Nevith dipped her head and replied, "Look hon, you're barking up the wrong tree. In other words, you're making the wrong decision to let me join your pack. I'm trouble. Trouble is all I am and all I'll ever be. Shouldn't a precious pack dog like yourself know that by now?" She sighed, her ears flattening against her skull to nearly sculpt it. Of course the rouge wanted to tag along, but her morals were much stronger. She had vowed long ago to never join another pack for as long as she lived, and though it was a hard promise to keep, she stuck by her word. "If you forgive me for attempting to steal your food, I'll just go and steal your herbs. I'm a thief no matter what, whether you forgive me or you don't. I truly am thankful for your mercy, but I'm not the type of dog you want accompanying your friends." The Australian Shepherd tucked away her scowl and held a steady gaze. She was uncertain of what to do or say next. What if she kicks me out of the territory? What if she punishes me for not accepting her offer? Nevith was thinking of all the possibilities that could happen, but were most likely to not happen. However, she had no idea that this dog was merciful and gracious, for she saw all pack dogs as the same: cruel and unforgiving.
