    MALE | 4 | HEALER | TAGS; NONE | LOCATION: CAMP
Kinscem whined softly, his nose brushing the snowy ground, yelping when the cold stung his nose. Trembling, his ears laid flat against his head as his tail clung to his flank. He really didn't like he snow- he didn't like it at all.

But at the same time, he couldn't give flying back to his den with his tail tucked between his legs like a whimp. He had to stray strong, for the good of the pack. Especially since he was the shaman.

Standing up straight, his ears pricked up and his tail gave a hopeful wag as he brushed his muzzle against the ground as he tried to idenify his pack by their scents.

seven healer male interacting with dauntless

boopSeven watched him carefully as he thought, genuinely interested in his response. When he got one that had to do with other dogs' wellbeing instead of his own. Of course, typically Dauntless. Laughing softly under his breath, his icy blue hues looked back at the falling snow. "I would ask, What would I do if I wasn't scared?" He hummed, eyes not straying from the sky that continued to release snowflakes. "Fear seems to be something within all of us, and sometimes it strays us from acting upon that of which is right."
boopSeven paused, realizing how he didn't sound like himself. His tail wagged softly and he looked back at Dauntless. A dog like him needed an easy-going conversation to start the day, so he laughed yet again. "You are too nice for your own good." The shepherd swiped his chops with a lick of his tongue. Most brutes talked about- "Got any females in mind?" Seven interrupted his own thoughts, blurting out what he was going to say anyway. Brutes always talked about females, and females always talked about brutes. It was the way it was, right?

    ────DRAGON

    ────── [ gender ] female [ title ] gamma [ tags ] felon, bullet
    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

as dragon pulled up beside felon, she caught wind of bullet's straightforward remark. she swallowed a scoff at his sense of superiority. dragon planted her paws, eyes shifting to felon, curious to see what his reaction would be. the dog seemed to have fallen silent in thought. since it didn't seem he'd be talking anytime soon, dragon took the initiative. "morning, mutts. what's this talk about moving north?" once again, her irked gaze returned to bullet. the crabby dog fell back upon her haunches, wrapping her fluffy tail around her front miss. dragon sat confidently, spine straight and ears perked. her demeanor withheld a sense of inner supremacy.

Sampson smiles, cocking his head back at Cess. "A spy, huh? Don't let your mind wander too far, pup." The male lets out a faint chuckle, showing his appreciation with a slight tail wag as well. Sampson admired Cess's sweet behavior, how far her imagination would spread. It got him thinking, however, were there any neighboring spies? A different pack? He trails off, sitting down from his alert position from before. "I think it was just a gopher trying to hide from the cold, or somethin'."

Sampson feels an itch above his ear, scratching it hastily. He remembered that Cess had mentioned before wanting to help. "You said you wanted to help out with something, right? Have you considered being a mercenary? You could really help us out. Though, hunters probably need as just as much help. Not to mention border control." He gives a tired huff.

Bullet remained speechless, but straightened up a bit when Aztec began to speak. He tilts his head towards the sky, flattening his ears against the side of his head. "The same as I have been every night before." He tilts his position, casting a glance at Aztec, and then Felon, as a figure came up behind him. He kept a wary glance at the sky, as the snow began to fall faster. The brute rolls his eyes as the gamma made a hasty 'mutt' comment. He replies sternly, "It would be safe for us to continue to head north to avoid a harsh winter. We want to avoid freezing and a loss of food."

Bullet shifts his position, pushing his hind legs up from the cool ground so that he could stand. He turns to face the three. "Bring the pack together. We need to move as quickly as possible," the shepard orders. He considered getting a second option from he coequal, but brushed it off. There was an instinct in him that they needed to move soon.

The spitz's nose lay softly in the dirt, an earthy smell coating her senses. She pokes her head up at the sound of a bold, unfamiliar voice. Turning her head, the female glances from side to side but can't find the source of the voice. The voice reveals themselves, and she stares at the towering dog speaking to her. Her ears flatten, feeling defenseless against the brute. She jolts up from her position, backing up as slow as she could. The hairs on her back stand on end, but she stays deathly silent, and a second of pure silence feels as if it went on for hours. Besides her faint memories of her siblings at birth, Peach had never been introduced to another dog.

Peach stares at him, her heart dropping as she notices the strange dogs smile. Her ears perk up again when the brute sits down, giving her a sense of ease. "Its, uh, harder then it looks." She admits sheepishly, but continues to glimpse at the hole. "My name is, um, Peach," The dog answers, though she sounds unsure.

He prodded his friend's shoulder slightly forcefully and briefly glanced up at the clouded sky. "I rested well, and yourself?" he asked, shuffling from one paw to the other. The ground was cold. It was freezing. Felon didn't want to appear weak to the others by whining about the frozen earth, so he kept it to himself. His eyes met directly with Bullet's, following his statement. 'Moving' was the only word that spiked his awareness of the fact that the co-chief was even speaking. The pitbull mix wanted to put up a fight, an argument, but he knew it would do him no good. At a time like this, Felon's best shot was to obey the higher ranks and continue on as they wished. As much as it pained him to accept the German Shepherd's "command" (though it seemed as if he was only making a recommendation), Felon understood that it was most likely the best way to go if they wanted to survive this winter. The north would be warmer and prey would be less scarce - it was their best shot.

His head jerked to the side as he heard the sound of paws crunching into the already thickened snow. He was relieved to see that it was only Dragon, one of the pack's gammas. "Good mornin'," he replied, studying the dog's expression. Felon could easily tell that the gathering of dogs were concerned by the sudden snowfall and the news of heading north. The pitbull mastiff mix didn't speak another word, allowing Bullet to answer Dragon's question. He believed that it was not his duty to respond, realizing that he barely knew anything about the subject himself. He turned to Aztec, his good, ol' friend and shot her a slight smile. It was unusual to see Felon smile, and he rarely ever showed signs of joy around the top ranks, due to obvious reasons. But at that moment, he felt as if his world was beginning to crumble. What harm could a small smile do to him at this point? He needed the extra drop of happiness, anyway, considering that he'd soon be leaving his home. Everyone would be moving that morning and it'd be easily forgotten about. Right?

Nevith slightly bared her teeth, afraid that the pack dog would attack her. "Don't come near me, don't even try," is what she felt like shouting, but her mouth was sealed shut, for her will to survive this encounter was greater than her will to come off as brave. She quickly rolled onto her elbows and lifted herself up to her paws, standing face to face with the other female. The Australian Shepherd took a few deep breaths and covered her teeth with her lips, realizing that she had been snarling for a few minutes subconsciously. "The name's Nevith," she announced loud enough for the entire forest to hear, "and I'm here to steal your food!" With those last words, she kicked off of her hind paws and bounded into the air, racing away from the scene. She expected the pack dog to chase after her. After all, pack dogs were crazy like that. They did everything they could to protect their "precious" food pile. Such greedy mutts, she thought to herself. Nevith didn't despise pack wolves, despite her strong dislike for many of their rituals and routines, but she tried her best not to become sucked into their lifestyle. She was done with that life. It was in her past.

As the loner sped through the camp, steering clear of any other dogs, she could sense that something was wrong. She looked from the right to the left in hopes of seeing an enormous mound of carcasses, but her eyes failed her. Nevith skidded to a halt and attempted to catch her breath. She was startled to see other dogs in the distance, but she couldn't tell if they were watching her or not. She decided that they weren't, for one of them would have probably already ran over there and tackled her down. The Shepherd sniffed the dry grass that was now covered in frost and sprinkles of snow and whimpered quietly under her breath. These dogs don't have food... Nevith growled and slashed her claws into the soil, furious that she had put herself into his position only to realize that they had no food, or at least not much of it. This isn't like me. I need to calm down... The rouge inhaled and exhaled deeply and shut her eyes in an attempt to relax herself. Little did she know that only trouble followed.

kami hunter female interacting with nevith

boopKami yipped loudly, attempting to alarm the entire pack of the situation at hand. Immediately after, she chased with a slim figure that tried to get as quickly as possible to the rogue. So she can sink her teeth into their- Kami cut herself off, huffing in annoyance at her own thoughts. Kami slowed when Nevith finally realized their food shortage in the area, and growled at her. "It's a pity, isn't it? Too bad you didn't ask first." Despite the growl, her words were not, surprisingly, laced with animosity. The rogue could do nothing to her, they were in the midst of a large pack. At least, she hoped Nevith could do nothing. If none responded to her yap, then she was still on her own unless someone spotted them.
boopKami strained trying to not lunge and attack, acting composed and kind was hard when someone attempts to steal from you. "It's snowing early," She paused after stating the obvious, debating if she should say it, "Maybe you could stick with us for the winter if you ask our chiefs kindly." Kami went through with it anyway, but the words sounded morphed and jumbled in her head as she mentally banged her head against a tree. What was she doing? Why was she acting so buddy-buddy with the loner all of a sudden? Air hissed through her clenched jaws as she shuffled her feet, uncomfortable. In a way, she convinced herself she was doing the right thing. Frankly, Nevith had proven to be very fast, and if attacking her would only result in her bolting. All in all, she was in quite the predicament.

necessity cadet female interacting with sampson

boopThe young mudi nodded enthusiastically when he questioned the spy, but pouted playfully when he said that her mind shouldn't wander too far. She didn't take it to heart, assuming that he was joking. Her thoughts were proven correct when he chuckled and wagged his tail slightly. Cess huffed, tilting her head when he mentioned a gopher. "If it's a gopher, we should catch it. Or, maybe it's not a gopher at all?" She meant the last in a light-hearted manner, though Cess knew that Samson should probably not get so worked up over a stir in the bushes.
boopThe young cadet's excitement raised a few degrees when being invited to join the mercenaries. She knew she was a versatile kind of athletic dog, so Cess could probably be anything se set her heart on. When the hunters and border patrol was mentioned, she sat back on her haunches. "Hunting seems really cool I suppose, but border patrol is boring! I want to actually help out everyone! I can do that as a hunter or a mercenary, right?"
boopTruth be told, the prospect of chasing something and herding it seemed excitable and really cool for her. Although she had that feeling, the invitation seemed really tempting due to the idea of being a soldier. Also, she could be with Samson, who was one of the dogs she really looked up to in this pack.

She eyeballed the dog who was coming straight at her, hoping with all her might that she wouldn't pounce. To her relief, the pack dog came to a stop and began to engage in conversation with Nevith. The Australian Shepherd considered her kind offer to invite her into the pack for the winter. "I do appreciate the offer," she began, "but shouldn't you face the obvious first? I'm a loner and I've just tried to steal your pack's food. Why would you want me to join you for any amount of time?" Nevith was truly thankful that the other female had asked her, making her realize that pack dogs weren't all bad, but she still had her doubts. The rouge took a step back, her legs shaking from the encounter. She didn't trust pack dogs, especially after what had happened to her all those years ago. They had kicked her out, banished her. How could she ever trust their kind again? But she shook her head, disagreeing with her thoughts, and decided that she needed to survive, that perhaps allying with them would guarantee her survival.
      "I'll think about it."

kami hunter female interacting with nevith

boopKami relaxed noticeably when the rogue didn't take her offer the wrong way. With a smile and a small sweep of the tail, she dipped her head. When she realized that her question wasn't answered, the grey female thought hard. Why did she? "I think.." She began, sighing heavily, "that everyone deserves a chance, no matter their past deeds. You aren't clawing my face off, so I'm assuming your one of those who needs a chance direly." Kami awkwardly shuffled her paws, not understanding the words escaping her maw. It was true, what she said, though. This pack had given her a second chance and taken her in. For that, she was forever grateful, and learned to do the same to others.
boop"Besides, we could use some extra paws." The addition to her previous statement made her mind remember the forgotten prey pile. There was not a lot of food, of course. It was winter, and the snow was just beginning to fall. Their mammal prey, like deer, would have migrated a while back, so their best bet at food at this moment was just small game.

Nevith dipped her head and replied, "Look hon, you're barking up the wrong tree. In other words, you're making the wrong decision to let me join your pack. I'm trouble. Trouble is all I am and all I'll ever be. Shouldn't a precious pack dog like yourself know that by now?" She sighed, her ears flattening against her skull to nearly sculpt it. Of course the rouge wanted to tag along, but her morals were much stronger. She had vowed long ago to never join another pack for as long as she lived, and though it was a hard promise to keep, she stuck by her word. "If you forgive me for attempting to steal your food, I'll just go and steal your herbs. I'm a thief no matter what, whether you forgive me or you don't. I truly am thankful for your mercy, but I'm not the type of dog you want accompanying your friends." The Australian Shepherd tucked away her scowl and held a steady gaze. She was uncertain of what to do or say next. What if she kicks me out of the territory? What if she punishes me for not accepting her offer? Nevith was thinking of all the possibilities that could happen, but were most likely to not happen. However, she had no idea that this dog was merciful and gracious, for she saw all pack dogs as the same: cruel and unforgiving.

kami hunter female interacting with nevith

boopKami's fur pricked upwards as she made herself look slightly larger and more threatening to the other dog, though she made no move to attack, because the other had not engaged first. Her head tilted as she listened to her speak about herbs and thievery. Kami huffed, responding with a curt, "Incorrect!" She chuckled slightly, then stopped. The dog didn't know why she had laughed; it had just seemed to be appropriate.
boopCarrying on where she left off, the female said, "You will not steal our herbs, or anything else of the sort. If you would've you would have done it a while ago, right when you realized we had no food." Her tail wagged slightly as she noticed she was on to something in her own way, "You, Nevith, are certainly someone I would like to accompany my friends with. After all, you know to be grateful, and you recognize that a 'precious pack dog like' myself is not going to kill you," Hopefully not, she wanted to say, but didn't. The words died on her tongue.
boopOf course, her old pack would of obliterated the rogue the moment she stepped foot near their camp. The thought sent shivers down her spine, and she lowered her head a bit unconsciously. I'm not in that pack anymore, Kami reminded herself, even if the idea of the pack terrified her, she still had this one. This pack was much better, she knew.
