Why is life not fair?

That has been the question that lingered in every soul ever since the beginning of time came around to be born. It is not hard to take note of everyone in the world, and it is also not hard to put yourself above other souls. Sure, you know everyone is equal, but do you ever really put that in traffic? Are you ever waiting in line, or waiting for your turn, and you get anxious because you want the others to move faster because your turn is soon? In those moments, one does become selfish. And life is built around those moment. Life is one big line, that ever ends, and you never get to where you need.

Apart from the rest of the world, a small pack of wolves thrives. It is not a large pack, but just enough to keep themselves going. They have a young alpha male, who looks after the pack, and keeps an eye out. Although the winter storm keeps falling down, creating a blizzard, the wolves work as hard as they can to survive. They are all bones with skin, and are starved and deprived due to the never ending frost, which drives the animals away or into hibernation, where they are almost impossible to find. Every time any sign of food comes around, the pack has no problem going and getting it, but there is only so much a small pack can do to live. At nights they burrow into the snow and do what they can to survive the cold, even if they have to travel and follow the food, but they are determined to survive. If that was not the worst of it all, all the wolves of this pack were rejected from other packs in the past. Every wolf in this pack has a forum of disability that can not be fixed over time. Weather it is blindness, or a missing limb, or any combination in between, other packs found these wolves to be an anchor and weigh them down. So these wolves were excluded and exiled from the other packs.

They may be small, and weak, but their determination keeps the pack strong and pushing forward. No matter what life throws at this pack they bare it with strong fangs, even if their bones tremble beneath their think body and patchy fur.

xxxCybil is a special sort. Nicknamed Angel at a young age, she's always been very friendly and a kindred spirit to wolves who might normally be fearful of someone with such a high rank. As it is, Cybil makes it a point to be welcoming and accepting to anyone in the pack, quick to earn people's trust- and dare I say, their affections in some cases? Regardless, she's always held rank, politely turning down suitors, and maintaining delicate friendships whilst still enjoying light hearted flirtations. A girl still has to enjoy herself after all, right? None the less, she's honoured to hold rank as beta of the new pack, and wants to protect her packmates at all costs.

On the other hand, beware of Cyibl's dark side, for once you anger her- and it's not a hard feat if you try- she will not cease until she is satisfied with the punishment she doles out. As a beta, and a powerful one at that, Cybil has never had a problem putting others in their place, especially when they step too far out of line, or threaten the peace of the pack. Because of this, Cybil has a strong dislike for loners, mistrusting them instantly, and rarely giving them a chance to see any side of her except for the vicious she wolf.

Besides all topics of rank, Cybil herself is a very kindred wolf, eager to learn new things, and content to spend hours at a time sky gazing. Because of this, many think her to be childish, or niave, but the truth is that star gazing is the one thing that she feels she can use to fully organize her thoughts and calm her mind. With the heart of a romantic, Cybil enjoys the beauty she sees around her even in the harshest of times, and this can make her an inspiration to her pack mates.
