the crevasses of scattered boulders.

the stream: this stream is where the murder took p
lace. it is a large stream that separates the two clan
s. both groups of cats are more than welcome to fish
